i just looked at this and am going to try it on my server thank you. one thing can you do a video on how to get other coins not just gold? i can not seem to do it
I'm sorry it has taken a while for me to respond, but if you're still having trouble:
I can't really make a video right now (I just got a new computer and don't have all the software I would normally use set up yet), but I can try to tell you how you'd do it. Since I don't know how much experience you have with configuring mods I'm going to try to explain everything in as much detail as I can bear.
You're going to need to edit the mods configuration file (if it's a server both the clients and server will need the edits). The file is called "MakersMark.cfg" On windows the file is typically located in: %appdata%\.minecraft\config\
And on Mac OS X:
~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/config/
(I'm not sure but most Linux distributions probably uses something like: ~/.minecraft/config/)
Just type the address in Windows Explorer's address bar (or press Command-Shift-G in Finder, for OS X).
Once you find the file you'll have to edit it with some text editor, right click MakersMark.cfg and pick open with, and find your favorite text editor. Once it's open you'll have to edit the entries under "allowed coin metals". For some reason I didn't allow any custom metals so you can only enable metals in that list. To enable a metal change the false at the end of each line to true (ex: "B:allowCopper=false" to "B:allowCopper=true"). While you are editing this file you can add nuggets for metals that don't have nuggets provided by other mods too. (check the "additional nugget metals" section).
Once you've edited the configuration file make sure the server has a copy (at (server root)/config/) and also that all clients have a copy.

I hope this helps, and good luck!
Hello sir, thank you for this i know can add coins!!!!! this helped a LOT i am rather new at configuring stuff so thank you. maybe you shod add how to do that in the mod description? it would help people like me who are not use to configuring things ~GedweyGarm
As of right now, no. It's not possible for the mod to be configured to have more coins. It's a serious consideration for when I update the mod for MineCraft 1.7 though. The future version will have a large number of patterns to start and/or allow the number of coins to change based on some sort of settings, I don't have it all worked out yet.
Sorry this feature isn't present yet, but thanks for your interest in the mod!

No problem ^.=.^ and thanks for letting me know. Definitely looking forward to it!
Brilliant mod! I hope to see some future development! Truly original. This should be on every server!
Wait, so you can put the mark on anything!? Because that would just be amazing. Imagine having a sword making business on a server, but every sword you sell has your mark on it! That, and a mod that makes crafting weapons more difficult, and makes it require real-life skill, and in-game skills/attributes. Then, you have the ultimate economy and business for any server!

I'm working on updating it a bit, but it's going to be a lot larger when it comes out for 1.7, so it'll take some time (the currency will remain isolated from all gameplay to insure the integrate of server made economies).
And yes, you can make nearly anything, the idea behind it was just what you had. I probably won't make a mod that does unique tools, but I'd love to see someone make one. Maybe the players can use experience to learn new crafting skills used to make better tools. As of right now I think it works best with Tinkers' Construct, but it's abstract enough to potentially work with anything.
Excellent mod that naturally solves so many issues in attempting to create a functioning minecraft economy, now it is possible to not only have irreplicatable currency's, but even allow for proper competitive currency valuing, allowing for a very realistic and free market like approach, very well done, one of my favorite mods now and a must have on any server.
Just a small question, when i play the vanilla texture the coin appears as it's meant to be, but when i try to run another recource pack, all the coins are just purple, is there any way to fix this?
P.S. Amazing mod, looks incredible and quaint essential to any MMO style modpack and/or server.
Edit: Just a texture glitch or something likewise, no help needed, keep up the good work

Hmmm... I updated the mod and it might be fixed now. If not you might be able to fix it by changing the resource pack to vanilla and back from within the game's options menu (not on the main menu). If you're still having issues let me know the resource pack you're using so I can test it out.
Wow, such a simple concept and a great utility!... oh, no 1.7? well... uh... bye then.
Minecraft 1.7.10 was a very requested feature... so I ported my 1.0 version to 1.7.10. Porting Version 2.0 back would be a lot of work (by the time I was done a lot of mods would probably be updated to 1.8 ^_^). Keep in mind version 1.0 was made in a single week and lacks a lot of features the 2.0 version has. You can find the download link for Version 1.0 http://hitchh1k3rsguide.com/makersmark

The Maker's Mark only has one pattern, but the Coin Dies can be changed by crafting the die with a Minter's Mallet.

Soon... but it will be for 1.8 (the wait should be worth it though)!
That looks awesome! Once again thank you for the only currency mod out their that makes sense!
Maker's Mark 2.0 is out, now compatible with Minecraft 1.8!
