1. The foggy Eldritch pushovers spawn during the day as well.
They don't spawn during the day, but the ones that spawn at night don't despawn in the morning. I'm fairly certain about this because my base in my first TC5 world was right next to an obelisk; every day I could kill the guardian from the prior night and a new one wouldn't spawn until the next night, but if I went out at night and killed the guardian a new one would spawn shortly thereafter.
Maybe a light-level thing, though? I never tried setting up a darkroom around the obelisk.

I've got sort of a feature request.
It would be nice if the Arcane Ear would emit a strong redstone signal to the block that is attached to. It currently emits a weak redstone signal in 6 directions.
It would allow you do something like below to act as a NOT Gate instead of requiring an extra block and redstone dust.

I recall in TC4 I found an obelisk that spawned guardians all the time, day or night. So it's probably just a luck thing. I haven't encountered any obelisks in TC5 that spawn guardians at all yet.
Only crazy people or evil people think such polution can ever be useful! or helpful.... or weaponized....
...THEN it becomes a question of "Unethical Ballance" (making use of the waste biproducts for the sake of progress) or "LIVE FOR THE SWARM" and suddenly become that guy that heros are trying to stop or something.
Honestly thaumcraft is missing only the Super villin part of this whole thing. since it doesnt provide a boss mob that does taint thing why not the players? Would also give another possible downside of having warp. Heros dont like evil wizards that are doing magics from their towers. a random invasion by pesky hero types trying to stop you might be amusing

2) Taint is already a significant resource, to the point where if you don't have a natural patch, you'll eventually need to make one. It's a decent source of Auram and the primary source of Vitium (which is needed for a bunch of things including metal duplication).
3) Heroes object to wizards death-gazing the townsfolk and livestock, not to mention purple crud and new monsters spreading over the hillside.
4) Part of the point of aura flux seems to be that it's never a resource, with the exception of feeding taint as above. It's what you want to avoid and get rid of.

I did some CraftTweaker scripts for Mystical Agriculture. They fill in a couple of small gaps in MA, and also let you make or duplicate not only vanilla plants, but the blocks, plants and wood from Quark and Biomes O'Plenty. Also spawn eggs for most vanilla mobs! The scripts are here on Github.
Are all of the Golem tools/weapons no longer in the game or are they just not available in creative?
Also, anybody good with command blocks? I love the portable hole effect and would like to figure out a way to use it for doors using a red stone signal (not a wand) I thought a command block may be able to do the trick but am clueless as to how to program it or even if it is possible.

For some reason runic shielding does not function correctly on my community's server. The extra hearts show up and the runic shield special effects still function when you are damaged, but the runic shield never takes the damage, it just bypasses it and goes straight to your HP. I've tested it on SP and had no problems, does anyone know what may be the cause? Is this an issue others have in MP servers?

Your server is one of the non vanilla servers. kCauldron, bukkit or something like that?

I suspect what you want is an autocaster. If that isn't redstone-controllable, it should be!
Yes, like an autocaster that functions on a redstone pulse...also one that accepts a Portable Hole focus as the current one does not...anybody willing to try to make one as an addon?
I am not one for adding a ton of addons but this is one I would be willing to make an exception for.

Thaumic Tinkerer's Dynamism Tablet is what you want. Not sure if that's in the 1.8 version yet though, but it's definitely in the 1.7.10 version.
Redstone-capable and can left or right-click.
Autocasters cannt accept redstone however, as they are entities, not blocks. Also it can't accept a Hole focus because they only target mobs.
Yes, I think it applies to player capes. Adding it for npcs and not for players would suck though.
Nice cape physics you've got there, I'm excited to see the finished product I imagine capes/cloaks of invisibility, spell turning, gliding/slow falling etc.
While a cape slot would be cool, they could technically occupy the neck slot, and I think a faceplate/mask slot would be better if I have to choose between the two. I keep dreaming about wearing faceplates/masks with the crimson hood and void thaumaturge's hood, and switching between faceplates without needing to make a separate thaumium fortress helm for each of them
I like to build Thaumcraft themed bases and structures from time to time. Templates can be found here:
AlphaeusXVIII's creations - the templates require the Ruins Mod to work (the screenshots obviously don't) and the README!.txt file is there for a reason. Enjoy now with templates for 1.8.8!

I absolutely love love love the direction you've taken Golems in. It's inspiring to see this kind of out of the box implementation! Can I ask, what is the outside limit on the range you can define with that kind of "command territory"?

2. Wisps are incredibly abundant in the nether, on the overworld they are somewhat rare and seem to spawn from magic forests or auras with some flux.
I am not sure if those from magic forests are not just flux-spawned as well.
I have not seen tainted nodes lately, so not sure if they still spawn wisps. They did in the initial TC5 release, though.

Wisps also spawn when one moves a node with the node magnet. This is the most abundant way to farm them.
I've never seen them directly attack the magnet, but I have seen them hit the magnet when trying to hit me.
