So, originally it was the former, but it transmogrified into the latter? That means that everybody was right about the origins of the mod; who, besides you, of course, would have guessed it?
I admit though, I still haven't played the tabletop in a traditional setting, but that would be fun to do at some point. Who's up for a game?
Count me in! I'm no stranger to playing tabletop RPGs over the internet with systems like MapTools or Roll20 if that's what you're looking for. If you were hoping to play on an actual, physical tabletop, then i'm probably more than a little out of range.
^ I'd like to play as well, but I have no idea how to do it over the internet, and I'd also need to buy all the books in order to understand it, so somebody who'd be willing to suffer my inane chattering would have to help me along for a while. It's sad that most of the websites out there that exist to help people play tabletop games over the internet are so slow, otherwise more people would use them.
Teamspeak works fine, and that's all you really need. There's also a couple programs that are out there for maps, gametable comes to mind, and sites for it, like rolld20. Tabletop sim is probably what I'm going to use in the future for dnd, just a little pricy at 15 bucks, gonna grab a 4 pack when it goes on sale.

Maptools is my personal favourite. Requires a VPN to use over the internet, but that's not hard to set up, and it's far more feature complete than Roll20 is IMO
So, suggestion. Would it be possible to implement a Sigil of Lightning Attraction, or something to that nature? I love playing a lightning mage, and I love the tension that comes from stepping outside while it's raining resulting in up to three lightning bolts a second. The only problem is that I like to build houses/wizard towers that look like this: . Lightning seems to completely ignore any transparent blocks, including magic walls, which means that if I step out from under the (hastily added) quartz canopy, I instantly get pummelled by lightning. I really don't want to have to do the equivalent of boarding up the tower's windows to accomodate for it, as I like how it looks, and several other players beside me use it too. To that end, i'd love it if it were possible to build a lightning rod-esque device which attracts lightning to itself rather than hitting the player within a certain radius. You could make it fairly expensive to prevent the player from just littering them everywhere, and it would mean that a lightning mage could have a lot more options regarding where they want to live. Also, having lightning continuously striking rods around your house would look undeniably badass.
Why not have a lightning rod device that generates essence/power when struck by lightning?
Hi! Thank you very much on your efforts in making this mod! It's the best!
But, please, could you add a config to disable the moonstone meteors?
I'm asking these, because i have an adventure map with my friends that uses ars magica 2 spells, but some areas are protected and the players can't break the meteors, leaving the map full of meteor and stones.
If you do that for the 1.7.4 version, please add in 1.6.4 too

Why not have a Nexus type for every affinity?
Light can be life,
Dark can be Ender,
and Neutral could be Arcane. Lightning would generate power from lightning strikes, water would generate power by removing adjacent water source blocks, earth would let you convert ground type blocks (Dirt, gravel, sand, and ores) into power like the old neutral nexus, fire would let you convert burnable things into power like the old neutral nexus, air would gain power like a light nexus based on how many air blocks were in a radius around it, ice would gain power from having ice and snow related items thrown into it, nature would gain like a light nexus based on how many trees and flowers are around it,
and neutral Nexi would siphon power from mages at an upgradable rate

I did consider suggesting that, but it'd be a little overpowered for lightning mages. I'm not sure you realize just how much lightning they can call down upon themselves just by standing outside in the rain.
Yes, but you do realize that if you make the power-per-bolt, then they'd have to stand outside in the rain for quite a long time. And yes, I'm quite aware of how much lightning they get <.< I'm very fond of a movement spell which includes haste, telekinesis (To prevent fall damage), and jump boost. I regret spamming that spell every time it rains.

Telekinesis prevents fall damage? I thought it just attracted items to you. I have two haste/leap spells, one with slowfall and one without. Being able to skip the slowfall part entirely would be quite handy, as it's a lot slower for overland travel.
I must slap myself now. Twice. I meant to say levitation. - _ - I'm sorry. And yes, it does go much faster without the slowfall part, although that's still useful for mountainous terrain, where you can't jump that much and you have to compensate with height.
Already on it but if you would like your own version or rendition feel free to give it a shot Mine will most likely take some time yet before the first release, gotta finish all that fun IRL stuff.
Try using Opis to see if you're running into the Hecate spawning bug (too many of them spawn and crowd out other mobs).
If that's the case, Opis has a button to kill all of the hecates, and let other spawning continue.
Also, if that is the cause, make sure you turn your hecate spawn rate down in config.
Otherwise, it could be a different mod like Mo' Creatures interfering with typical spawns.

Mith, this isn't a request for an ETA or anything, but man, I can't wait for 1.2! Your Youtube teaser is killing me! Did you figure out the cause of the Hecate Spawning bug?
Regardless, thanks for the great mod. My friends and I are loving it!
Thank you for answering my question, Mithion.

As far as I know it's already fixed for 1.2
