I'm curious if anyone has seen these before, and if so, is there any way to prevent them from spawning short of turning off all rubbertree worldgen? I'd like my rubber trees to spawn only in swamps, but if this monstrosity is going to be showing up in my swamps I won't be the happiest camper.
yeah, now that you mention it i've been wondering about that too, from what i understood the sacred rubber-tree is meant to be something you have to work for, not just luck into.

i keep making the same mistake, i think "oh, i've given them a few months, surely it'll be fixed by now" THAT is why i seem to ALWAYS be angry to some of you, my advice is to get the lead out.
there were nice things here, until the mod author threw a tantrum.

I'm not sure this is the actual sacred rubber tree, at least from the pictures I've seen online.
On an unrelated note, does anyone know the correct syntax for the MFR common.cfg? I'm trying to whitelist biomes for the rubber trees, and so far my attempts have all failed. Nothing seems to get the mod to stop spawning rubber trees everywhere.

it may indeed not be, i just recalled that somehow i wound up finding and chopping down one that suspiciously gave sacred rubber tree saplings, so i assumed they were the same.

And what the heck is power crystals for? I can't see how its connected to any of the other mods in any way, and the documentation in the first post is pretty poor.
It's a mod that's hanging around in a couple of friend's modpacks, but I can't see what its actually root for, or if its just some ancient legacy thing hanging around from primordial times.
Powercrystals isn't a mod, he's the author of the original MFR. He used to make/maintain MFR, NetherOres, and Power Converters until he stopped, and now it's maintained by the folks in the Cult. Idk if they pay attention to this thread any though, which kinda sucks

I'm not sure what you mean when you say it's "not a mod". Maybe its not a mod that actually adds interactable content to a server, but there's definitely a "Powercrystals Core" listed.
If Powercrystals is the author, and the Core is for the older versions of things like MFR, does this mean that for updating a modpack to 1.7.10 powercrystals core would get replaced by CoFHCore from the http://teamcofh.com/ website?
Exactly. Yeah, powercrystals core was the "core mod" for the older versions of the Powercrystals mods, but now most of them work off of CoFHCore. Kinda like how Chickenbones's mods run off of codechickencore, or Bspkr's mods on bspkrscore. Mod authors tend to do that. I was a little confused because in your first post you just inquired what "power crystals" was for, not "powercrystalscore." Sorry for the confusion though, glad to clarify things.
Sigh you guys are out of the loop let me try to give a brief history lesson in MFR. First it was created by powercrystals. Long ago. One of the original automation mods that existed. Then he left it for someone to work on. I believe AtomicStryker. Anyways 1.4.7 came around and powercrystals retook over the mod and worked hard on it and radically remade the mod. Hence reloaded. At some point in the 1.5.2 dev cycle powercrystals vanished. He had someone he helped him code and that was skyboy. He took over the mod and got it up to date for 1.6.4. However now its apart of teamcofh. So when teamcofh took over hosting the mod powercrystals core was abandoned and now uses cofh core and associated mods. I am not sure but I believe skyboy is still working on the mod though I have no clue just that the files are now hosted at teamcofh.com Now this is just my observations from afar I have nothing to do with any of this and am just a fan. So take what I have said with a grain of salt but essentially this is all true.
No offense bro, but you didn't read what I said thoroughly enough, I basically said the same thing, minus all of the middle stuff. I know I'm talking bout, trust me. But yes, you are correct, powercrystals did disappear once before his most latest disappearance, but all that he needed to know atm was that powercrystals (once again) no longer maintains the mod, and henceforth, CoFH core is the core library for MFR and NetherOres, 2 of the major powercrystals mods. Power converters hasn't been taken up yet, but FlatBedrock's functionality has been integrated into CoFHcore by option.

Dude chill I was just giving the history of the situation and yes I did read it and I felt like you didnt explain enough. Finally the flatbedrock function always existed with cofh the powercrystals version which was a stand alone mod was discontinued because of duplicate feature. It wasnt integrated.
I wasn't mad if that's what I came across as. FlatBedrock I didn't know much about, so thank you for clarifying that for me, but otherwise, yeah, I knew what I was talking about, and that's all that matters /s
Ah, good. So now that I'm updating our modpack for 1.7.10 I can safetly strike Powercrystal's Core off the list of things to worry about and just use the CoFHCore.
.... is it just me or does any one else say "Cough" as in Team Cough or CoughCore in their head whenever they read CoFH?

Not usually, no. I usually say every letter of C-O-F-H, but every now and again I'll call it Cult (CoFH stands for the Cult of the Full Hub btw), but no one else ever does that.
It's actually *in* the floor. I've spawned endermen, wither skeles, ghasts, and blaze with no problem. Holding the precision sledge while looking at the spawner will show you the range. You may wish to make your floor double thick to prevent accidents. YMMV, as they say.
Thanks for sharing your experiences! It's working like a charm now
Well, now I seem to be having another problem. One of the config options for Nether Ores isn't working properly, and I am unable to find a working thread, or even some sort of mythical "Github" error tracker. (To be fair I don't even know what Github is beyond some buzzword that people throw around. Clicking links to any of the Team CoFH projects gives me 404's.)
I have no clue where the proper place for this question is at the moment, sorry, but I was hoping to know if anyone is successfully running latest 1.7.10 CoFH mods (including in particular MFR 2.8.0RC3-591) with Java 8u25? Forge version 10.13.2.1232.
No crashes to report or anything, I've just been lazy and haven't seen these MFR api errors in my logs until now. I suspect they're unrelated to Java version but thought it best to check.
Hello, I have used your mod of MineFactoryReloaded, Nether Ores and other mod of this series for a long time. They really made the minecraft more interesting, so I also put them into use on my mc server. My server players all liked it very much. However, I have to update my server version to 1.7.2 for some reasons which is not compatible with the mod. The closest version of the mod I could find is 1.7.10, but I really do not want to make my players upset. So I wonder if there are some versions of the mod which is suitable for the 1.7.2. I don't know the mod programming very well and since it could be used in 1.7.10 maybe there won't be much difference for 1.7.2. If you have ones which is compatible with the 1.7.2 client or maybe when you update it, please inform me. I really appreciate it.

No, you don't. You need CofHCore. PowerCrystalsCore was dropped in favor of integration with CofH.
