Now, this is just a guess here based on what I've seen before but you might be using a mod that is using an old version of Thaumcraft's API. Again, this was just a guess, I'm not certain.

They'll spawn in player made Magical Forests. I think it might need a light level of 8 or lower (same as Hostiles), as that was when I seen my only Pech spawn... before walking right into Taintacles and died in front of my eyes.
Okay, this is gonna sound like a dumb question, but how do you get Brainy Zombies to spawn? Can they spawn from normal zombie spawners?
If you don't have a village nearby then cure some Zombie Villagers to villagers and build a village near your base. This draws a continuous stream of all kinds of zombies (including the brain ones) to the village a night. Extra bonus is the zombies with gold armor which can be distilled into Lucrum phials for trade with pechs.
I harvested over 100 zombies at my mob grinder around zombie and skeleton spawners and did not get a brain (got 6 gold armor with looting II sword though). Either bad luck or they don't spwan there.

and how to enchant golems they just seem to stay on central pedestal but not as an item..
You have to throw a Splash Potion of Weakness, and then give them a golden apple. It only works on Zombie Villagers, though. (And presumably Angry Zombie Villagers)

I took a screenshot to make sure it wasn't a Magical Forest biome. It's a Pech Stalker BTW if it changes anything.
Edit: If you see on the minimap, there's a second Pech. I really want to know why they're more common in the Fungi Forest biome than a flipping Magical Forest Biome.
Second Edit: I unpaused and threw my diamond pick at it. I'm going to try to use a lead and get him to my base.

Fungi Forest is a magical biome if I remember correctly.

There is a rare mythical button called "Search" that likes to answer questions; however, due to its nature, it often blends in with its surroundings so as to remain hidden.
So, I know somebody else had a question with Archimedes' Ships, but I have one too:
Sometimes, AS is buggy when compiling and decompiling blocks on a ship. Is it relatively safe to include multiblock structures (such as an infusion altar, connected pipes and jars, as well as other tile entities) on a so-called flying fortress?
Or is this (again >_>) a question for the appropriate author?
In my experience, the lack of rotational data for thaumcraft items inside the AS .mrot file causes some bugs. I am currently trying to solve this in my private pack, but I have no idea how to get the right bitmasking.
That being said, I have actually attached several structures to my ship so far. The research table has a tendency to need to be broken and reset, but won't pop off, if given the space to rotate. The infusion altar works fine, IF you use a fencepost to connect the top block to the rest (and it does not impede the altar's functions), but AS won't bring that top block unless it is touching the rest of the ship. I have yet to test the arcane bore during flight however. I imagine it will work fine if left in the down position, but it will need to have the bore base reset.

Pechs spawn in any biome that is considered "magical". Also you won't be able to use a lead on them as they're considered hostile mobs. A better way to move them would be to bait them by dropping items.

Due to my snarky and sarcastic personality I can easily be seen as a jerk. If I've offended you in any way it was likely unintended.
I lured it to my base. I went to get a name tag for it, after using half a stack of torches to lead it. I went to where he was, dropped a torch, waited 3 minutes. He despawned.
Edit: False alarm, he was inside the village. I now made a pit for Pete (thought of the name when bringing him back). Now that I think about it, I should of called him Pete the Pick Peck. Also, is it possible to get the items with the gold hand back from him? (I spent 10 diamonds on the pick)

If it was a dropped item he picked up there's a chance you could get it back as they sometimes give items in their inventory when you gamble. If you used the pick to gamble with then it's gone for good.

*another question does the quality f the golem affect its range or does cetain actions/core ahve different ranges?
I ask this becauseI have a gather golem and he seem to have twice the range of my harvest golems.. and my woodgolem seem to ahev more range than my straw golem...
Harvest and chop golems have a much shorter range than most other cores (4 block radius vs 16). The material shouldn't matter though. Did you put a water upgrade on the wood golem, or make him Advanced?

They'll spawn in player made Magical Forests. I think it might need a light level of 8 or lower (same as Hostiles), as that was when I seen my only Pech spawn... before walking right into Taintacles and died in front of my eyes.

If you don't have a village nearby then cure some Zombie Villagers to villagers and build a village near your base. This draws a continuous stream of all kinds of zombies (including the brain ones) to the village a night. Extra bonus is the zombies with gold armor which can be distilled into Lucrum phials for trade with pechs.
I harvested over 100 zombies at my mob grinder around zombie and skeleton spawners and did not get a brain (got 6 gold armor with looting II sword though). Either bad luck or they don't spwan there.

You have to throw a Splash Potion of Weakness, and then give them a golden apple. It only works on Zombie Villagers, though. (And presumably Angry Zombie Villagers)
As for Golems, shift-right click, I believe.

I'm using a bit of mods with this one. Two noteworthy mods are Ars Magika 2 and Biomes O Plenty. I was flying around, mapping out the continent to see if the Taint was bad in the whole thing. I dropped my map, and went down to grab it. I grabbed it, and this appeared:
I took a screenshot to make sure it wasn't a Magical Forest biome. It's a Pech Stalker BTW if it changes anything.
Edit: If you see on the minimap, there's a second Pech. I really want to know why they're more common in the Fungi Forest biome than a flipping Magical Forest Biome.

Fungi Forest is a magical biome if I remember correctly.
In my experience, the lack of rotational data for thaumcraft items inside the AS .mrot file causes some bugs. I am currently trying to solve this in my private pack, but I have no idea how to get the right bitmasking.
That being said, I have actually attached several structures to my ship so far. The research table has a tendency to need to be broken and reset, but won't pop off, if given the space to rotate. The infusion altar works fine, IF you use a fencepost to connect the top block to the rest (and it does not impede the altar's functions), but AS won't bring that top block unless it is touching the rest of the ship. I have yet to test the arcane bore during flight however. I imagine it will work fine if left in the down position, but it will need to have the bore base reset.
Pechs spawn in any biome that is considered "magical". Also you won't be able to use a lead on them as they're considered hostile mobs. A better way to move them would be to bait them by dropping items.
Edit: False alarm, he was inside the village. I now made a pit for Pete (thought of the name when bringing him back). Now that I think about it, I should of called him Pete the Pick Peck. Also, is it possible to get the items with the gold hand back from him? (I spent 10 diamonds on the pick)

If it was a dropped item he picked up there's a chance you could get it back as they sometimes give items in their inventory when you gamble. If you used the pick to gamble with then it's gone for good.
Harvest and chop golems have a much shorter range than most other cores (4 block radius vs 16). The material shouldn't matter though. Did you put a water upgrade on the wood golem, or make him Advanced?
