So idk if this is intentional, but nodes seem to act like falling sand or gravel. They can easily be moved via anything that would push falling sand (Primal foci, tnt, sword of zephyr)

He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you.
considering all the incredibly valuable items were carrying around with us at some point, i feel what thaumcraft is missing is a safety net to getting killed in a dungeon, or even worse - somewhere in the nether.
the thought of a primal staff burning up in lava *shudders*
i wonder if it would be a good idea to add something like twilight forests charm of keeping to the rarer thaumcraft loot bags as a potential reward. an item thats consumed upon death but causes us to respawn with (part of) our inventory/armor/baubles.
or just a 1 off gravestone like thaumic tinkerer 1's rune of thanatos. either way, it would make sense if its a very rare item from a rare, or at least uncommon treasure.
The add-on Thaumic Horizons (yes I know it's a bit buggy, but it's still pretty fun) has the Mirrored Amulet. When you die, it sends your inventory to the bound Magic Mirror. And yes, it's one-use.
Great mod, but i have a problem, the text is with texture bug, sombebody can help me? send a mp please

"We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far."
Once you get some, you could make a totem to keep the vitium localized. But the shards are used as a fuel in the totem, and a single one does not last as long as it will take for a natural section of shards to taint. Perhaps something on a really large scale....
You could do all your taint stuff in a separate dimension, like Amoma1997's Dimensional World or a UtilityWorlds dimension.
With MystCraft this would be a no-brainer. Kinda like to see TC5 taint vs. unstable world.
I know he's aware of the issue but until Azanor fixes it (if he decides to) does anyone have any tips for getting Auram? Seriously having trouble getting it. Can't even find any wisps.

if you make a lot of taint, you can force wisps to spawn. just start throwing a bunch of cobble and stuff into a crucible and letting it constantly overflow.
this will almost irreversibly taint the area though/
Hello Guys, I've a problem, I try to install Thaumcraft a twice times, but when forge is workin on build the mod in Minecraft, Minecraft's Window keep white with background music, someone could help me?
I know he's aware of the issue but until Azanor fixes it (if he decides to) does anyone have any tips for getting Auram? Seriously having trouble getting it. Can't even find any wisps.
Wisps spawn naturally in the Nether and in magical forests, and Eldritch Guardians also drop ethereal essences when killed. As far as I know, hunting them in the places where they spawn naturally is the only option that doesn't involve polluting the aura with flux.
I like to build Thaumcraft themed bases and structures from time to time. Templates can be found here:
AlphaeusXVIII's creations - the templates require the Ruins Mod to work (the screenshots obviously don't) and the README!.txt file is there for a reason. Enjoy now with templates for 1.8.8!
BetterFoliage (1.7.10, 1.8, 1.8.8, 1.8.9, 1.9, 1.9.4, 1.10) - Leafier leaves and grassier grass CartLivery (1.6.4, 1.7.x) - Pimp your minecarts
For modders: simpledeobf - get OptiFine in your dev environment
Most developers would not need to ask that question. Are you sure you need it? Meaning: are you a mod or addon developer? If so, which development environment are you using?
In short, you set it up like you would set up any other library.
E: simple solution: put the API source in your source tree. A bit tricker to keep track of version that way, but you can stay on the bleeding edge by pulling from Github.
Re losing your stuff to death (hmm, does despawning stuff release flux?), I broke down a while back and added Cyano's Lootable Bodies. A thaumcraft option would be nice. So would a TC chunk loader.
Regarding the apprentice rings and their tiny discounts: has anyone tried crafting them together? Azanor's said he liked that idea a while back....

I did some CraftTweaker scripts for Mystical Agriculture. They fill in a couple of small gaps in MA, and also let you make or duplicate not only vanilla plants, but the blocks, plants and wood from Quark and Biomes O'Plenty. Also spawn eggs for most vanilla mobs! The scripts are here on Github.
I'm against the idea of stuff being soulbound or leaving a lootable corpse. We've all fallen into the void, lava, whatever and lost our primal staff and it suuuccckkkssss... but that's the risk of dying. There's the mad naked rush back out into the field and hope you can get it before the timer, maybe you make it, maybe you don't (or your friends log in and laugh at you before helping you get your crap). Having your items potentially being lost is part of what makes them so valuable. It forces you to make some decisions when you go into risky areas about do I really need this thing or that thing. I think that's a fair tradeoff for carrying a lot of expensive end-game items. There's no real punishment for dying if your stuff is easily recoverable.
Great mod, but i have a problem, the text is with texture bug, sombebody can help me? send a mp please

So idk if this is intentional, but nodes seem to act like falling sand or gravel. They can easily be moved via anything that would push falling sand (Primal foci, tnt, sword of zephyr)

The add-on Thaumic Horizons (yes I know it's a bit buggy, but it's still pretty fun) has the Mirrored Amulet. When you die, it sends your inventory to the bound Magic Mirror. And yes, it's one-use.

That is a problem with Optifine.

You could do all your taint stuff in a separate dimension, like Amoma1997's Dimensional World or a UtilityWorlds dimension.
With MystCraft this would be a no-brainer. Kinda like to see TC5 taint vs. unstable world.
Having trouble finding (or creating) tainted shards, anyone have any tips?
normal shards in a tainted land will become tainted. just find a tainted node and plant a bunch of crystal around it.
It's much easier to just overflow a crucible and make some taint yourself instead of looking for a specific type of node.
Thaumcraft seems to be quite laggy for me. I can barely go five minuets without the game lagging at least once. Is there any way to reduce the lag?
I know he's aware of the issue but until Azanor fixes it (if he decides to) does anyone have any tips for getting Auram? Seriously having trouble getting it. Can't even find any wisps.
if you make a lot of taint, you can force wisps to spawn. just start throwing a bunch of cobble and stuff into a crucible and letting it constantly overflow.
this will almost irreversibly taint the area though/
New update super.
Wrong Forge version.
I made a D flip-flop!
anyone looking for auram? make a large node (at least 100) and pull it with a node magnet. the node will vomit wisps everywhere.
Wisps spawn naturally in the Nether and in magical forests, and Eldritch Guardians also drop ethereal essences when killed. As far as I know, hunting them in the places where they spawn naturally is the only option that doesn't involve polluting the aura with flux.
Well, this could be a good idea if you already have a node magnet, but it requires 64 auram to craft

how to install the api?
May the Force be with you.
See my answer on the Better Foliage thread.
BetterFoliage (1.7.10, 1.8, 1.8.8, 1.8.9, 1.9, 1.9.4, 1.10) - Leafier leaves and grassier grass
CartLivery (1.6.4, 1.7.x) - Pimp your minecarts
