I made a similar engine in creative as a test, with a few extra utils cobblegens dropping their entire output into 5 crucibles and some water pipes keeping them topped up.
I also put spikes at the bottom to kill the slimes as they spawned and some extra utils item retrieval nodes to suck up the ooze they dropped.
I did notice some fiberous taint in there at least once, but my intention was to make vitium and percantatio (via flux scrubbers in the chimmny), so I had ethereal blooms around the outside.
Not sure if it was the slimes dying, the ooze drops decaying, or the amount of flux goo. I was dumping easily 1000+ perdo and terra in there every minute or so, per crucible.
The vitium generation rate wasn't great either, and the slimes seem to require player presence to spawn in any great numbers (if at all).
Probably need to get at least some taint in there and drop in animals from a breeding pool
I thought that making around 15-30000 units of essentia turn into goo would be enough, but if you managed to make fibrous taint even when having ethereal blooms surrounding your corruption engine, and having flux scrubbers in the chimney, I guess I just have to try a lot harder. That corruption engine of yours is a LOT bigger than the one I made though. How long did it take before you noticed the fibrous taint?

Was messing around with the node stabilizer... Never gonna again. Why does Azanor Like Explosions so much.
I assume you switched off a stabilizer connected to an energized node? The explanation in the thaumonomicon clearly states that energizing nodes is a very dangerous thing to do, and that any energized node needs to be stabilized... If you already had the research for it, what did you expect? (feeling a sudden urge to be sarcastic... OK, I'll resist this time)
I like to build Thaumcraft themed bases and structures from time to time. Templates can be found here:
AlphaeusXVIII's creations - the templates require the Ruins Mod to work (the screenshots obviously don't) and the README!.txt file is there for a reason. Enjoy now with templates for 1.8.8!
So has anyone here had item grates flinging items (Like when used on infernal furnace/advanced alchemical furnace) and know how to fix it? It's starting to really effect the efficiency of my systems...
Yup -- Adding a hopper over the item grate helped a lot, but it still gets balky sometimes, and if I'm around the items may be handed back to me.

I did some CraftTweaker scripts for Mystical Agriculture. They fill in a couple of small gaps in MA, and also let you make or duplicate not only vanilla plants, but the blocks, plants and wood from Quark and Biomes O'Plenty. Also spawn eggs for most vanilla mobs! The scripts are here on Github.
1. there giant tentacle i saw in creative mode drops a primal pearl, how do i get this guy to spawn???
2. i killed a tonne of crimson knights with a soulstealer bow and i got a teir 5 soulshard but when they spawn they spawn like this and drop absolutely no armor at all, they drop crimson rites, iron swords, the eldritch seed thingies that you use to make the dark ingots in the eldritch tab and knowledge fragments and not a single armor piece at all, why do they spawn like this and how do i get the armored ones to spawn.

Is there a way to disable notifications about champion mobs being slayed? It would be nice to at least disable notifications coming from mob farm, like "XXX was killed by [Minecraft]"

Cofhcore iirc publishes kill messages for named mobs. It is there that you must look.
Wait. I am getting confused by the nomenclature of the thaumcraft worldgen structures.
The obelisks are just the plain, standalone, pillars of obsidian totem with an (obsidian encased) sinister node on the top. If the sinister node block isn't there they do nothing other than decorate the landscape.
Totem: the single pillars with a node-bearing tile at the top (Obsidian Totem is the block).
Altar / henge: the circle of pillars with a chest, wisp spawner and floating node.
Obelisk: the circle of little stones with the floaty thing above them and the node in between, sometimes with guardians or cultists.
The obelisks are actually that big obsidian thing that floats above an eldritch altar, which is inactive right now until their full use is implemented. Anyone have some good seeds for thaumcraft 4(I also have diversity and ancient warfare)?
Those have been implemented, they're the gate to the Outer Lands labyrinth.

You want a farm, you grab a hoe. You want a boat, you grab some wood. You want a fireplace, you grab A FLAMING HELL-BOULDER BECAUSE THAT'S HOW MINECRAFTERS ROLL!!!
Really wanted to share my creepy cool research area with you guys. So proud of it!
Pretty cool, but the table is placed the wrong way, in real word you won't be able to write with the inkwell placed right, it should be placed left.
Anyway what wood is that?

It's so hard to find the right words to say someting if you aren't english, so i could use the wrong word sometimes. I'm sorry.

Actually, you would place the inkwell to your right, otherwise every time you refilled you would need to reach across your workpiece (assuming you're right-handed). Check the illustration of the Wikipedia page for "quill". However, it should be placed at the back of the table, so it's actually impossible to orient a Thaumcraft research desk with the inkwell in the correct place for a right-handed writer.

Love the new lootbags, really cool stuff, but is there any chance of adding a config to make them only drop from the TC dungeon mobs?
Disable champion mobs in the config then. It's under the mob spawning section.
Quote from LaniReaperjumpHi guys: I'm sorry I've had to resort to this, but I can't figure out what's up.
I just unlocked the Eldritch tab for the first time (eee). I'm totally psyched to get started with it, but... I can't seem to make Void Seeds? I've got the right essentia set up, but it just doesn't seem to recognise the recipe?
I've tried with both an old-fashioned cauldron and a newfangled auto-alchemy-whatchamacallit. I'm using the latest version as of today (4.2.3.3).
I'm on 1.7.10 (ofc) with Forge 10.13.2.1277.
My (fairly tame) modlist:
DamageIndicators (3.2.0)
Bibliocraft (1.9.2)
Buildcraft (6.2.6)
Butterly Mania (1.2.1)
Carpenter's Blocks (3.3.4.2)
CodeChickenCore (1.0.4.29)
CoFHCore (3.0 B9)
Enchiridon (1.2b)
Ender Storage (1.4.5.27)
GrowthCraft (all modules, 2.1)
Inventory Tweaks (1.58)
Jabba (1.2.0a)
JourneyMap (FairPlay ed, 5.0.1)
Mantle (0.3.2)
Mariculture (1.2.4b)
NotEnoughItems (1.0.3.74)
OpenBlocks (1.3)
Optifine (HD_B4)
Roguelike Dungeons (1.3.5)
Tinker's Construct (1.8.2a)
Thermal Expansion (4.0 B8)
Thermal Foundation (1.0 RC1)
Twilight Forest (2.3.2)
And some screenshots, in case there's something dumb wrong with my setup. I don't think that's the case, since I can create other things just fine (Screenie of me successfully making some Thaumium as an example.
Please help! I want to delve into forbidden eldritch mysteries! =)
Are you using vanilla seeds? I can't tell cause of the texture pack.
Where do you find these champion mobs I keep hearing about? They sound really cool!
They spawn among the night-monsters, and (last I heard) from dungeon spawners too. I use Journeymap, which helps spot them nearby (their names show on my minimap). However, their arrival is very random -- some nights, there's 3 or 4 different champions running around my base at once, other nights there's not a one to be found. (Hmm, I should start checking the moon phase.) If not engaged, they despawn like their base types.

Fill golems can manage that task without flaws.

They just appear.
They are semi-common.
They are pretty weak.
Buff them Azanor.
