Hi there! I don't know if I should be posting here or not. But I just saw your mod, and really interested in using it for a server I'm making. I'm very new to this, so I don't know exactly what I'm supposed to do.
I've been collecting 1.7.2 mods to use for my server, and I see this is only 1.6x (though I believe you're working on a 1.7.2 at the moment). I'd really like to use this one, since I can't for the life of me understand how to use MCPC+.
So my question is can I use this mod, or any mod that's 1.6.4/1.6x on a server that's 1.7.2/1.7x? Or, vice versa, can you use 1.7x mods on a 1.6x version server?

I just added a second question to the poll. It is for the town rank system. Currently in MyTown players can be defined as residents, assistants, and mayors. In MyTown 2 I would like the rank system to allow more customization, however I am unsure how to add it.
So, would you like it to be fully server defined where you define each of the ranks and what commands and things they can do?
Or, a Factions style system where servers define default ranks and towns can define others and what commands and things they can do?

Lego there's a serious issue with the mod Pneumaticraft, I don't know if you can fix it in the current release of mytown but we would really appreciate if your could!
When a player opens the inventory of any block from this mod the server crashes with the following report:
how does the " mytown.res.blocks " suppose to work ? - mytown.res.blocks.5 does nothing. mytown.res.5 does nothing
Its adds the specified blocks to the town per resident. I believe it is a multiplier and not a set amount, so 5x not +5. Pretty sure this has been covered a few times in the thread and in the op. It is a setting not a command.
First, if you are using group manager remove pex, and get the forge perms without pex. You are going to have issues if you have 2 perms systems running, IDK where you heard you needed another but that was defiantly bad information. As I use Groupmanager on MCPC+, here is a copy of my perms, edit as needed. If you are using group manager then you ignore the permissions.yml.
If you are running a MCPC+ server, you should use a bukkit permission plugin (bPermissions, GroupManager, Permissions 3, PEX, etc) otherwise you may not be able to access commands. This is a limitation of MCPC+.
I've seen conflicting info on forums so don't know if this means "Use ForgePerms WITH GM" or "Use GM instead of FP" or what.

Been having an issue with my Dynmap chat not showing up, I think the Mytown chat is now interfering with it, did something change when the chat logging was added? Mytown is the only plugin I have that effects chat.
NVM, it was a bugged version of Dynmap, latest version fixed it. Still can't see in game chat in console, though I can now see dynmap chat in the console...
Thanks HaoSs. Got it worked out!Chunk claiming would be best because at least you can see where borders might be. With region, there's no way to tell where one region ends.

I am so confused at this point - I'd really like to run MyTown+ForgePermsWithPex+ModifyWorld2(with lib) and not get crashes, login issues with the most basic of permissions, or whatever else - AND be able to run pex command from command blocks with operators
I can't seem to find a combination of them all that works.. =(
First I would like to apologize if it has already been answered here.
I want to know how to claim half plot for roads.
I looked on google and did several searches on the forum but could not find the command for that.
Any help is appreciated.

Your mod is THE replacement for Towny for those of us who no longer use Bukkit/MCPC+...I'd hate to be without it, as there is nothing else out there that every user can manage themselves in game.
A quick question for anybody who might know; is there a comprehensive list of the basic Minecraft command nodes as seen by ForgePerms? For some reason, MyTown works fine, ForgePerms works fine, most vanilla commands work fine, but /me is unusable unless you have *. It's driving me crazy as I can't find the node for it anywhere, and everything on web searches is MCPC+ or Bukkit-only; and minecraft.command.me doesn't work either (nor does ee.lutsu.alpha.mc.mytown.commands.CmdEmote ). Any help would be much appreciated!
(Side note: A 'dump all possible nodes' command would be incredibly useful, if there isn't one already that I can't find.)

You are one of many that doesn't understand the difference between Vanilla/Bukkit/Forge...Towny runs on Bukkit NOT Vanilla.
MCPC+ is Bukkit+Forge, and I stopped using it awhile ago after using it since it's inception, because it will NEVER be stable enough due to mashing two very different server implementations together.
Commend the team doing it, but I cannot use it anymore and I don't care for bukkit's plugins, they can all be done in Forge.
As much as I like legobear's mod, Towny is ahead of it in most ways...and on MCPC+, I'd still be using it.

I'm trying to work out this permissions thing.
I have MyTown installed and ForgePerms with Pex on MCPC+
I also have GroupManager as the instructions say to have another perms manager on MCPC+
I'm on Linux
For MyTown permissions, do I add them to ~/permissons.yml or GroupManager/globalgroups.yml or ~/configs/permissions.yml ?
Do I add permissions to two places? One place? I've tried many combinations but my default players still cannot access most commands.
