Anyone use Project E and Rotarycraft together? I figured it would be like pouring ketchup on gourmet food, but somehow it works harmoniously. I had a watch of flowing time too close to a steam engine when I activated it and next thing I know my gearboxes explode and the grinder shredded through half a stack of ore in less than a minute. Plus my computer can't handle loading alot of chunks so quarrying is quite a lag fest. Instead I have power flower gardens condensing emc into the items I need.
Also this is an somewhat dumb question, but do your mods auto update or something? I saw some smooth stone that WAILA said it was from Chromaticraft, but when I went back later it had changed into a concave faced block with a crystal structure in the middle. I noticed that some other things had different effects after that. For example I used to have some issues with looking up things in NEI, but now I have no issues.

Chromaticraft progression. Those blocks update when you reach the required research level to view them. same with NEI.

Huh. Never really bothered to look for info on the mod. I just figured I throw it in since I have all of Reika's other mods. I didn't even know I had progressed. Neat.

What's the process for debugging / fixing corrupt worlds?
I
had another client hang, so I killed it and restarted, but on restart
when I select the world it says "loading world" "building terrain" then
drops me back to the select a world menu. If I then select a world (any
one not just the main one) it puts up a message saying "shutting down
internal server" and hangs indefinitely.
I wasn't doing anything odd when this happened, just straightening out some item pumps.
I have no way for fixing or debugging this.

Im pretty sure the watch just adds bonus ticks to surrounding machines. I still dont know the specifics of what happened. I tried placing a steel gearbox (full of lube) down and it wouldn't transfer the power to the grinder. It did spin though, but only wooden worked, if only for a second. Im currently working toward a turbine. Hilarity shall ensue, and I'm sure I'll probably lose half my base in the name of science.
First to test my theory that it was related to the Rotarycraft stuff I was playing with when it crashed I took out Rotarycraft, Reactorcraft and Electricraft. That got the level loading again.
Then I went back to a copy of it in the broken state, I opened it up in mcedit and I deleted the blocks immediately around my character, the pumps and shafts I'd been working on when it crashed, about a dozen blocks in total all of it Rotarycraft machinery or vanilla blocks.
Now my world load and plays normally.
I still have a copy of the broken state, do you want anything from it?
A crashlog.

Right-clicking
removes the crystal, but does not give it to me; I suspect that's an
interaction with another mod that overrides right-click on crops, (I
think it's) Harvestcraft. I tried putting a line of RotC fans behind
them, but they seem to not do anything.
The drop rate is less than 2%.

You can chain more Hydrokinetic engines if you upgrade them.
To do do, equip a bedrock shaft and click on the placed hydro engine.
You can place the hydro kinetics singly, upgrade with bedrock, and break them and when you pick the engine up it will retain the upgrade (only tested with silk touch).
I have chained up to 16 hydro engines. I am not sure if there is a limit.
You can chain and abuse Hydrokinetics once you have advanced materials, requiring advanced engines to get.
You can't abuse low power engines (Hydrokinectics) to skip ahead in the tech tree to aquire those advanced materials, without the use of advanced engines.
maybe so but the fact that you can upgrade them is important information I was about to scrap the extra 4 that I had because it just isn't worth the trouble.
I don't remember seeing anything in the book about upgrading them either. I may have missed it but this info should be in the book.
Reika:
With some of these changes since the last time I played RoC/ReC I get the feeling I am playing two games, RoC/ReC and then the mod pack... it makes things feel very separated. I have to setup two sets of power systems etc. until you get to late game and can upgrade the cross mod engines to an acceptable level.
That being said I realize you can't even begin to try and balance things with other mods in mind (one would lose their mind).
...
I may run a game with just your mods and a few supporting mods. I would probably stream that if I did, might help some people and would give me a better understanding of the progression. we shall see.

I have a shaft power bus hooked up with lubricant and plenty of power. Shaft units in the sides that are connected to the fractionalization units pictures. The controller only shows 1 device connected though. Any thoughts?
Golems have a bad tendency to sit there and click the first block they see until it is unclickable, which means you would need a golem for each crystal bloom plant you have-not a great idea. if you have pnuematicraft, you can have a drone right click over a huge area of blocks, pick up all the item, drop them off, and repeat. requires a bit of stuff done with pnuematicraft, and you would need to give it power, but its a pretty good option. also easy to reprogram the drone if you make the farm larger or move it

that is because it is only counting the number of engines giving power, not the amount of machines its powering.
I've sometimes had issues where I had to break and replace the shaft power busses to get them to work again. Try breaking them all and see if that fixes it.
Make it into blocks and make dinosaur monuments out of it.

In that case, the bug is one of a power input recursion, related to the SOE error earlier.

Okay, I figured that was right. I just wanted to make sure. Thank you :3

RotaryCraft fans appear to work for this.
Soon™.

oh to be clear it's not powering anything. there was just extra jet fuel in the lines.

This is untrue.
