Can you kindly improve the inventory and renderised 3D backpack texture? Kinda artstyle breaking, since it's a solid color.
Also make the backpack equippable with baubles (body slot) or chestplate.
Loving this mod and it's features
No, I'm not an artist. Feel free to make your own texture pack though.
Adding baubles compatibility doesn't seem worth the effort, if more people request it I may consider it.
I don't understand why this mod isn't more frequently featured in popular modpacks. I've been using it for a while now, and in comparison to the storage/inventory mods I usually see featured, this system is just oodles better. The filter system is aces, the expansion system is aces (and balanced IMO). Perhaps it's too OP (you can carry everything you could ever need with you at all times) or resource intensive or something. I love it!
The recipe modifier hasn't worked form me since 1.11 - the R key doesn't get me there. But it's not a deal breaker for me.
It's probably a PR thing. More people need to make videos
I always look for this mod instead of any other storage mods when I update, but I am not a good PR person

I've installed the mod, and everything seems to be working great except the only time players can use the /backpack and /backpack bind command on the server is if they are given OP status. What am I missing?

My bad, I thought setting the commands permission level to 0 would mean anyone could use it but it seems that's not the case.
I think I've fixed the problem, you can get the update for 1.12.2 here, if you need it for a different Minecraft version let me know.
I use Harvestcraft, Lycanites Mobs and BoP, which add quite a few food items altogether. Was trying to configure the backpack interface to autocollect all food-type items (there are over a hundred...) so I first put in the vanilla foodstuffs, no problem. Then I selected all of the Harvestcraft food items. Upon clicking "Add" the client kicked me off with the following:

Is it possible to rename a backpack somehow? Point would be to hover over it in your inventory and see something more useful to me than "Purple backpack". Not sure how to do this if already possible, thanks.

Edit: Nevermindddddddd I forgot that once upon a time before Curseforge was widely adopted, all useful info was in.. the initial post. For anyone wondering:
To rename a backpack, put a sign inside the backpack and right click on the sign. This will not cost experience, but it will destroy the sign.
I shall now go take a walk of shame before renaming all of my packs

It's not the end of the world and it does the job well otherwise. I can survive a few quirks. I mean, why are you here if you dislike it that much, which mod are you using instead that auto-picks up everything based on a filter

NEI picks stuff all right. And there's a number of backpack mods capable of sucking chosen items from inventory on pickup.
Just, again, most of them overengineered. And Iron Backpacks (the only one that is RELATIVELY simple) lacking easy distinction of multiple backpacks in inventory.

So, IronBackpacks is out for me because of this.
Selim's Backpacks turns chestplates into backpacks, but the size upgrade is limited to 9 slots, and it has Ender Storage as a dependency. I'm not interested in single-mod dependencies where I can avoid them (trying to get a slim modlist working on an old laptop), so for both reasons, that one's out.
"Good Old Backpacks" doesn't say anything about item vacuuming, so it's out.
Useful Backpacks has predetermined sizes... I like upgrading on the go. So it's out.
Most of the other backpack mods are kinda newish and the other half of those haven't updated to 1.12.2...
Soooo again. Which one do you use?

Okay so why keep complaining on this topic if you don't even use this mod. No point. People use it and want something that's updated for the version they use as well. This one works pretty damn well for 1.12.

It is over-engineered and visually… let's say, not very good.
Plus lack of baubles support…

Whenever i try to access the backpack i just get "oops looks like you tried to access a backpack that's not really there" I'm at a loss..

I can't name it "well" when I'm unable to use inventory when this mod's backpack happens to be selected when I open the inventory screen.
