I feel compelled to report this, on account that it could cause difficulties with both mods involved:
TC4 Nodes becoming attached to Archimedes' Ships airship, and able to be transplanted.
No game crash was apparently caused by this, but I think it warranted being reported. An exploit, perhaps?
Archimedes Ships can become connected to surrounding blocks, other than water, sand, dirt or gravel when you "land" them, and become part of the vessel, whether the whole can fly or not, when you "get on board" again.
I am still having problem with research though. I just can't figure it out (probably the 'old' thing again). I successfully researched Greatwood wand core but have no clue how that happened as since all of the nodes were not active nor were all of the appropriate runes linking the nodes.(?). I am trying to get Research Expertise currently but can't figure out why it won't work...nodes have a clear straight path, no blocking runes, active runes are in place with not more than one blank space. For whatever reason I can only get two of three nodes to light up. This is where I waste points..."oh, it must have to go here". off (point) move, on (point)..."nope that wasn't it....hmmm, maybe it should go here". off (point) move, on (point) nope....repeat...six points wasted with no results. Got a screen shot if someone is willing to make some suggestions (and can help this grumpy old man figure out how to post the image).
There is a starting node. This node is special - it can only connect with one rune - you cannot put a rune on either side of it and get it to split.

Archimedes ships can be relatively indiscriminate in what it picks up. Which is why it has a config file that lets you specify the block ids of things that should not be attached to ships when compiled.
You will want to add the block id of TC's node to that list.
I have discovered that hungry nodes do not eat Tinkers' Construct ore blocks. Why is that?
afaik Hungry nodes honor the hardness of nearby blocks, and thus, won't eat blocks too hard to be destroyed by dynamite. E.g. Obsidian. Extra Utilities X-times compressed cobblestone. And Tinkers Constructs ores - which have extreme hardness to account for their mining level being greater than diamond.
Grumpy, yes (just look at my pic <----). Old, well that's relative.
Thank you for your (and everyone else's) input/suggestions.
I missed a very key concept and that is that primal aspects can be combined to gain research points in all other aspects. I was under the misconception that after 'discovering' an aspect by combining others no further research points could be gained in that manner.
Also, I did not know that bookcases generated research points....this is helpful.
If I can accumulate more Sensus I will (hopefully) be able to research the deconstruction table which (theoretically) should solve my problem.

The most common problem people runs into is forgetting that the starting node (the one that is lit when you begin) can link to one and only one node. This means that this node has to start or end your linking chain. It can never be in the middle. I'm pretty sure this is the issue you are having.

4.0.5b: My Pech have gone - im using a minimap tool to try and find them and I find 1 or two in my magical forest, many meters underground. Only got to them using a wand with excavation focus. Would never have found them if not for Zans. I thought they were still spawning as another forest was rife with them, but I realize I always visit that area via a portal, so I think the pech I am seeing are just leftovers from 4.0.3 or whenever they did still spawn, and when they have despawned my world will be befit.
(In regard to a mod that gives realistic animal genetics):
Would you really rather have bees that make diamonds and oil with magical genetic blocks?
... did I really ask that?

I think this may be part of a more general problem with Minecraft, which Thaumcraft has inherited: If you hang out in an area, neutral mobs tend to die off and/or drift underground over time. I don't know how many times I've seen a pack of wolves in a forest early, and come back later with a pile of bones only to find no sign of the wolves.
The secret to all the Sensus you'll ever need involves jungles.
Too bad he's talking about research points, not vis.

I did some CraftTweaker scripts for Mystical Agriculture. They fill in a couple of small gaps in MA, and also let you make or duplicate not only vanilla plants, but the blocks, plants and wood from Quark and Biomes O'Plenty. Also spawn eggs for most vanilla mobs! The scripts are here on Github.

It's essentia, not vis. Vis is the energy obtained from nodes and is only useable as primal aspects. Essentia is the obtained from breaking down items and is used in alchemy, infusion and a few other thaumic devices. Sorry, minor pet peeve of mine. I felt the need to point out the diffrence between vis and essentia.

Due to my snarky and sarcastic personality I can easily be seen as a jerk. If I've offended you in any way it was likely unintended.

How do I make chicken nuggets?
Cook chicken in the Infernal Furnace.
I have bookshelves installed now, too - looks pretty nice in my sorcery chamber.
Also: yes, how DO you make chicken nuggets, and food nuggets in general...?
Nobody knows how chicken nuggets are made.
Aren't the chicken nuggets a byproduct of cooking chicken in the infernal furnace?

I don't know what you're referring to, but

EDIT: I got beaten to my own answer! I blame the lousy internet I have at work. He he.
P.S: Never noticed word censoring until I tried to write a different word for "lousy".

Vis: Concentrated magical energy as found in wands and nodes.
Aspect: A specific kind of Vis, akin to an element.
Essentia: The physical form of a distilled aspect.
