Again, I just wanted to bring it up, the world I play in has plot claims and expansions, torchaid conflicts with the process, a toggle button say button "L" for example would be great for turning it on and off...

I have a small suggestion/feature request for Zyin's HUD, an upgrade to the Compass Module! In particular I'm thinking about it displaying pitch/degrees and yaw (if enabled in the options). This particular feature would be quite useful for me (in 1.7.10), but of course, you are busy I am sure! And this is just a lowly suggestion, so I would understand if this wouldn't get implemented either at all or for 1.7.10.
Oh! Another suggestion (also partly a bug), an option in the config to tell Zyin's HUD what some mod tools are. This comes to mind because the durability of Flint and Steel isn't displayed (neither are Natura's Flint and Blaze, BoP scythes and a few other non-conforming tools).
Regardless of those, I've been using Zyin's HUD since 1.6.4, and it's been a godsend for monitoring my server (and survival!).
Oh. I updated to the most recent version to find out whether the Flint and Steel durability module was a bug in the latest version (it is if you haven't read my other post), and I'm finding the change to the distance measurer rather.. difficult. The way it now sits in the middle of the screen, over your crosshairs is distracting, annoying, and obscures your screen (the complex/detailed distance measurer mode obscures visison a lot). Could we have an option to move it back to the info line?
First I'd like to say this mod is absolute awesomesauce. It is my one main reason for running any mods at all (this and inventorytweaks are typically the only two mods I run).
I do have two (I think) minor suggestion that could make the mod even better.
1. In Coordinates could you add a Mode:[x,z,y in cx,cz,cy] mode? This would eliminate me from ever going to F3
2. In overlay mode add a few modes 'safe' which you already have. but also 'chunk' which would put say a blue x on top of the 0cx,0cz blocks within range of the overlay, and possibly say a blue circle on top of and blocks that work out to be spawn chunks?
I'm pretty sure all that is doable on the client side, and it'd make the overlay very useful in large construction projects.

...
The reason Flint and Steel is not shown in Durability Info is because showing that information does not serve a purpose. The reason things like tools and armor show up is because you can take them off before they break to repair them and save whatever enchants they may have. This is irrelevant to Flint and Steel because they cannot be repaired or enchanted (and yes, I know they can be enchanted with Unbreaking but no sane person ever does that).
It's not as simple as supplying a list of tool names to add to a white list to be displayed. This is because some modded tools do not extend the ItemTool or ItemArmor classes from Minecraft and may use custom code to determine their durability. Some mods, such as Tinkers' Construct, are supported because I have a special case for them due to their code being open source. If you know of other items with open source code that you want added then let met know.

...
1. Sounds simple enough. I'll add it in v.1.4.2+.
2. There are multiple reasons why I won't add this functionality:
The chunk coordinates improvement you suggested above will already provide the functionality of showing where chunks start.
I haven't looked at it, but I'm pretty sure the spawn chunks are information that only the server has.
Even if I did add this functionality it would be added as a new mod. The Safe Overlay is meant for showing SAFE areas, not chunks.
This feature of visualizing where chunks begin is already available in NEI.
I'm running 80+ mods and am in the very early stages of troubleshooting this build, so I don't know what all might be messing with yours, but I got this crash (also, forum code apparently doesn't like spoilers today):

My YouTube channel is currently on hiatus, but I hope to get back to it at some point. Content is fairly random, but can be enjoyable, and is mostly game footage (mostly random Minecraft clips) from my nephews and me. Most popular MC vid so far is the one Vechs laughed at on Twitter!
Version Checker support (it was improperly configured in the previous version)
The settings GUI will now remember which section was displayed after exiting the GUI
Animal Info
-Works with Rabbits
Coordinates
-Added an option to display your coordinates within a chunk
Eating Aid
-Improved poisonous and raw food detection for modded foods
Player Locator
-Made the Wither Skeleton display more transparent and removed their heart display
Torch Aid
-Fixed a rare crash
Dunno if anyone has reported this but the torch aid, rarely but it does happen, where when I go to place the torch it replaces the tool too, maybe a conflict with inventory tweaks or a standalone problem?
This is pretty awesome. I first got it for the horse stats but then I noticed it has way more than I expected that I would use. I was super surprised on how well it worked on servers, may have to do with me being op ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Besides that I use it for everything as it has everything. This is pretty awesome. I am running this on a 1.8 client with Forge, Optifine, Armor Status (not to big of a fan of the layout of your armor stats), InvTweaks, and VoxelMap. This is a pretty sweet setup. Thank you so much for spending time and effort into making this piece of art.
Fixed an x-ray rendering issue with Optifine
Durability Info
-Added an option to hide the durability text
-Added a sound and notification message when an item is forcefully unequipped before it breaks
Weapon Swapper
-Will now move weapons from your inventory onto your hotbar if there are no weapons on your hotbar
It would be really nice if the distance measurer gave the euclidian distance (sqrt((Δx*Δx)+(Δy*Δy)+(Δz*Δz))) to the block under the crosshair instead of the length of the longest axis. If the latter is somehow useful, perhaps adding the above as a third mode for that feature.
This mod deserves a lot more attention. This is by far the most useful mod I have ever used, bravo. Now, I think just about everything in this mod fits my needs, except for one small cosmetic detail. The font. The font for the mod is pretty *ahem* ugly... No offense, but is there any way you could improve the font? It would make a nice addition to the mod, especially for people who use the mod for youtube videos. Perhaps add a "font" folder in the .jar? We could then replace this folder with whatever font we want? I highly recommend adding something like this, just an idea though.
Hi Zyin, I really like your mod and I have a suggestion/request for a future version: being able to freely set the frequency for the health monitor sound (frequency value ranging from 1 to 15 sec for example).
Thanks in advance if this is an improvement you can implement

This is how the Distance Measurer was originally implemented but it was changed because there is no practical use for the euclidean distance. Instead it uses the longest axis because that is what people want to know when building things: "how many blocks away is that wall?", "how long should I make this?". I simply don't see any practical use for knowing that a block on the diagonal is 22.73 blocks away from me.

It uses the same font that Minecraft uses. Because of that, you can use a resource pack and include your own font. I personally recommend using a 32x font.

Wow, thank you for the lightning-fast response! I will try this, see if it works. Have a good day
