I'm trying to make the color of torches closer to white, It looks awesome in caves but is bad for in my house.
I'm looking at line 54 in both 'gbuffers_textured.vsh' and 'gbuffers_block.vsh' but I'm not sure what to change.
In the attachment, you can see that I've highlighted some text. In the parentheses, there are 3 separate numbers separated by commas:
vec3(1.0,0.5,0.065)
1.0, 0.5, and 0.065. The first number: 1.0 represents the Red colour value. The second number represents the Green colour value, and the third number represents the Blue colour value. the values range from 0.0 to 1.0 ideally. You may go over 1.0 but that might cause problems, so stay within the normal range.
1.0 means full saturation while 0.0 means the colour is desaturated or "missing" from the final colour. If you don't know how colours on a screen work in the RGB (Red, Green, Blue) colour space, you may use this website to help you: colorhexa.com
Since you want the colour white, you can just type "White" in the search bar, and it will show you a page with details of the colour white. If you scroll down a little, you'll see a graph with the values R, G, and B. These represent the same values as in the code, all you need to do is divide them by 100, since the website ranges from 0 to 100, while the code ranges from 0.0 to 1.0 (the ".0" is important in the code).
R, G, and B all have the value 100, so in the code it would be: "vec3(1.0,1.0,1.0)" This is pure white though, and to make the white dimmer you would need to lower each value. If all 3 values are the same, the result will be monochrome or gray, so a dimmer white would just be 3 values that are less than 1.0 and also the same, like 0.75,0.75,0.75
Simply making one value larger than the others will make that the predominant colour. If you don't feel like mixing the colours and testing them, colorhexa.com will help you a lot.
Attached is also an example of the color hexa website.
Setting vec3(1.0,1.0,1.0) was the first thing I tried before asking for help. It's not working for some reason. light still is orange.
Ah yes, the guy who wanted to change colours was complaining about the mobs and entities. To start changing the colours, you first need to go to composite.fsh and go to line 1002 and edit the colour there as well.
Can someone help me? I want to lower the amount of waves, and I BELIEVE it has something to do with water parallax, but I don't know how to change it. Assistance would be appreciated!

In Minecraft options > video settings > shaders > shader options > Parallax mapping > water parallax mapping, turn water parallax mapping off. This will make the waves 2d and much less obtrusive.
Thanks! That did it. But I still want tiny waves, is there any way to change the value in the code?
Wait a second, which waves are we talking about. The "Waving Water" option inside the Waving Items menu inside the shader options? Or the water parallax waves? They are both different kinds of waves.
You must change the number 6 to a smaller number. I changed it to 3, but you can change it to whatever you want. Use F3+R to refresh the shaders so you don't need to go into the minecraft settings every time you make a change. Image is in the attachments.
Enhanced Default v1.01
- Improved performance, I get about 15-20fps more compared to v1.0. Make sure to update your optifine version, otherwise you might not gain that much of a boost.
- Fixed fog under/in lava. You might have to update your optifine version for this to work.
- Added ingame option Reflections Quality. (fast|fancy, default: fast)
If you encounter any more bugs be sure to report back, include your GPU, GPU driver version, MC version and mods in your post.
As stated already make sure your optifine version is up to date. Sp614x keeps on backporting certain things to older MC versions. http://optifine.net/downloads
Hey, I'm interested in trying out your shaderpack, but I'd really rather not have to use adfly to download it due to viruses and bad experience I've had with it in the past. Would it be possible for you to send me a direct download link instead, please?
P.S. The one I would like to download is the Regular Basic version.

Just click the button in the top right... if you don't click anything you won't get viruses.
The depth of field doesn't seem to be working on enhanced default shaders.
I'm using version 1.01 of the Enhanced default shaders and the DoF works for me. It also works slightly when Distance Blur is enabled. Make sure Distance Blur is OFF if you want Depth of Field, it also might be because your depth of field strength is too low and that you can't notice it, you can set it higher to see if you can notice it. If that still doesn't work. Please update your GPU drivers to the latest version, they fix more things than you think.

That's what I was missing. Thank you very much, it's working now

The parallax waves. Sorry for the confusion.
In line 81 of gbuffers_water.fsh:
for (int i = 0; i < 6; i++) {

Thanks a ton!
Wonderful, however, I can't seem to download any of them given the ad.fly keeps trying to give me viruses and redirecting me to shady pages.
Sent you a PM.

Yes, I know how to use adfly, but I don't want to use it since it keeps trying to give me viruses and/or redirect me to different pages.
