Score another one who's not getting XP for projectile spells - spent my three starter points on Projectile, physical, and Arcane. Neither the physical or arcane projectile are working. /respec reports a "do not have permissions" error; tried it in Creative and Survival (single player, though).
If anyone knows a way to forcably reset my skill points so I can get touch/dig, I'm all ears; otherwise it looks like I'm waiting for a fix.

Spawned in 2 blue infinity orbs in creative. All sorted until a fix - that gave me 2 spell points to use.
Have you tried the /giveskillpoints command ?
I'm asking because I can't seem to get that command to work.
I have tried all combinations of the <amount_"color"> [<player>] commands.
In regards to your tower question...... I have not seen any towers either.
I have posted this question on another forum, but no response.
I have seen videos showing the AM2 buildings, but I have never seen any.
Does the MOD "better dungeons" need to be installed ?

Interesting, I am getting XP and skill points from my projectile spell book.
I know the Arcane Compendium says that if you have it installed it will have specific AM dungeons. I just posted on the Better Dungeons Forum, and the mod author replied "Mithion has not implemented it yet, you can manually add items to chest files"
I really like this mod. What got me hooked on Ars Magica1 was the idea of making stronger spell to conquer a tower and take it for my own.lol Thou AM2 is still great, I feel less and less to progress without the need of having stronger enemies to use spells on. Don't get me wrong, I'm still loving the mod. I even installed Better Dungeons(I like that mod to) before I found out the Arcane Compendium lied to me.lol I can't wait to see what Mithion adds in the way of structures/mobs. If its anything like AM1, I will love it.
I don't have the descriptions for shapes, components, or modifiers in the arcane compendium. There's no descriptions on the multiblock structures either, except the gateway which showed up after making a neutral nexus. I'm assuming I have to craft or unlock something for them to show up, but can't figure out what.
I had almost everything already unlocked in 1.0.2b before upgrading to 1.1.0. I've tried picking up and placing the Occulus, desk, and the top block of the crafting altar. I've also tried making a new compendium.
Also there is a blank entry at the top of the items page that I can't click on or do anything with.

Is that the full crash log? The crash log should show a lot of other things what entity crashed your game, where it is, mods installed etc.
Oh yeah Mithion, why is there another regeneration effect in AM2 when you could've just used the vanilla regeration effect?

Noticed something kind of funny, if you open a rift near a Dark Nexus, it thinks it's a mob and will drag the rift over to the nexus and try to eat it. Damage indicators even shows it having 20 health. I laughed momentarily.

I've made sure the XP bar is visible and try casting spells but I no longer get any experience points. I have also tried recreating the compendium but then i noticed that everything I have unlocked from a previous version is no longer there either. I'm not sure what the previous version was but I know the compendium had tabs on the side instead of the current clickable subject headers.
Is there a folder that saves my player information specific to the client that is out of sync with my server? I'm not that far advanced so I doubt deleteing all my progress and starting again is no out of the question. Anyone else experience this?

I was indeed using a projectile spell and that would certainly explain the problem. I did JUST read the patch notes for 1.1 and now know why my spells are gone. I see there is a nother patch for my mod pack so I hope that fixes the issue.

I'm not talking about low rez magic, i'm talking about items mainly, cuz they look so odd next to the vanilla 16x16, it also causes a bit of lag for the players with less fortunate computers, so thats all i can say xD

Stop treating mod devs poorly. These people mod as a hobby or as a service to the community, they don't have to take your suggestion and you are not entitled to anything from them.
While crafting a spell I ran into an item that I couldn't even find in the creative inventory. What is this item? Thanks in advance!
You need to link the essence that the spell requires to the altar. Right click the nexus or battery that has the power that it needs with the crystal wrench. Then, right click the crafting altar block (that fancy grey block with the designs on it in the roof of your altar) with the crystal wrench. Then, flip the switch on your altar. If you have enough power, the switch will flip back and the spell recipe will ask for the next item.
is it normal to find infinity orbs in chests? And if so how commen should there be? I have several mods that add dungeons and they seem rather common. I found a chest earlier with 3 red orbs in it! and there were a couple blue and green in the same dungeon. It there a a way to modify their rarity? If this is intended its fine, if not I'd like to fix it. Does anyone recognize the "dungeon" below? Maybe is an issue with that mod (too many chests maybe? Its also build from half slabs so there were no mobs).
