Loving the new update! I know the beef is just a placeholder, but perhaps pinkys could be cannibals? You breed them by feeding the meat they drop to them, and at the same time the meat is edible.
Also, requesting another creative item, the BFG.
You should be able to have some fun with that xD
And why not just call the mod Lycanite? It seems to fit. Lycanite Creations, Lycanite Spawns, etc.
I was thinking about adding Pinky Meat which restores a bit of hunger when raw but also wither and then when cooked restores a bit more hunger (same as chicken maybe) and also provides a strength boost.
Also in order to breed them, I was thinking about having to feed them live Cows, Pigs or Sheep (although they love chicken, they're too small to start a mating frenzy)! This way Pinkies don't replace other farm animals because you still need other animals to breed the pinkies. Also feeding live bait seems very evil which is what a demon farmer would have to be!
As for the BFG, I'm only going to be focusing on mobs atm, custom weapons will be something I might look at in the future.
Can't wait to see me all time fave, the cacodemon in MC!
Also please, please add a compact disc with the Club Doom music on it as an easter egg! lol
The Cacodemon are going to be fun to make I think, especially if they'e going to be tamable! Also a custom music disc is definitely something I could do, just so long as the download size doesn't get to high with the custom music!
Loving the new model! Theres a few clipping textures though which are very very annoying, also the feet look like stone slabs, I see the goat hooves though, maybe add that little crack in between the toes? Like an actual goat hoof, to make it more understandable.
But holy crap this is amazing! I can't wait to see more! Every day i check for a new mob
Also, while i didn't really think too well of the previous model of the Behemoth, I think you should still use it as a spawn egg, classical behemoth for example, as a sort of easter egg type thing.
Of course they wouldn't spawn naturally xD
Can't wait for Cacodemons and i like the live animals thing, but if it costs live animals, then the pinky meat better be good, and there should be some sort of + with having a pinky farm nearby, perhaps you can ride pinkys? That would be amazing.
Stop treating mod devs poorly. These people mod as a hobby or as a service to the community, they don't have to take your suggestion and you are not entitled to anything from them.

I might make Pinkies mountable I'm not sure yet though, I like the idea of the Pinkies being very dangerous, even when farmed they'll be aggressive. A demon mount would be cool be I'm not sure what yet. I'm going to start working on the Trite now and I'm going to try using Obj models instead of Java boxes which should make things a whole lot easier if it all works nicely!
I am not sure if they are a later doom sound or not but they do not seem overly right. Pinky, on the other wing, Perfection. I admit I am used to the classic sounds.
Doom is actually an important game to me... long story short. I met my husband as a result of it. So Minecraft with doom mobs is wonderful because we both love minecraft
Keep up the great work. I look forward to seeing the other Doom Mobs. The work so far makes me giggle with glee.

Update the Behemoth on the post, and will the clipping textures be fixed?

Awesome! I've often though about how cool it would be to add DooM mobs -- and more biome-specific baddies has been on my mind since I started thinking about mod-pack ideas.

