If only CodeChickenCore was updated to 1.8.9, you could turn off creeper griefing specifically. I'll report this as an issue at Azanor's Github for you.
Wait, no. You were talking about Vanilla Villagers, not TC5 Farming Golems. My bad!
Yeah chickenbones has been mysteriously absent for quite some time. He may never even update his mods at all. I really miss NEI and its myriad of functions. Back on-topic, love the new features. May just try this out later.

I did some CraftTweaker scripts for Mystical Agriculture. They fill in a couple of small gaps in MA, and also let you make or duplicate not only vanilla plants, but the blocks, plants and wood from Quark and Biomes O'Plenty. Also spawn eggs for most vanilla mobs! The scripts are here on Github.
There's a 1.8.9 version of NEI called JEI (Just Enough Items)
The real question is does JEI have the utilities of NEI such as showing chunk borders and mob spawning? Last I knew JEI didn't have that, and I used those more often then the recipes anyway.

Due to my snarky and sarcastic personality I can easily be seen as a jerk. If I've offended you in any way it was likely unintended.
It has been one month now since I set sail for the mysterious Ocean Monument, and I finally have success to report. The rumors we had learn't of from Testificates in the eastern Villages have born fruit; There are indeed sponges to be found here!
Of course, the complex is guarded by strange bulbous creatures covered in spikes and a giant eye that radiats some kind of infernal energy. Just to have them gaze upon you for a moment and one developes an awful itching burning sensation that quickly becomes intolerable. And it was in the bellies of three most grotesque of these abominations that I found the first three sponges. Using these I set about draining the water from several of the smaller rooms, and chanced upon not one, but two rooms containing an additional 30 sponges each! Joy! When I return we will be rich beyond belief with these most rare of items!
Before I can leave however, I need to exterminate this infestation of Guardians - there seem to be an endless number of them - I have murdered countless of the vile beasts. The only way to deal with them seems to be to drain all the water from inside and around the monument, what would seem to be a mammoth task what with the water can keep flowing back.
However, in a moment of inspiration I used the Builder Wand Focus I had been working on this last winter to place rows of sponges and its ability to place so many sponges so quickly can overwhelm the waters flowing nature and allow me to carve out dry areas quite quickly. Pure Bliss I say.
Once I am done I plan to build a small tank to hold a few remaining specimens for later study :- I have amassed quite a collection of Prismarine Crystals gathered from the corpses of slain Guardian abominations which can be crafted into a fragile, but attractive light source - far superior to Glowstone lamps!
I am certain that the Crystals, along with the Sponges, will allow me to amass a dowry sufficient to petition your father for your hand in marriage upon my return,

I just took the Minecraft Noob test! Check out what I scored. Think you can beat me?!
So i made a forge server for me and a couple of friends and I have a few mods with thaumcraft but their crash reports told me to ask here first.
They crash whenever they equip armor and cant rejoin as long as the armor is on them.
EDIT: As a note i can use armor just fine as the server op, does that have anything to do with it?
Never mind checked their mods they had extra ones the server did not have.

To have some fun, and to mention that, if you are having trouble using sponges to clear water from a large area, the builders focus can place a lot of sponges at once, which, with some diligence, can remove water source blocks that would otherwise keep on regenerating.
I'm hoping you guys can help me figure out what I'm doing wrong. We're finally getting to golems on our world. (My daughter and I play on lan together for a few hours every couple weeks, so we don't progress very fast) I realize any discussion about the new golems would have happened when they were newer but I can't find it using search and reading back a half dozen pages didn't yield anything.
I'm trying to set up a tree farm using seals and golems. I put down a chest, with a provide seal on top, a collect seal on the front, a store seal on the side and a lumberjack seal on the ground in front. I put a couple use seals on the ground a few blocks away, then configured them to check the white list, which has a sapling in it. Then I put three golems: one with breaker and smart, one with deft and smart and a just plain one. The breaker one works fine: he chops down the trees in the defined area with no problem. The dumb golem mostly picks up the drops and puts them in the chest ok. The other one... who should be responding to the use seals, has a problem. He may or may not plant the sapling on the first use seal. Then he stands there sparking and looking lost instead of planting on the second seal.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Could someone more experienced with the new golem mechanics explain use seals and their setup to me? Thanks. Or just show me their Thaumic Tree Farm and how they set their seals and golems. Something.

Yeah, as far as I can tell, JEI has a lot less functionality than NEI.
also azanor please update to 1.9 I don't have anything else to play please free me
I'm sure he's working on it.

Yeah, but JEI lacks many of the functions NEI had, which may just disappear altogether.

So what is your point in posting this?
I play only with the top notch mods only, which instantly excludes orespawn and lucky blocks.

Something.

I hope someday there's more magic in Minecraft, though I know it's not likely to happen. In the meantime, I play modded a lot. I enjoy a lot of other games too, so don't expect me to be on the forums all the time.
