So what's the point of essentia crystallization? I'm personally not seeing any practical use for it. Phials of essentia store 8 while a crystal only holds 1. If you're going to store essentia in item form then wouldn't phials be the best way to go about doing that?
Also remember the mods that add things like item barrels, saves a lot of room and glass to be able to shove 4084 essentia crystals into a Factorization barrel and be able to withdraw it from said barrel by the stack.

The most obvious use-case is dealing with trashheaps, in particular enchanted mob loot, and other items with excessively assorted aspects. (For example, consider the pile of bows and rods you get from running a fishing golem.) I tried using it on a pile of cake, but was foiled by the (unpowered) speed.
In either case, you convert lots of little aspects that would barely be worth jarring (and which outnumber your alembics), into stacks in a chest that automatically sort themselves into piles. Then you can distill piles at your leisure.
I did some CraftTweaker scripts for Mystical Agriculture. They fill in a couple of small gaps in MA, and also let you make or duplicate not only vanilla plants, but the blocks, plants and wood from Quark and Biomes O'Plenty. Also spawn eggs for most vanilla mobs! The scripts are here on Github.
What it can be, I cant craft in Infusion Altair.
For ex. "silverwood wand": Put shards on around pedestals and silverwood log in central, jars with many types of essentia located close. I use wand on Matrix, see all needed kinds af aspects on them. It start "suck" aspects from jars, infinite, with flux generation, thunder and destroing shards on pedestals.

I try do this 3 times, and got same result.
That's instability. You fix it by surrounding your altar with a symmetrical array of candles, crystals and mob heads. A solid layer of candles under the floor of your altar works well.

You want a farm, you grab a hoe. You want a boat, you grab some wood. You want a fireplace, you grab A FLAMING HELL-BOULDER BECAUSE THAT'S HOW MINECRAFTERS ROLL!!!

i have 4 of those crystallizers hooked up to alembics on top of a furnace, feeding into hoppers, ultimatively feeding into a chest.
im using it as a garbage can, and to separate aspects from items for clean crucible crafting. you dont always need multiples of 8 to craft.
I don't know if there's a bug page but since is the only page I'm aware of, I'd like to find some help maybe.
I'm able to use Thaumcraft for 1.7.2 and 1.7.10 in singleplayer, but no matter what version of the mod I use for my multiplayer server, I'll get this recurring error message that spams my console for a few minutes before crashing it. It says something like
ERROR: Could not save research file for xxxxx
Is there any fix for this? Please let me know ASAP, I want to play this mod with friends soon.
Question is the biome_taint_spread config option bugged in the current version? I set it to one and its spreading like normal. I want it to spread like mad! >;3

My first thought was "oh, the expense!"... but then I realized things have gotten cheaper! It's not just the pipes... I only just discovered that vis filters (which i hereby typodub "vilters" ) now come 2 to a recipe, and that was a big chunk of the gold cost for most of the distilling equipment!
But anyway, running them in parallel is the way to go. My casual test suggests the unpowered crystallizer makes one crystal every 50 seconds or so. That means one 32-point "batch" (the furnace buffer through one pipe, or one full alembic) takes 1600 seconds, or most of 27 minutes. The more crystallizers you have running, the more you can process in that time, up to a "perfect" batch that fills 5 alembics, 160 points. Even running on coal, the furnace buffer can provide points faster than the crystallizer takes them.) Indeed, after starting it with a piece of coal or even alumentum, I'd leave it stocked with sticks or saplings to keep it running with individual items after the coal runs out.
Buffers (with bellows) can also be handy for adding more storage, which may allow turning over alembics more quickly.

Hi i have a problem, i need help for the infusion enchanting i did't see in the thaumonomicon.
You need to unlock the "Brain in a Jar" one first, just scan an Angry/Furious/Rage/Crazy Zombie (i forget the name, the zombie that spawns near a sinister node)

I'm Brazilian, plox don't bully me because of my english D:
I always wondered, if we're able to separate essentia of one aspect into the aspects it's composed of, would it be plausible to be able to do it in reverse? Combining two types of essentia into one.
This question led me to come up with an idea that's probably pretty stupid and likely been said before, but I want to get it out there.
Alchemical Fusion
Putting things together.
Prerequisite research: Alchemical Centrifuge
Allows the player to fuse two types of essentia together if their aspects combine to create a new one. Connect two filled jars to the fuser with pipes on the top and place a jar on the bottom. The fuser will then drain from the two jars on the top and fill the bottom one with the aspect they combined to create if the jar is empty, labelled with the aspect, or already contains essentia of the aspect.
However, one should be wary of attempting to mix essentia that don't combine to create an aspect and/or essentia overflow. The fuser would drain essentia from the two jars until both are empty. If it drains more essentia than it and the bottom jar can hold, you'll end up with an overflow, leading to stuff like flux gas and goo appearing around the device. This could be prevented though the use of valves/void jars. Mixing incompatible types of essentia will lead to a nice purple mess as well... and a decent sized crater if you attempted to fuse especially volatile essentia types.

So... is this idea any good at all?
Combining essentia together would be ridiculously overpowered and would break the game. Some aspects are deliberately hard to get (like auram) to promote exploration, or make endgame stuff endgame. If you had a system like this, you could essentially (pun not intended) make gold from crafting tables, or any other thing you wanted really... All you need is primals, and you're set. Yeah, it might be cool, but it's basically a game-breaking cobble-to-diamonds mechanic.
This has been talked about several times, and Azanor has purposely avoided it... However, that doesn't mean that it's completely out of the question. If there's a way to make the mechanic fair, have lots of drawbacks, etc. Then maybe. But until the cobble-to-diamond mechanic is brought to diamond-to-diamond, it's not gonna happen.
There is a very good reason why Azanor has never added something like this and stated that he never will: It would make rare essentia no longer rare. Considering that, from a nether wart farm alone, you can get every primal easily. With combining, you would then have every single aspect from one little farm. Ruins the point of some essentia, like aurum and sano, being hard to get. Besides, these days we have mana beans to get essentia.

Question not the mad-mans ways, for you may begin to see logic in his actions, then find yourself mad as well.
You may call me The Madman, as there is no name that suits me better.

Does anyone know how to speed up the Essentia Crystallizer? It says you need to feed it Terra vis. I placed a jar nearby but it doesn't seem to use it (not sure if this is still possible).

Do you need to feed it CV instead?
I am using 4.2.1.3 btw.
Yes, you need to use CV. If it asks for essentia, you need a jar. If it asks for vis, you'll need a wand or CV(Depends on the context).

Automated alchemy machine solves this too.
