There is no longer a cap of 12, but there are diminishing returns: The more of one block you use, the less bonus it gives. So you want to mix and match different items to get the most out of it.
So... when you say “one block,” does that mean:
1. All skulls/heads are counted as the same? Like, is there a purpuse to using different heads? Usually I’d put a whole bunch of one type of head under my altar for the symmetry. (In earlier versions.)
Or
2. Putting different heads in a symmetrical pattern will not work.
Or... is ok to use different colored candles? Or will all the candles be counted together, no matter the color?

I haven’t looked at the new entry yet...
I'd like to know that, too.
If candles and heads are all considered the same block, what else can you even use? Does Nitor count again?
Oh wise and studied denizens of the Thaumcraft thread, I have a problem that I hope can either be resolved, or confirmed as a known bug.
I got one use out of the focci manipulator...gizmo. Produced a glorious focci. Sadly, since then it doesn't seem to want to work. I've confirmed I have the required reagents, I've moved it around from chunk to chunk to test different ambient vis conditions, the "craft" button lights up and everything. But upon clicking it, nothing happens.

I was coming here to say the same thing.
It's happening with me too!

I've had the same issue and every time it's happened to me, it always ends up being me not having enough exp. It seems like it always tells you that you only need 1 level of exp, regardless of how much it actually needs and I end up needing to have like 4 or 5 levels on me for it to work.
As I took that picture, I was thinking how odd it was that only 1 XP was required, no matter how complex I made the focci. A bugged UI counter for XP required would totally make sense. I'm going to stack up some XP and see if that does it. Will report back afterwards

That appears to have done the trick. I stacked up some XP levels and the issue was resolved. Seems like the XP requirement counter just isn't updating to reflect that actual cost of the focci. The trick until it's fixed is that you kinda have to trial and error your way to the right number, or just come to the manipulator with a fair bit of xp just to be safe.
Hey, so I'm using the Vis Generator to generate some FE/RF to try to power my ME network, I can power the ME chest without a problem, but the generator just won't connect up to the ME drive or the cables.
Storage is really becoming an issue here and I was hoping this'd be an easy way for me to not need to make some demented farm to power the whole network constantly, any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong with the Vis Generator?
Some friends and I are considering starting up a new server with Thaumcraft 6, however we prefer to wait until it is feature complete. Are there any estimate as to how far the current beta is from being feature complete?
I was curious why i was allowed to chain Foci casting varients together, thinking it was just an oversight, i now know better, and have a arcane mine that explodes into bats, i honestly love the current incarnation of foci crafting, its perfect

Ths mod is stable enough to add, if that’s your concern. It’s difficult to talk to the mod’s author, as he doesn’t say much in the community. So, it’s hard to say wether it is near completion or not. I would add it to your server, though. This mod is a lot of fun and stable enough. I hope this helps. (:
Hey guys just a random question. Anyone else having an issue where stuff in thaumcraft inventories, such as items/crystals on a thaumcraft workbench, or the ink and paper on a research desk keep on disappearing, but when you click on them you can still pick them up? Kind of annoying having to pick up and put down the ink bottle every few minutes while researching just to stop it telling me i have no ink when i do. Lol.
When Thaumcraft 6.1 Beta26 was installed, all five of the Stabilizers around my Infusion Altar are now pointed straight up. I cannot find any tool that will rotate them, and I have tried all kinds of ways to place them, hoping that i could find a way to place them pointing at my altar.

Redstone inlay counts.

Thanks for your post!
Ahh, this makes sense.
Thanks!
I'm going to go try it out myself now.
Also, seems we also located what the exact problem is, that'll be easier for Azanor.

@Sweet_Brew, as has been said, only selected few items accept foreign energy directly.
Charger, ME chest - being between them.
Thanks for the fix!
Ahhh! That's what I was doing wrong!
Guess it was an issue I should have asked at the AE2 area though, thank you so much! <3

Asking questions of this nature is explicitly forbidden by forum rules.

What other mods do you have installed?

How do you aim the Stabilizers?
