Nope, I assume it will be Blame Someone Else where it should be still preventable from fully crashing or don't do this in some method if it's spawning it bad or creative or who knows what. I just saw 150+ Crashes on it so I assume it's possible to prevent it from crashing right out. But a lot devs out there sometimes just say Meh!
Just passing it on since I know some of my players are having it. I will leave it at that not going spend 100 hours trying to argue about reporting a bug
Hello! I seem to be having a problem, most likely operator error.>.< I made a spell that is Self + Haste and after crafting it in the alter I got a 0 mana spell that doesn't seem to do anything. What did I do wrong?
Equip the spell in your hand, then run the command "/dumpnbt". Upload the generated file and paste a link to it here, or in a PM, and I can take a peek.

-Armor XP Infusion Tier GUI
-Armor XP Infusion Mechanics
-Lightning Guardian
-Finish Affinity Changes
-Finalize Compendium entries
-Squash as many bugs from GitHub as I can
-Add Thaumcraft Aspects to all Items/Blocks/Mobs
While these aren't exactly small additions, the list is shrinking!

Your spell is corrupted; it didn't match the recipe. This can happen if one of the items is missed, or if the spell parchment is thrown in early.
Either way, the data that dictates what the spell should do is not there. What was the combination again? Self + Haste? I'll try to make it in my dev copy and see if there is a problem.
Edit: Worked just fine - I'm going to call this fixed in 1.2, as I can't reproduce it.
About the failed spell, I've had it happen to me once, and that was when a buddy (on a server) used a Coin of Fortune (Item magnet from Xeno's Reliquary) and accidentally picked up the component as I threw it in. The altar seemed to think that everything was fine, and went normally, except the spell (touch dig I think) had the whole 0 mana cost, utterly useless, something-went-wrong going on.

In Thaumcraft there's a Research System which works with aspects, these Aspects are gained by scanning Items and other things with the 'Thaumometer', i guess Mithion means adding those Aspects to AM2 items :3 If he wouldn't do that the AM2 Items would not be Scanable.

Well, technically, they would be scanable, but you just won't gain any knowledge from it.
A good portion of AM2 objects already have aspects, but I'm looking forward to it.
It's quite fun to play with both Thaumcraft and Ars Magica 2, flinging spells left and right while commanding golems and messing around with things

Golems are so silly that you kind of need to be a wizard to get them to do anything useful.

I think Mithion already stated that he's working on the last 1.6.4 Version and then will port it to 1.7 but not sure
