Hi Legobear, thanks for keeping this Mod alive, it's such a great mod!
I too am having issues with allowing normal members using any of the /t commands such as /t accept, /t new etc. (I am using MCPC+, with bukkit essentials, and group manager).
Also an issue I've noticed, that i'm not sure has been bought to your attention, even with all 3 PVP options in config set to false, I am able to pvp nonmembers regardless of whether they are standing inside or outside of my town, while I am standing in the protection of my town. I can use my hand, bows, mining laser, and probably most other items, but that's all I have tested with. I do hope this is not intentional, but can live with it regardless.
Two mods I might suggest adding, Quarry Plus (BC quarry's and miners just quicker) and Extra Utilities. The Ender quarry has the ability to bypass protections and steal everything, quite quickly too!
Thanks again for a greatly enhanced town protection, and do hope you continue to add more improvements and protections.

TycoonGT: Commands can also be accessed with /town and /mytown. I will have to go through the original post to find the way around the issue. I will have to check the 3 PVP options and make sure they are being used. I will look into adding support for those 2 mods
So, I figure everyone should know. I have decided to start rewriting MyTown.
The new MyTown will be made up of multiple modules each providing different features. There will be the Core which will have everything needed by the other modules, the "Town" module which will have the actual town implementation, the Chat module which will have the chat formatting, chat channels, and a regex based chat filter, then the Extras which will hold the teleportation commands and some other small things. More modules will probably come in the future.
MyTown 2 will target 1.6 at first, but once done will be ported to 1.7.
MyTown doesn't seem to protect against portal guns picking up items (pressing G). Is this a known issue and are there plans to fix this in the near future?
Hey legobear, I was wondering if you could implement something similar to logblock into mytown. Ive noticed that logblock can be a pain to set up (at least for me), and it would be cool if mytown just had a logging feature. If it is already implemented and im just too stupid to notice, pls let me know asap.
Ok I've really, really, really, really tried to get this working.
I'm running MCPC+, MyTownBeta6, ForgePermsNOPEX1.6.1.8BETA,ForgePermsCBBridge1.1.16BETA, Vault. I have MyTownLib in the mods folder. I'm also running bukkit PEX.
If I have a usergoup with the permission - '*', they can do everything in the world with all permissions just fine. I understand why that works.
And then I have a few questions as to why nothing is working for anyone other than -'*'
1) When I load my server, it says it's loading VaultPerms as the Permissions manager. Does that mean it's not using my PEX or anything? I thought the CB bridge was supposed to link PEX and ForgePerms. I guess I'm not sure what is going on here.
2) When I try to autofill the commands as a Member, I type / TAB and it just disconnects me. If I'm Admin with - '*' node the autofill works. Not sure this is even the right thread for that one, just something I noticed.
3) No one can do anything as a member. Nothing. I don't get where I'm going wrong in the permissions files. I've tried so many different things, but nothing is working.
Any help at all would be swell. I was just using Forge before with MyTown and it worked perfectly. I wanted to use ClearLag, which is a bukkit plugin, so I went and got MCPC+. Ever since using MCPC+, all I have had is problems with permissions.

1) CB Bridge uses Vault to connect to any Bukkit permission plugin that has support.

I wrote NOPEX instead of WITHOUTPEX sorry... I am using without pex.
ender quarry ( extra utilities mod ) this on must be added asap its the friendliest server quarry you can find ( only loads 2 chunks at a time and replaces broke blocks with dirt ! ) if you can and this fast. you are my HERO !
I also have some items that bypasses protection. i will post a list once i;m done testing. but those to are top priority for any server to have as protection !
Protection against the EnderQuarry i feel is not needed. Keep in mind that a player has to place fences and mark a border. Before it actually functions. If there is no fence border (IE the player can't place fences to begin with in the town) then the quarry won't function.
Lego is there anyway you can throw protection against the Sacred Rubber Tree Sapling from MFR? It is a incredibly destructive block that causes nothing but trouble.

strange maybe this should be reported to RWTema. The ender quarry is a mining machine designed to be a better choice on servers. Perhaps he should add support for the quarry to only look for blocks that are in the oredictionary like natural blocks. it seems like a hassle to have to protect against such levels of grief. I understand where you are coming from. But before anti-grief is established. Maybe speak with the mod author of the offending mod first. If you present your findings i'm sure RWTema can fix it easily.

As for the ender quary, I can add support. But, it would be easier if RWTema adds the BlockBreakEvent to the ender quary, that way MyTown can stop it easier
My head hurts trying to get this to work, so I'm looking for some help.
This is my setup:
FTB Monster 1.0.9 server
Latest MCPC+
Essentials GroupManager for permissions, along with Vault.
I installed ForgePerms-WithoutPEX, MyTown, and MyTownLibs in the mods folder.
I put the CBBridge plugin in my plugins folder.
Everything loads and works. However, I can't get it to give permissions for any /town commands unless I'm OP.
I am using the Essentials group "builder". I gave this group mytown.* permissions so they should be able to do everything, but they can't do anything. This makes me believe the CBBridge isn't bridging the GroupManager permissions into the ForgePerms mod.
Thanks for the reply. I tried your perms but it's still denying me. I verified my group is "Builder" and stuff I add to globalgroups.yml is working as expected. The mods all load, as does the CBbridge plugin. It says it's using VaultPerms and Vault is loaded and working. I am not finding anything wrong in my configuration of it, so I'm scratching my head a little. I guess I'll just switch to OP mode when I want to do MyTown stuff.

Ok first let me say thanks for all the hard work on keeping this updated and making the plugin and mod to use bukkit permission systems.
I have ran into a issue that I cant seem to solve, I have everything working however mytown is looking for permssions from forge AND bukkit, since I use pex in bukkit at first I was not concerned just figured I would copy the permissions.yml and have one in the plugins folder and one in the config folder, howerver, the issue is everytime I premote someone I have to update the forge permissions file. This is only a issue due to donator ranks that automatically get apply from votifier.
I was hoping I am doing something wrong and this is a simple fix. I have confirmed though that both permission files must have nodes for mytown in order for the mod to work. Thank you for taking the time to look at this and for helping me with this issue!
Update: Nope, adding the nodes had no effect.
