Abrar says that ASM is probably involved, so now all bets are off. I would submit this as an issue request, but I want to ensure it is both my fault and not fixed in newer versions before doing so.
Who is Abrar, and what are you submitting an issue report to?
Abrarsayed. He is the creator(or at least one of the creators) of ForgeGradle, a tool Forge modders use for compiling and building their mods.
Ah, okay. Yeah I know what ForgeGradle is as I make mods as well. So then this might be an issue in Forge itself? That would make sense given how strange this is.
Also, I have no idea what the WAILA issue is, but I know that the reason my blocks do not have messed up names is that I specify them manually, as it used to not print them at all in later versions for 1.6.4.

Nevermind its the hitpoint thing as pointed out below

When you set Waila to show mob hitpoints, game immediately crashes. Another issue appears to be AA in front of names but they appear not to effect gameplay.
There is one last thing, with Chromacraft installed I get invulnerability that can't be disabled. Removing Chromacraft appears to solve the problem. I have to cram a bit so I won't be able to pinpoint exact interraction that creates the invulnerability.

That would be debug code I left in.

Wow... alright, but please, just answer my question? Come on, I've spent the last two days trying to get a straight answer here. Is there a fix for this in 1.6.4, or not?

Seeing as someone else got it working, in addition to my using it without issue, it is likely no fix is necessary.
And again, if it is broken, it will remain so. This has already been made abundantly clear.

Someone might've found a fix though fixing mod itself is possibly not probable.

Thank you! That's all I wanted to know. There's obviously a way to make it work, so I just need to find it. I'm not asking for a new fix; I'm asking to be pointed to the existing fix.
Could it be an interaction with another mod? Everything else I'm using that interacts with BC's MJ seems to work just fine - Forestry, Dartcraft, Railcraft, and the BC add-on Teleport Pipes. Are there any of these you are personally not using? If that's the case, I may be able to make this work by simply removing the offending mod.
Also, I have no idea what the WAILA issue is, but I know that the reason my blocks do not have messed up names is that I specify them manually, as it used to not print them at all in later versions for 1.6.4.
I talked with ProfMobius, and apparently the method you're using for WAILA support (implementing IWailaBlock) is deprecated (has been for months). You should need to switch to the IWailaDataProvider method, as IWailaBlock is going to be removed entirely. The new API is pretty similiar so changing should be a quick and painless process, details here: http://mcpold.ocean-labs.de/index.php/Waila_API#Registering_with_Waila

Okay, last post about this. I removed Dartcraft, Railcraft, and Teleport Pipes, and now the air compressor and pneumatic engine work. I don't know which one it was that was messing it up because I removed all of those mods at the same time, but it was one of those three.

just add them back one at a time till you find it, it would be nice to have it on here for anyone that comes in the future

I see the similarity, but have no idea what is going on here. How does one use the old block classes and methods in said classes while using the new registration systems? Registering a custom handler and registrar and like 3 other classes for every block ID is absolutely unacceptable. I would sooner completely remove Waila support than have 80 classes dedicated to it.

just add them back one at a time till you find it, it would be nice to have it on here for anyone that comes in the future
*sighs* Never mind... it's still not working.
