I need a little help, I might be doing things in an outdated way
I had the Eldritch Epiphany with the book but now I can't unlock the revelation. I unlocked all the researches under the Epiphany and gained max warp with an old trick:
the eating zombie brains trick (to take temporary warp instead of normal one).
I maintained the level above the second mark on the sanity checker for a while... I even had a couple of warp events in the meantime but no revelations. So either I'm doing something wrong or I'm just unlucky as usual... just wanted to be sure it wasn't the first one.
yes when I said: "I had the Eldritch Epiphany with the book" the book I was speaking about is the item Crimson Rites which I assume is the bible you are referring to...
Temporary warp doesn't usually work, you need sticky warp and then wait until you have a warp event.
Lies. I always get my revelation by eating brains - after crafting all the warped things - so my warp meter is about 1/3 permanent, and 1/3 temporary. The reason its hard is you need to keep the warp meter maxed for quite a while to get it, and temporary warp is actually very temporary.
Well I'll try once more with the brains as soon as I gather another stack and if it doesn't work I'll just go for the bothersome way thanks for the help
For generic understanding, you may consider revelation a part of warp effects pool.
Like, "set = [death gaze, flu, thaumorrhea, revelation, blindness]". You get one every so often, as long as your warp is active at certain level.

I usually end up using 2 stacks of brains. One stack to get me to full warp, a 2nd consumed to keep me there. It does seem that you can get more than 100% warp, so you can just keep eating, and the warp meter stays maxed longer.
More golem findings, I'd like to know if this is intended behavior (because it feels accidental).
I set up an automated tree farm with a single lumberjack and a single collector/planter golem for my saplings, who also stores wood and extra saplings in a chest nearby. The Use seal is set to whitelist to the sapling I want planted.
First bit if strange behavior is, the golem doesn't seem to "check" that the intended sapling is already in place, at all. It just tries, and tries, and tries to plant another (same) sapling it's holding instead of realizing "Oh hey, I already did my job!" And after a while it gives up I guess, as I've seen the golem empty-handed later on.
First question would be, do I need something else to stop it from trying to plant in that same spot when it's already done just that?
Second strange behavior: I then set up 2 more Use seals with the same sapling in the whitelist, within the planter golem's home area. It completely ignores these other seals and keeps trying, forever, to plant a sapling where the first one has already been planted
I guess I need to use 2 more different-colored golems for this, but... is that intentional?
How to deal with ignorance (in life, and on forums): The Zen way... Stay cool and polite, treat people as you wish to be treated, rise above your impatience. Everyone is ignorant of something at any point in their lives, including you.
The problem is that you're telling the golem to right click the sapling on the ground. Which it's doing, but it doesn't DO anything. You need to tell the seal to act on the space where the sapling is, not the ground beneath it. If I'm not completly mistaken, you can tell it to do it when there's empty space only.
Thanks Vdrake, that worked perfectly Would not have thought of putting the seal above the location, taught me something about block properties.

While setting up a simple golem-based refueling system for my essentia smeltery, I ran into a bit of an issue. I had decided to forego the Alumentum fuel in favor of lava buckets, now that we can create them from scratch in a crucible. The idea is, a golem takes any lava buckets from the auto-crucible's output chest and loads them into the smeltery, and takes any empty buckets from the smeltery and loads them into the auto-crucible to be refilled. This is accomplished with 2 Advanced Empty and 2 Advanced Store seals. The issue presents itself when the golem attempts to grab an empty bucket from the smeltery. Since a bucket is present in the smeltery, the seal is triggered, but the golem just repeatedly performs the interact hand gesture without ever being able to grab it. I investigated it more and figured out that only the smeltery's bottom face will allow a golem to access the fuel slot, which makes no sense for a block with only two internal slots. I would like to request that more ways to access the fuel slot be added to the smelteries, or better yet, an option to select what slot you want the golems to interact with be added to the relevant advanced control seals.
Can anyone venture a guess/answer... Do magic mirrors act as chunk loaders, or they use a different mechanism to "remember" items in transit? I want to be sure the storing golems at the other end will have something to store.
Also, BoP ashes aren't being shoveled in a 3x3 grid with the Shovel of the Earthmover like I would expect. I imagine that's something to report on BoP's side (just want to make sure first)?

Lazermaniac: This behavior is inherited from TC4. Try putting the seal on the bottom.
Gethebluesky: they are not chunk loaders. Items are queued, and on load they are emitted according to various rate limiters.

I did some CraftTweaker scripts for Mystical Agriculture. They fill in a couple of small gaps in MA, and also let you make or duplicate not only vanilla plants, but the blocks, plants and wood from Quark and Biomes O'Plenty. Also spawn eggs for most vanilla mobs! The scripts are here on Github.
Like curiosity related with the fictional material "thaumium":
In the past, an alloy of antimmonium and copper (a weak special bronze) was used like alchemy material in many "experiments" of 16-17 century , and suspiciously it has a purple colour (like thaumium).
Show me a page on it, as well as pics. I need to see this alloy. Maybe someday I'll buy a few bars of it, and make a thaumium sword of my very own.

I just took the Minecraft Noob test! Check out what I scored. Think you can beat me?!
You did read the bible, didn't you?
I made a D flip-flop!

I'm in, that's a cool idea 😉
is there a way to disable enchantments in thaumcraft 4?
Temporary warp doesn't usually work, you need sticky warp and then wait until you have a warp event.
that was my fear... it's bothersome having to craft things that generates warp just to that end and then have to craft all that soap to get rid of it
You can still
Use the brains, they give sticky and temp warp.

@azanor, could you give us a little hint as to what's coming up in the 1.9 update?

Don't click this link, HE is haunting it...
I believe he was talking about the second thing on this http://webapp1.dlib.indiana.edu/newton/reference/chemProd.do list. Also, for the record, there is no such thing as antimmonium, it's called antimony.
