What is this mod?
This mod is enhancing regular minecraft brewing system, allowing you to combine potions with different effects and have potions with custom effects, including both regular ones (such as poison, harming, weakness, etc.) and special ones, that are not available with regular brewing (wither, nausea, blindness, etc.).

Note, that this mod is SMP-Compatible! I suggest you install it on your server and test it with your friends!
Note that this mod REQUIRES minecraft forge to be installed. But it's no big deal... Right? In case you didn't know, you can download required 1.6.2 build of minecraft forge here. Forge site is not very stable, so be patient if you are not able to access the page right away.
Installing Forge is pretty easy now with the new launcher, just follow the instructions on the forge releases page.
After you've played with it a bit, feel free to leave a post below. I really want your guys to feedback on the work I've done with this.
Recipes and Instructions
Alchemy begins when you collect some Orichalcum underground. It can be easily found at the level of 15 or below (same as diamonds) and it is twice as common under the Ocean biome.
After you've collected some, smelt it the furnace into Orichalcum Ingots
and use these to craft Orichalcum Blocks if you need.
WARNING! ORICHALCUM BLOCKS REQUIRE 8 INGOTS AND ARE HOLLOW INSIDE!
All these shiny items are the main raw material used to craft new Alchemical machinery and storage blocks.
These are the recipes and descriptions for the machinery, block and items Alchemy++ has to offer:
Liquid Mixer
This piece of machinery is used to mix together different potions and combine their effects.
Place input potions in first 2 slots of the machine and 2 empty bottles in the output slot.
All you have to do now is to let them through the filter. The result depends on the potions you've used as an input and the quality of the filter.
Essence Extractor
The machine is used to retrieve the essence of the alchemical ingredient and obtain new potion effects from it. Place the input potion in the first input slot and the ingredient in the top slot as well as empty bottle to hold the newly brewed potion.
Now give it some heat with the blaze powder and it is good to go.
Note, that the potion you get as an output is pretty weak, so you will need to work a bit with it before you can actually use it. The recipes for this machine will be discussed later.
Filter
This is the filter used in the Liquid Mixer. Use it with right mouse button to reveal it's properties.
I will leave it up to you to find out what they mean.
Potion Bottle (REQUIRES OAK LOGS)
Storage block for your potions. (Note that it can not hold custom potions because you will rarely get two similar potions from mixing.)
Can hold up to 16 potions in one block. Use your potion (regular or splash) on this block to pour it inside or use an empty bottle on it to get some back. You may also SHIFT+Right click it with an empty hand to drink some.
Block of Flesh
Way of getting one of the alchemical ingredients: festering flesh
Place it in the dark place (do not cover the top) and let it rot for a while.
When the block becomes slightly more green, break it and get your disgusting poisonous flesh. You may try and eat it as well...
Fish Oil Bottle
Bottle for the fish oil - one of the alchemical ingredients. When you've crafted this item, use it with Shift + Right mouse button to consume fish from your inventory and fill the bottle with oil. Note that only the full bottle of fish oil is considered a potion ingredient.
Essence extractor mechanics:
Essence extractor is a complicated machine used to turn raw alchemical material into it's essence for potion brewing.
In order to obtain the desired potion effect from the raw ingredient you HAVE TO use proper potion as a Base. If you don't do so, you will WASTE you ingredient.
You can also use splash versions of the base potions to obtain the splash potions, but you can always apply some gunpowder at the regular brewing stand to get the same effect.
Here are the recipes for the machine:
Night Vision I + Squid's Eye = Blindness
Slowness I + Awkward Feeling = Nausea
Swiftness I + Springy Cord = Jump Boost
Strength I + Iron Powder = Resistance
Poison I + Festering Flesh = Hunger

