Hi there
I'm currently putting together a personal modpack for my next SSP playthrough, and obviously most your mods are in. Unfortunately I'm running into a roadblock right now. I'm trying to tweak the oregen to resemble Gregtech (i.e. sparse, but humongous veins of ore) because I prefer that style of mining. To accomplish this I'm using the CofH world gen configs. However it would appear that ReactorCraft does not like foreign mods trying to spawn its ores, because after I added its ores to the config, my game now crashes whenever I try to generate a new world.
Have you seen something like this before? Do you have any fixes/workarounds for this issue? Is it even on your end, or should I go bother Team CofH with this?

The crash is an interaction - specifically a code loop - between CoFH and ChromatiCraft. ReC is not involved.

I am the developer of many mods, most famously RotaryCraft and ChromatiCraft.

That's odd, I didn't touch ChC oregen at all. Also I ran the test again just now with it disabled, and it still crashes. I guess it really is happening on CofHs side of things.
spawner reprogrammers get power from lumen relays, and they take the pink and gray(might be light gray) energy. then just select the mob you want, and put a spawner in the inventory slot of the reprogrammer. you must use a spawner gotten from rotarycraft(bedrock pick/boring machine/pile driver)
I tried playing around with the lumen relay system more and finally got it to work. The relay has to be placed directly adjacent to the reprogrammer, I guess? That's what finally got it to work for me. The Lexicon really doesn't bother giving any details about how most of this stuff works. I've still got no clue on the Warp Glass or Elemental Lamp. I can try playing around with the relay system more, but I don't even know if these blocks need the relays? Who knows?
Now I'm having problems with the Lumen Tree. I've built it exactly as the diagram shows in the lexicon, including adding the Lumenescent Battery in the missing space on the top, but the structure isn't forming. I've put the battery in the southwest corner; I've cleared out all of the area around the base of the tree; I've even tried building the tree out in the middle of the desert where the ground was perfectly flat with no obstructions, and I just can't get the dang tree to form correctly. Is there a trick to getting this to work?
tritonal, the relays work in direct LoS cardinal directions only and the relays have a receiving only side.
Thank you, that is very helpful.
How exactly is one supposed to figure that out? The lexicon implies that they work like repeaters (need clear line of sight), and they LOOK just like tiny repeaters, but they actually function completely differently. That's a really frustrating, unintuitive design.
EDIT: I figured out my issue with the Lumen Tree. I didn't realize that the two different recipes for Crystalline Stone Groove actually make different blocks. I was using the wrong type of groove.
This section of the map has been very good to me for ChromatiCraft. Two ocean temples, and 15/16 colors on the screen. The only one that's distant is Vadali, but I haven't made the compass to confirm there's not a closer one yet. I'm probably going to make my third tier altar (or whichever one crafts with lumens) in that little inlet below Portokali.
Did you ever use one ? It indeed generates water from nothing, but in small quantities and requires a more than decent amount of power (and lubricant) which is absolutely not worth it when it's about supplying a steam engine in a world with finite water.
What I'm suggesting is an alternative using snow and less power, and the Rock Melter is a good candidate for that imo.
Actually, it can produce water in quantities that blows everything else away. It's the machine used to get water to fusion reactors. It's capable of 128 buckets per tick, which is 2,560 buckets per second.
It also uses no lubricant.
Sure, it's not going to be any use for 1 steam engine. However, the water production scales up quite fast once you break the 1 tick operation mark, which is only around 54kr/s. 4 Hydro engines will get 409mb/t. So, depending on your implementation of finite water, this could be very useful.
Making snow, then melting it back down could very likely take even more power for a reasonable amount btw. Your best bet is to just not use the steam engines until you can get the DPA running mass water. AC Engine is your best bet for early game power without any sort of water/fuel. ( Magnetizing the cores is self-sustaining. )
i have a little Server for some friends and myself running and have a little problem with Rotarycrafts Manual. As soon as its opened on some clients, Minecraft crashes with this error:
We are using Rotarycraft, Reactorcraft and DragonAPI in the latest (1.7.10 V7f) version and are all using the Java-Version that comes bundled with the new launcher. The Reactorcraft book works just fine.

I looked into your mods for the first time and I immediately loved it. The thing I truly love about your tech mods is the realism. I have never seen anything like it. Everything you do in the tech mods is realistic and awesome at the same time!
My top 3 favorite:
1. RotaryCraft
2. ReactorCraft
3. ElectricCraft

If I helped you in any way or agree in my ideas or posts, make sure you click that green arrow pointing up below my post or simply huggle me! I use 1.7.10 (Modded), so when I comment that I like a 1.8 mod, I will comment to downgrade to 1.7.10. I support no pics, no clicks. Suggestions that I think that are the best deserves a banner!
It is almost time to say goodbye to 1.7.10 because of the recent surge of big 1.9 mods.
Why MCreator sucks: jcm2606's file (doesn't open a new tab) He allows/welcomes anyone to link the file, so I put it here in my signature for people to know how MCreator functions. I thank jcm2606 (he's awesome) for creating the document/file and I'm just here to spread the word.
The 'flower' effect in the pylon/controler block makes it look more like Lumen storage than generation, to me. My question though is what's going on with that prismatic fuzz in the dirt archway to the left?
Edit to avoid double posting: Is there any problem with going into Creative to destroy a Pylon? Other than having to find a new one of the color, I mean. Is there any risk of corruption from doing it?

Hey there, it's me again :3
I got my last crash sorted, it was just me being silly with the size of my ore clusters.
But here's another one. This happened when I was clicking through the recipes list for the fermenter, something about leaf block lighting. It is entirely reproducible, I just did it thrice and it crashed every time, although not always on the same page. The stack traces are near-identical each time, the only difference being the index number given at the very top.
Oh, I'm really looking forward to this actually. Even if it's expensive. That mean you can make your lumen generation much more compact and not spread across the world, which is useful for servers.

Here's the crash report I'm getting
And here's the worldgen file in case you're interested

...why? There's already the Dew Point Aggregator, which generates water from nothing.

Try removing mods.
Java 1.8 comes with the newest launcher? Hmm~
Only thing I could think of is too many plants, but then that'd be a memory issue and you've got plenty.
-> I think one of the mods is being retrieved improperly, possibly due to Client Forge versions.
Ooooh. Lemme guess, artificial pylons.

new shapes for pylons?
I'm a Webcomic lover. Have some banners of my favorites:

Incase anyone wants it, I made a minetweaker script that uses modtweaker to assign chisel groups for geostrata stone.

Here's the latest log for it
I like this, I'll add that to my pack immediately
