Would need to know what other mods you are using, what version you are running and if you've ever had any crashes with errors.

It's definitely something to do with disguises and not directly ProtocolLib. It's a damned shame.
can you upload your own skins?
Again, a known issue with 1.7.10..
Support for 1.7.10 has stopped, and perhaps in 1.8 this can be resolved.
I do not recall what causes this issue, but it is not any known mods that I am aware of. A client with only MPM and the required forge to run it also experiences the same issues in 1.7.10 versions.
I believe, but I am not sure, so don't quote me on this... This had/has something to do with the way skins are loaded in 1.7.10 MPM, and as I said may very well be fixed in 1.8 (release not beta) as skins will be checked by UUID by then (hopefully).
On the upside, the skin issue is only for your client, other players still see your designated skin as they should. If I recall properly anyway...
You can use the Skin URL to use skins that way, but uploading your own skins into MPM mod directly is not possible, no.

Hey, I was trying to download the 1.8 beta but I think the link is broken? If you were just updating it or something please disregard.
Thanks!
Hey,is optifine, NEI, and Shaders compatible?
Hi, I have a problem with my skin whenever I load a different world. Like when I log on and go to one of my worlds, it works fine, but if I go into a different world, the legs of my skin disappear, and I haven't removed them.
I've actually been using this mod with another skin and it's always worked fine, but now that I've changed to this one (just yesterday, actually), this glitch occurs annoyingly often. I don't think it's mod incompatibility, as I've said that my legs don't disappear while I was using another skin. Thanks.
Did you change to use the "alex" skin model instead of steve? If that's the case, that may be the problem
Click Please!
Viva Argentina!
Don't think so. My previous skin also used the Alex skin model. I'll actually change it to Steve since I'm minimizing the arms anyway, and see if that works.
EDIT: Nope. Still disappearing legs.
Is there any dev build coming out for 1.8 again? still having crashy issues with Disguises and NPCs (Citizens/LibDisguise plugins)
There shouldn't be any issues with Citizens, they don't interact together in any way.
With Disguises though, I am not sure that these will ever be compatible, outside of fixing the PLUGIN half that sends the data from player to player (That is where the problem is). I am not sure that there is a fix for this, outside of perhaps finding a way to allow the data sent from a Disguise plugin to take priority, which at best, may just result in having to remove MPM from the server itself and allowing Disguises it's own methods of sending data without interference.

I'm having issues with my MPM not displaying other player's scaling on the server I play on. I have no other mods installed but Optifine and I have tried removing it and still the problem persists. I have a feeling it is my client because I have spoke with others and the do not view the same problem. If anyone has some options that may help me, I'd appreciate it.
EDIT: Upon further investigation it isn't just viewing other's scaling, my scaling edits as well are unchanged.
Whats the key to open the 1.6.4 customization screen? I keep pressing F12 but nothing opens.
EDIT: nevermind, I figured it out
Make sure you are running the same version of MPM as the rest of the players. Sometimes if you are running a different version than everyone else the data won't send properly over the server to the other players.
If you are able to see other edits such as the adding and removing of the other model additions to other players ingame, then we can rule out that the server does infact have the plugin/mod installed to itself; but it can also be a conflict with the mod and plugin not quite matching up too? Although I could think that this would be rather impossible on a Bukkit based server, as the Plugin is rather flexible in it's data sending. A modded server however, I'd imagine you'd have to be sure to have the same version there just as you would the other players.

Things I will note for the [current] 1.8 beta to be sure they're known;
- width scaling for the horse, mermaid and digitigrade legs are off-set to the left side when scaled down, shifts to right when scaled up
- height scaling for the spider legs end up with the positions inversed, min scale results in connection to mid-body, max scale results in both parts very separated (ie; body levetates about twice the height in the air)
- tail width is very thin when scaled down, height is also a little rich when scaled up, height also suffers the same bug as the spider legs when the legs are set to normal or none, default value is likely incorrect.
- wings are missing the alpha channel, possibly just alpha testing not being enabled during render.
Suggestions;
- deleting a configuration should prompt the user if they're sure, I ended up accidentally deleting mine generally due to not paying attention, but that's why the general rule of prompting the user before deletion etc exists in software design.
- tails, wings, horns, ears?, could get their own scales, I know that'll require a fair amount of GUI work but the tail will probably get the most out of it.
Oh my, it's been a while. Went ahead and tried the latest 1.8 beta. Here's what I was able to find:
-Optifine still prevents most of the mod from being of any use. Scaling, body parts, back tools are still disabled with Optifine.
-Chat bubbles work, but not as intended. Instead, the chat bubbles appear over your character when near the player who's speaking in chat. (screenshot provided below)
-Changing your model into other entities still doesn't work as it should. Your model hovers over the air, and the view changes as normal.
(screenshot provided below)
-Animations seem to work, for the most part, save for the crawling animation. It gets placed vertically, so it looks like you're climbing an invisible ladder as opposed to crawling on the floor.
(screenshot provided below)
-NPCs on multiplayer servers will crash the game. Crash log will be provided below.
Hope this helps! Sorry if anything posted here has already been brought up with the 1.8 beta.

The most recent beta version seems to be working well, for me at least.
Is there a possibility of compatibility with Optifine reaching 1.8? If one tries to use both with Forge, Optifine would previously prevent one to run the game, but now it just prevents parts from showing, though Scale works just fine.
