I think I'll add ways to increase the speeds on boats first, like oars, then add the Modular Boat, in the fashion of MachineMuse's PowerSuits. Could you explain the crafting table for boats a bit more? Is it like boats with crafting tables in them, or a special new block that make boats.
I think he was saying a new crafting table for boats like Galacticraft's Nasa Workbench or Steve's Carts Assemby Table.
I'm all for more boat mods. I think it's a sorely overlooked part of Minecraft, especially for us Explorers. Nice work!
I've always wanted to do more boat centered builds in Minecraft, one of my favorites that I've done has to have been the ultra-fast boat bridge I built in SkyBlock. Sadly, though there isn't enough content in the vanilla boating system to do interesting things with. That's why I'm here!
The Mod doesn't work properly for me... it just crashes when I click (or right click) on the boats. Please help! I love the concept, favourite from the Modjam!

A you running version 1.0.1 or 1.0.2?
Crash report?
Mine however, is a bit different, and i think does a few things better... either way. I have never officially released it, and I don't plan on ever touching it again, so I invite you steal and copy whatever you wish.

Sweet. Thanks! I hope you don't mind that I've also been working with your build script for version 2.0.
Much appreciated! I began to fix your annoyance with the Vanilla Boats for version 1.1, in this pull request.
1.1 is set for release after the changes for 1.0.2 are finished, 1.0.2 thankfully only comprises of rendering tweaks and fixes.
Thanks! Would you be able to add my video to the post? It would help me out so much

Of course! Currently however, I am working on the BoatCraft, cloaked batman, and OreEncyclopedia pages on my website, so many things on the forum post will not be updated for a little bit. Thankfully on my website there will be embedded videos for many of the mod spotlights, so look forward to that. Sorry for the delay on everything, these past two weeks were my first two weeks of the new school year, but now everything should be getting back into pattern so there should be less delay in modding and interaction on the forum.
Good mod, never thought of this idea before.
Would be great if you added a change log?
Currently the changelog is on GitHub but currently I am reformatting my forum posts and website so a few things will be missing for a little bit here while I iron out the kinks.
This is the main focus of 2.0. So yes. It's been on my mind since the beginning. Oh! And the rope you speak of, how does the horse lead sound as a connector?
Horse lead would be Perfect! What we don't need is another wrench.
Think your BC integration idea is cool too. Were you thinking about having the boat follow BC path markers? That'd be slick.

Yep! The tech tree I enjoy the most in Minecraft mods is the BuildCraft tech tree. So BuildCraft, RailCraft, Forestry, ThermalExpansion, Modular Powersuits, and Tinker's Construct to a lesser extent are all the main focuses for mod integration. If I do ever need a wrench it will not be specific to my mod. (RailCraft crowbar ) I must apologize that currently my coding focus isn't entirely on BoatCraft currently though. While I was coding BoatCraft I realized there are a lot of little utility features that would be great to have that didn't quite fit into BoatCraft. Once I'm done making my information retrieval mods I will be back at BoatCraft and releasing a 2.0 pre-release.

Utilities for you and modding or for general MC-ing, like in a different mod?

So currently I only have plans fir the two separate utility mods, cloaked batman and OreEncyclopedia.
cloaked batman is a universal open-source statistical mod for Forge Mod Loader. It gathers a list of all the mods installed and submits it to MCStats, like many Bukkit plugins do.
OreEncyclopedia is simply an OreDictionary utility mod. Currently it features a command that will list all of the registered OreDictionary entries and what items and contained in the entries.
It would be a boat that works for dogs. They still follow you, tough they will have their sitting position.
To get them out you have to click them.
Without a pet, they would look like boat with wool. The recipe is a boat, wool and a bone. There might be a Meowing Boat too,but with raw fish instead of a bone.

That might work one day, but probably not this early in the development cycle.
Stop reading my mind!

I like the concept, in fact I already have plans for it!
