Hey, I have a few weird issues happening with the updated shaders.
Screenshots:
Vibrant v1.05 Lite
Vibrant v1.05 Medium
Vibrant v1.05 High
Vibrant v1.05 Ultra
I did just roll back from MCv1.7.2, back to MCv1.6.4. I double checked that my Optifine, ShadersCore Mod, and Forge were all compatible.
I do have other mods from my friend's server that /could/ be causing conflict, however the Basic v1.04 (Regular, DoF, and Motion Blur) all work correctly. (However, a large portion of other Shader packs, from other creators, are not working either.)
Just curious if anyone has encountered this or knows what the hell is happening.
When I'm inside it's way to dark, torches don't seem to make it that bright. Is there anything I can do about this? I really like this shader pack, but anytime I'm in my house or mining, I have to turn it off for this reason. Also I'm using version 1.05.

I dropped the 1.6.4 support from my thread, there were some changes from 1.6.4 -> 1.7.2+ with the GLSL mod itself, which may cause your issue.

Can you may edit your post and add a screenshot in a spoiler? It looks fine here, ofc I did made some testings inside mines and such. Maybe it's monitor related.
You know of anyway I can fix this? Minecraft only has a brightness option, not a gamma. If I'm suppose to install Optifine I can't since I know I at least have 1 mod conflict atm, which is TE.
My old monitor bled backlight and I got used to that. My new monitor is now an IPS/e-IPS panel that reproduced color very well. So now I have dark colors that are too dark, even for regular MC. For some reason, my monitor doesn't have a gamma setting.
The new monitor is the Asus V239h-p, and the smart contrast helps a bit, but also hurts depending on the situation. Regular MC barely works, lol. Of course.

If your monitor does not have a gamma setting, then there is an alternate solution. Optifine won't help either since it uses a brightness slider and no gamma option.
The alternate solution is to access your GPU control panel. This is a menu that is either from Intel, nVidia, or AMD. Intel should be something like Intel Graphics or similar, nVidia control panel (unless nVidia renamed it to intergrate whatever they advertised, but that should belong to something else), or the AMD Catalyst Control Center.

I have no idea. Hopefully Sildur may fix it. It's too dark! and these shaders are perfect to reduce lag.
Eh idk whats going on but when i look at a certain degree i get a big white line it happens with all of the texture packs i use and stuff ?? Help please.
Which of the files has a setting for disabling the dynamic hand lighting for torches etc? Can't seem to find it....
In other news, new version is working fine so far in the few minutes I've got it started up.
Ultra is running smooth above 60fps in caves at least with my i7-3770k at 4.2ghz and one of my AMD 7950s.
The torch brightness, I think is in composite.vsh on line 137..
If the dark is too 'dark', you can try editing line 25 in composite.fsh.. Or bumping the torch/sunlight/ambient light values in both composite.fsh/vsh. I can't find any 'gamma' values to brighten everything.
You can try bumping brightness/smooth lighting in options -> video, and make sure you go into options -> shaders and TURN OFF use old lighting.
Can anyone with brightness issues send me their map through a PM maybe?
So I can test it better, the server which I usually use to test those things is currently on the latest pre release build of MC.

Personally I would have the glow stone light travel further but it's your shader so your decision.

If he edits the glowstone light, he'll edit the torch light at the same time. They use the same light "type". He can't individually fine tune the different light source intensities.
does this shader pack work for 1.7.2? or just 1.6.4 and 1.7.10, cause I tried it with 1.7.2 and it crashed instantly, just like every other thing. I use an Intel Graphic Card Core i7. I tried it because it said it is compatible with Intel cards, i dont know if this is a missunderstanding. If you would like, add me on skype!

Hm..maybe? I can't give you a better answer yet.

I think it's a Gamma issue.
I'm back
Ah! That makes sense, I'll double check it on another version and see if that resolves the issue.
Thanks for the response Sildur! I love this shader pack, its gorgeous, and I'm excited to see how the night darkness looks now.