Doom is an amazing game and I'm glad to bring a bit of it into Minecraft! The sounds are based off the PlayStation and Doom 64 ports of Doom which I always preferred to the classic sounds, but I could easily release a little Resource pack with the classic Doom sounds later if you'd like. I've been modding Doom for years using Doom legacy and then GZDoom so bringing some of the demons to Minecraft is a lot of fun.
Update the Behemoth on the post, and will the clipping textures be fixed?
I'll address the clipping issues for the next update, for now I'm working on the Trite from Doom 3 using a new method which once I get working correctly, should reduce how limited modeling these mobs are.
New Mob: The Trite! See the first post for info about it.
Bug Fixed: Demon Mobs will no longer check light levels when spawning (like Zombies, etc do).
Bug Fixed: Minor texture clipping on the Behemoth's feet.
Bug Fixed: Hellfire didn't emit light and was missing a few other properties, it still doesn't seem to be setting entities on fire for some reason though, I'll have to look into this.
All Demon mobs have had their spawn rates drastically increased so that they spawn more frequently in the Nether. Please let me know if they spawn too often or not enough.
Pinkies have more health and will now attack Zombie Pigmen on sight!
Added support for Wavefront obj format entity models which the Trite uses and all future mobs will use. This means I can model mobs in Blender now which is muuuuuch easier and I can animate them easier too. Forge adds support for importing Wavefront obj models but it took a bit of work to get them working nicely for animated entities.
The Animation API is no longer included in the download and is no longer necessary for this mod. I may make use of it later but now due to the new model format, it isn't used by this mod.
This makes me so happy I can barely express it. I've been playing Doom again (with Brutal Doom, naturally) since the QuakeCon sale on Steam and it brought back so many memories. Now I can fight demons in Minecraft, and for that I can't thank you enough. Your work is awesome - and so fast, too!
The green hellfire is a extra special touch, too - I never knew how much I'd appreciate having it. I would love to find a way to make a wand to actually shoot them like arrows. For now they're great for reminding people that I don't need no ORDINARY fire place. Hah!
My inner warlockety nature can't help but ask, though - are there any thoughts about making it possible to tame - or at least temporarily enslave - any of your new demons? That is, perhaps with some difficulty, using things such as Nether Stars or likewise difficult to procure materials.
Putting in the work to trap and bribe a Piggy Demon or Behemoth to serve as my special surprise guest for housecrashers would make me a happy goblin.
Another recommendation would be to make the Nether Soul explode on death similarly to the way that the Hell Souls explode in several of the Doom modifications. This could be extra challenging while exploring the Nether - essentially flying, player seeking, bitey versions of Ghast Fireballs (or, alternately, mini-flying fire creepers). Oh now nasty that could be.
Not really happy about the increase, before you couldn't go anywhere without seeing demons, now they've completely taken over the spawns of Pigmen etc, the nether is so populated with demons nothing else can spawn, and causes alot of lag on servers, if anything i'de say make them rarer then they were before, because with the amount of demons your adding, it would still be pretty common to see a demon with a greater variety.
The alternative would be to add spawn rates to the config, so players can change them.
Although i like the trites xD

Brutal Doom is pretty awesome! I'm glad you like the Hellfire, although i think there's a bug with it where it wont actually burn entities, but I'll look into it, I'm missing something...
I'm going to make Pinkies farmable, it'll be a dangerous job and you'll have to feed them Cow, pigs or Sheep in order to breed them but the Pinky Meat they'll drop will make it worth while. I'll also have to stop them from despawning and change their spawn type to animal.
I also have plans to make Cacodemons tamable when they're added too! Using a Nether Star seems like a pretty good idea too! I also really like the idea of exploding Nether Souls, I'll probably make them explode on death dealing a tiny amount of damage but also destroying a few weak blocks.

Hmm odd, when editing Minecraft I was struggling to see them spawn, I'll lower the spawn rates back down to how they were and I'll make them changeable in the config, good idea! In the mean time you could try using Dr Zhark's Custom Mob Spawner, simply hit F6 in game to bring up the spawning menu, you can even have them spawn in different biomes/dimensions rather than just the nether, it's great with Biomes O plenty and some of the evil biomes.
I'm going to start working on the Asmodi (Arachnotron) tomorrow and will hopefully have it done by the day after! The question is, should I give it 4 or 6 legs?

Make both! They could be exactly the same, but two variations.

Hmm I think I'm going to go with 6 because it matches up with the Trite, making them have some kind of relation with each other, I might make dead Asmodi release a small swarm of Trites.
Im interested in those textures. How did you make them so real.
They're a little higher res then vanilla mobs. I used sprites from the original game along with some skins from the various 3D models available online and some HD sprites and then with Photoshop's clone tool and a little bit of paint brush work I made the textures. I also use the noise filter and play with the brightness, contrast and the color levels to get things right.
This mod looks promising and I'd like to see it prosper into another fine mob mod. I've always been a fan of creature mods and I'm sure this one will be another addition to many Minecraft favorites. Good luck and may the force be with you.
I'm glad to hear that people are enjoying this mod, it is fun to work on!
Updated to 0.1.6:
New mob added: The Asmodi based off the Doom 2 Arachnotron! my favorite demon from the Doom series!
The model is more detailed than any other mob I've done so far so please let me know what you think and whether or not you think it might be too detailed and not 'blocky' enough to fit in.
New projectile added: Devil Stars, small fast projectiles that deal little damage, used by the Asmodi. Devil Star Charges can be obtained through creative mode for dispensers.
Added mob spawning settings to the config and lowered the defaults.
The Behemoth and Belph are now a little bit more accurate with their attacks.
