Well hello people of the universe. Today I have brought an AWESOME mod. This mod is a shader mod which works with either the 1.5.2 shader mod or the 1.6 shader mod. What is a shader mod you may ask? A shader mod is a mod that adds shades to your minecraft. Featuring light beams, waving plants, shadows, and much more!
What does my shaderpack feature:
*Sun beams
*Glowing rays producing from the sun.
*Glowing light producing from the moon.
*Good looking water
Picture/Images: Not at the moment. I'm using 1.6 and I don't know how to install mods for 1.6. If you could post some images in the comments I will use them.
Installation: (1.5.2) *Open your start *Type %appdata% in the search bar *Open your roaming folder *Find your .minecraft folder *Find the bin folder inside .minecraft *Open minecraft.jar with winrar or 7zip *Delete the minecraft.jar *Open up the folder minecraft.jar that you just created with winrar/7zip *Find the folder Meta-Inf and delete it *Download the shaders mod from here: http://www.minecraft...ed-by-karyonix/
*Drag all the .class files from the shaders mod into your minecraft.jar folder *Now start minecraft *If you go to options and see a shaders option you installed it. *Now drag my shaders mod folder into the shaders.
Installation: (1.6) *Open your start *Goto %appdata% *Goto .minecraft *Goto versions folder *Duplicate the 1.6.2 folder (Or whatever your using) *Rename the 1.6.2 Copy to 1.6.2.mod *Open it and open the .json and where it says ID change it to "1.6.2.mod" *Now rename the .json to 1.6.2.mod.json *Open the .jar with WinRar or 7zip and drag all the .class files from Kyonix's Mod into the .jar *Drag all the .class from Forge into the .jar *DON'T DELETE META-INF (FORGE REPLACES IT) *Now rename the .jar into 1.6.2.mod.jar
YOU SHOULD HAVE: *A folder called 1.6.2.mod *Inside it a 1.6.2.mod.jar *And a 1.6.2.mod.json with the ID as 1.6.2.mod
*Open Minecraft *Goto Options and find Shaders *Drag my shaderpack folder in the shaders folder
Because out of the 24 files in your shaderpack, only 5 are different to SEUS v10 RC7 Ultra shaders. These are:
gbuffers_textured.fsh
gbuffers_textured_lit.fsh
gbufferse_textured_lit.vsh
gbuffers_water.fsh
gbuffers_water.vsh
The rest of the files are all identical. Perhaps I'm not understanding the shaders technology correctly. No offense intended, please forgive my ignorance if all shaderpacks are supposed to have lots of identical files.

Yes, most shaderpacks are supposed to have a lot of identical files, and some have extras. I have most of the normal based ones like the g_buffers.vsh, but your correct I did add some that many don't use. But most shaderpacks are identical.
That's interesting. Are those base files some kind of most basic set of stuff needed to even have shaders active?
Are they like a template provided by perhaps NVidia? I've always wondered why Mojang doesn't just build stuff like shaders into their official version. Is it that difficult to build in? I mean it can be done as a mod, then surely they can do it at Mojang as well?
I've been waiting for OptiFine and the GLSL shader base mod for 1.6.1 and started wondering why they don't incorporate these things already.

Yes most of the files are basic needs for the shader mod to work. And yes Mojang should add all of this, if they have over 100+ people working at Mojang and a mod is made by 1-5 people Mojang should be able to do it
Here is a REALLY simple way to install mods for 1.6+, use Magic Launcher and press Setup

The thing thats going through my head most of the time whenever im bored is: How would a dolphin taste like? How would it be? Bitter or Sweet? Or just plain crap <_<. But when ever im in the zone whats going through my head is: Man, it would be realllly bad if a duck just came out of that stove and you know... Jump me. But sadly that never happened :,(
The manual way to install mods in 1.6 is:
1. go into .minecraft
2. find and open the folder "versions"
3. open the version you want
4. copy both the .jar and .json
5. go back to versions and make a new folder MOD
6. paste both the files in it
7. rename them both MOD
8. open the .json in any text editor and find "id" and change it to "id: mod"
9. open the .jar and delete META-INF
10. install mods
Thank you sycoinc for explaining everything. Sry I haven't been on. Yes I made the files, but the shaders mod I didn't make. I just made the add-on mod.
Inside the versions folder make a copy of the folder that you want to mod. (i. e. 1.5.2, 1.6.2)
Rename the folder to something else like "1.6.2 Modded" or "Shader's Mod".
Inside the folder rename the .jar file and .json file to whatever you named the folder itself.
Open the .jar with WinRaR or 7-Zip, and mod it like you would in 1.5.
Open the .json file with NotePad or Textpad (for Mac)
Save your changes.
Exit out and go into the launcher. Create a new profile and in the editing screen where it says Version, one version will be called whatever you renamed the folder to. Choose that one and if all goes well your mod will be installed!!!

they won't add it because not every computer can support it and it would ruin minecraft for the people on Intel HD Graphics
WE KNOW HOW TO INSTALL MODS he means he doesn't know how to add the shaderpack in 1.6 beacause it base mod hasn't come out yet
they won't add it because not every computer can support it and it would ruin minecraft for the people on Intel HD Graphics
that doesn't make any sense. For the computers using basic intel hd graphics the current graphics options set to max will suffice. but to say they wont add a feature to enhance the look of minecraft because it wont work on those computers is ridiculous. The wonderful thing about options is the fact that you, as an individual, can turn on and off anything you so choose. I for one would absolutely love to have all these shader mods implemented in the base design so that the game can run on high end pc as well as low end with the proper amount of optimization of course. if your computer cant handle it. leave it at the basic settings, and if your running dx11 graphics cards there should be an option to utilize these graphics without having to update a mod everytime a new version comes out. thats just my opinion. just saying.

"Yeah I do." "Oh."
he made the shader PACK not the actual mod for it... the PACK is basically the visual files needed for the mod to use to make things look sexy
Go to your .minecraft folder > versions folder.
Inside the versions folder make a copy of the folder that you want to mod. (i. e. 1.5.2, 1.6.2)
Rename the folder to something else like "1.6.2 Modded" or "Shader's Mod".

Yup
Come on over.
