I like that idea, and it even makes a lot of sense (to me at least)
In TC3 nodes with a certain level of flux could spawn wisps to reduce the flux level in the local aura. Flux could be of any aspect type, so the new wisp would carry 2 points of an aspect in ethereal essences. The major difference between the TC3 mechanic and your idea is that the process is reversible.
Maybe the unstable nodes or nodes in an area with flux would be the ones to spawn wisps, and by doing so they would also draw vis from the local aura of the same type that the wisp will carry. Megawisps could be created by nodes with very high flux levels and would nearly deplete that area of vis, but would return that vis to the aura in the place where they die or despawn. Maybe the magawisps would split into several smaller ones when "killed" which could merge together just like slimes do? The wisps could be attracted by nodes with the same aspect as itself (or similar aspects) and repelled by nodes with the opposite aspect, in addition to following players that attack them.
Void Beast? Really? I have yet to create such a thing. Tell me more.

hey I have searched the forums for an answer and have seen this answered before but none of them seem to work but basically my use golem refuses to place sapling even if I make it place on an empty space, placing a block and marking it then breaking it again, pretty much every combination I can think of, anybody got any ideas of if not a way to fix this another way to plant things using a different magical mod that doesn't take some sort of power source?
So I've finally gotten the Eldritch Revelation, and have killed my first Guardian. He was surprisingly easy.
He dropped a piece of Ethereal Essence that is constantly changing color and presumably aspect. What's up with that?
Wierd glitch solved in 4.2.3.5 or .4. But you can keep it and pretend it's some sort of eldritch artifact that needs to be protected from the dark forces of minecraftia, lest the crimson cult bathe the world forevermore in darkness and suffering. Or something.

Stupid question: is the use golem attached to an inventory? I can't count the times I've accidentally put a golem on the block in front of a chest instead of the side of a chest.

a Thaumium Capped Primal staff is possible with Void Robes and a Void Capped Silverwood Scepter (actually it might even be possible with just the scepter)
unfortunately, even with a void capped silverwood scepter, void robes, and crimson cult boots (the maximum vis storage and discount i could come up with) you are a measly THREE POINTS shy of being able to craft a void capped primal staff.
if anyone can come up with a way to improve the Vis discount just a little bit further, it would be possible
Crimson cult boots? Hmm. Haven't tried that. ...Looks to me like they have the same 1% discount as regular Thaumaturge's Boots.

I did some CraftTweaker scripts for Mystical Agriculture. They fill in a couple of small gaps in MA, and also let you make or duplicate not only vanilla plants, but the blocks, plants and wood from Quark and Biomes O'Plenty. Also spawn eggs for most vanilla mobs! The scripts are here on Github.
is there a tutorial about dealing with that Essentia stuff? i need to separate it into components, the wiki doesnt provide good help with this

For some reason, I cannot break down Rainbow Leaves from Chromaticraft in the Alchemical Furnace, even though it has aspects. Is this supposed to happen? Or is there some way I can facilitate this?

If they have a crapton of aspects, it might be larger than the furnace buffer and therefore not distillable - unless you have an advanced furnace.
They have 6 aspects. At first I thought it was because I did not have enough alembics, so I made sure I had 5. I then tested with a dispenser, which also has 6 aspects, the dispenser works fine, but the rainbow leaves still do not. I can place them into the furnace, but it just does not start. A side note, the same thing happens with bedrock, if I place it in the furnace.
Is there a more powerful furnace available, or could it be that this item is just blacklisted?

For bedrock, probably blacklisted by azanor just to make sure, but if it isn't then it's what I said earlier. Number of different aspects doesn't matter for anything in alchemy. It is the total quantity of essentia in an item that determines its burn speed, and could prevent it from being distillable.
Ah, this would make sense, Rainbow leaves have 10 different aspects with 10 each, so that would make a total of 60 total essentia. Considerably more than dispensers. Would there be any way to facilitate burning this, or is this just a limit of the item?
I've got a room with my essentia jars situated in a floor below my infusion altar. Essentia mirrors are present so that the altar can draw essentia from the jars.
However, since the jars are technically within range, the infusion altar attempts to draw essentia directly from the jars, ignoring the mirror. Technically, this succeeds, and infusion completes. The problem is, the floating essentia gets caught on the floor below on its way to the center of the altar. While this doesn't seem to harm the infusion process, it is ugly. It also makes it harder to gauge if infusion is proceeding correctly without shoving my face up against the altar to see the aspect amounts.
This seems like a bug. In my opinion, the infusion altar should require line of sight to a jar to draw essentia from it.
Probably set the wrong link to Dropbox for the images. Just for your information, there was another perrson having problems some (probabli 50 or so) pages ago. I do not remember if he solved the problem, but you can try to:
Check the configuration file. There's "I:golem_delay=". The number after should be 20 or less, some modpack out there set it to 60, and that can cause problems.
Try to change the type of golem used
If you have railcraft/other mod that adds invisible blocks, make sure that there's nothing of the sort in the places where saplings are going to be placed.
If you are not using vanilla chests, try to change the container to a chest.
Try to change the distance of the sign for planting from the golem.
Check if the color of the simbol you are placing with the golemancer's bell is the right one.
If anything else fails, try creating an instance with only thaumcraft and see if the problem is still there. If it might be an issue between mods you are using.
I don't use a modpack and I checked anyway the decay rate is five
I switched to a straw golem and it didn't work either
it is in range as the golem walks right over to the point
I placed blocks in those places and removed them so I should not have any invisible blocks nor do I know of any of my mods having invisible blocks
the golem is getting the saplings out fine and it didn't work with a vanilla chest either
I am not using an order golem and thus having coloured icons are literally impossible anyway