Alchemical Apparatus and Spirit (version 1.1 content!):
Some of the complicated alchemical Machinery requires other types of fuel than blaze powder.
Spirit (Alcohol or Ethanol) comes into play.
In order to get Spirit you need to ferment the farina, made out of potato.
(I made a HUGE mistake with this. It is supposed to have a bottle in the recipe but I failed. It is going to be changed in the next version...)
After you've crafted the bottle you replenish it with spirit by Shift + Right Clicking.
This process consumes more sugar and farina.
You can also drink some Spirit... Yeah...
Now is the interesting part. Where to use this new Fuel...
The answer is Spirit Lamp!
Well... and Bottle Stand!
And Sprayer!
MUST USE WHITE WOOL!
(By the way, Orichalcum is green because alternativeTextures are enabled in the config...)
These three parts allow you to assemble a machine that sprays the potion placed inside kinda like a beacon, but you are able to use ANY potion there...
You use Spirit Lamp to heat the potion, Bottle Stand to contain the bottle and Sprayer to actually spray it's vapour. (Add some fire with Filnt and Steel)...
Sprayer is effective in the area of 20x20x20 around it. In order for it to start spraying you must heat the potion to the boiling temperature (Which is 373K+). When it starts spraying you (and any nearby entity) starts feeling the potion effect and the potion inside starts to degrade slowly... Play with it a bit and learn how to do it... I am gonna leave you with how to control the thing:
Right Click with any machine part on the empty block: Places new Alchemical Apparatus. Shift + Right Click with any machine part on existing apparatus: Adds Apparatus Part. Left click: snuff out the spirit lamp Flint and Steel right click: light the spiritlamp. Right click: Check the Alchemical Apparatus Status. Shift + Left click: Eject the bottle from the Bottle Stand. Spirit Bottle Shift + Right Click: Refill the SpiritLamp. Break the apparatus: gets back all the salvagable parts...
And the most beautiful part is that the assembling system is EXPANDABLE! So there are more of different machine parts to come! And there are going to be ways of brewing and
mixing potions together with this system.

3) There is hardcore alchemy option in the configuration file. It replaces Gold Nuggets with Gold Ingots in the Glistering melon recipe. (Best experience achieved with naturalRegeneration off)

But I really think all the debuffs are mostly for PvP games and server play. Cause you don't you debuffs on yourself very often, and Nausea is really bad one. Like if you were to prank somebody with these, it would be pretty cruel...)

Fairly interesting concept, but there should be some other ways to obtain said ingredients.
The awkward feeling being reliant on players as an example ain't all that good, other than that great mod.
A full nether star isn't worth just 1 potion of wither(especially when wither is just a better form of poison)
It should be crafted into 18 Star pieces,each used for potions of wither
Suggestions for new effects:
Sadism: Damaging a mob have 50% chance of gaining some health & speed for a quick while,highers chance when hurting players
Ingredient: Kill a hostile mob by hitting it at least 5 times in a row without it hurting you once
Vitamin: Boost hunger saturation depending on level of potion
Ingredient: Break a giant mushroom with a wooden sword enchanted with fire aspect
Clear: Removes all potions effects,lasts for awhile
Ingredient: Kill a cow with a bucket while under the effects of 3 or more potion effects
Pheremone: Holding the bottle draws animals to you,as you hold it,the concoction starts to deteriate & dissapear
Ingredient: Break a natural flower while having 20 levels on you with a blaze rod(levels are spent)
A full nether star isn't worth just 1 potion of wither(especially when wither is just a better form of poison)

It totally is worth it because getting one potion is just the beginning. You are able to place the wither effect on your other potions with liquid mixer once you've got just one.
As to the suggestions. I like the ideas of Vitamin and Clearing. Pheromone is not going to be useful since we've got Leads nowadays and Sadism seems more like an Enchantment than a potion... We'll see.. I am working my way in a little different direction right now but I will take a note of what you have suggested. Thank you for that

Great! I be testing it with Metallurgy! Also, the Beacon alternative is quite nice I think. A Fermenter block to ferment the potatoes (and perhaps other stuff like Wheat and Carrots) would be nicer than crafting (and harder).
If Spirit is practically Alcohol/Ethanol, why not name it Ethanol in the Forge Liquid Dictionary (if it isn't already) for Forestry compatibility?

I plan on adding some other way to get spirit than crafting, that is just temporary measure.
And I am not using forge Ore Dictionary for Ethanol because I don't like most tech mods, since (imho) they are breaking minecraft feeling. I am trying to develop my mod in such a way that preserves it and prevents minecraft from feeling whole new game. I'd like to keep it that way and make my mod playable on it's own, without any tech mods.
I would like to (in future updates for machinery and stuff) minimize user's interaction with machines through the GUIs and add more to make the Alchemy feel like it's practical chemistry. (it is going to include assembling of the machines from scratch, manual replacement of things in the machine without accessing the GUI, external tools for measuring stuff's state and POSSIBLY cross-block operations. So there is some work to be done.)
