I'm looking for advice/ideas for mod compatibility. The mod in question in Realistic Fluids Overhaul / Realistic Fluids Fork.
The issue is hydro engines. They want a solid column of water with non-zero (vanilla falling/flowing blocks) metadata, and one block of zero (vanilla source) at the top.
For the RFF fork, I am trying to permit a pump to send water up a pipe, and fall down onto the hydros. But I can either manage a solid column of zero's, or a solid column of "falling" -- I haven't been able to figure out a way to get the top block marked as a source and the rest as non-source
An early failure example can be seen here:
I'm looking for suggestions: What can I do to flowing water to make it compatible with RoC hydros?
(In regard to a mod that gives realistic animal genetics):
Would you really rather have bees that make diamonds and oil with magical genetic blocks?
... did I really ask that?

Fluid technical issues notwithstanding, your setup is something of a perpetual motion machine.

Could you upload the generated file? I have no idea how or what Perl is, but this seems amazingly useful.
There's little point. Depending on the mods you have installed, the number of oretiles that need to be hidden will differ. Every modpack or selection of mods will have a different number of ores and thus GeoStrata oretiles.
If you can't run Perl, you can use a spreadsheet to quickly generate the 1…N NEI.hide lines needed for your configuration.

Question about the boring machine. How would I power it using electricraft? I know that I need an induction motor, and that the electricraft system will only supply power if a machine it's connected to is requesting it. So how do I "start" the boring machine so that it will request power?
Fluid technical issues notwithstanding, your setup is something of a perpetual motion machine.
Hey, I'm trying to pump the water that activates the hydro back up to the top. It's not my fault that the pumps are duplicating water faster than it can drain away :-)

What matters isn't views, it's total minutes viewed.
Someone that goes to a Reika video, see's that it's not about an RF reactor, and leaves, counts the same number of views as someone that watches the whole thing.
Total minutes watched; relative audience retention; these are two of the key metrics YouTube uses.
(Youtube is interested in whatever keeps you watching youtube.)

I have a slight question. Running into a problem with waterwheels and that if I combine more than three (3) in a linear fashion, the fourth one cannot maintain power. It makes the gear grinding noise despite the full buffer of lubricant. THis is my first play through using them.

Combining more than four hits a limit, but three? Check your waterfall.

Re-established water fall using direct fall from source blocks. Still chatters and clangs. Each wheel is making its max 524Kw with the exception of #4.

Post a screenshot. I have two banks of four engines, so I know it works.

I assume the answer is no, but I figured I should check first just to be safe. Other than having to find ungenerated chunks for woldgen stuff, there shouldn't be any issues adding Chromaticraft to a preexisting world, right?Just wary of doing things with ChC that might cause corruption.

Four source blocks, all the same distance from their respective water wheels? When you just enable #4, what's it generating?
Hope you will know what im doing wrong - i cannot solve this.
I wish to ask about hydrokinetic engines - after dobule checking of height (ive found that it wasn't 65 tall waterfall), lubrication and whole set up of turbines, gearboxes etc. im not getting whole available power. Im trying to link 4 turbines, but only 3 linked works good, when im connecting 4th one output is not increasing - it stays like for 3 of them, moreover turibnes starts to make hammering noise like wrongly setted up shaft junction with different input speeds. My single player is a bit laggy, but it shouldnt interfere with that.
Any solutions?
Edit: Something went wrong... after ive moved (by worldedit commands) my piston waterfall grid several times to perfectly fit it - now there is 65 blocks of space over water turbine before water source nothing works fine. Speed is merged, but not force nor power - attaching screen of that weirdo.
I'm
probably being far to polite with this, so 'm just going to cut to the
chase, I would like to add the following of your mods to my server, each
for a specific reason given after it's name
DragonAPI, it's a dependancy, it' needed for your other mods to function properly
RotaryCraft,
it's tech tree progression slows work and allows for a longer period
with things to do without devolving into fighting
ReactorCraft, I want a fusion reactor, I refuse to justify this in any other way
ChromatiCraft, not heard of it before going on to get Rotarycraft I just want to play with it
ElectriCraft,
same as ChromatiCraft, and yes I am just inflicting them upon my
friends, because it's my server, the owner of the thing decides how
others play it, I do believe you tae that stance with your mods, they're
your mods
GeoStrata, we're all building bases, more materials is good in my books
VoidMonster, hehehehehehehe
legacyCraft,
still not sure how much of it I'll turn on or if i'll not even add it, I
may use it solely to disable baby zombies and maybe also returning to
old pathfinding.
I know you specifically say that asking
your permission is not strictly required, though you do say on your
sites pack permissions and rules page that it is strongly preffered. I
also an doing this so that if i encounter issues I have the thread
bookmarked to ask for help as I am not the most experienced.
yours Sincerely
Alexkubel

Ahh, one more thing: any idea how to produce large quantities of lubricant? I checked that grinder need a lot of rad/s with at least 128 Nm, but that need a solar tower or micro turbine - which both needs jet fuel, therefore next big automatic farm. Sadly canola can be processed only in RotaryCraft machine, what ends with many weak and unefficient steam engines to make few lubricant in about 30 sec each in completly automatic way.
Try Hydrokinetics and gearboxes/cvt units. You can Centrifuge the husks too. Why does the solartower needs jet fuel? Only one time for the blast glass.
Another way to grind large amounts of Canola you can use a Bedrock industrial coil + CVT units

...I...feel conflicted about this revelation:
Reika, your fusion reactor tutorial has more views by itself, than the entire ITER channel.
