Now how do I install Optifine? The Optifine installer creates it's own profile. I tried putting it in the mods folder as well as copying the files to the 1.8 version jar that LiteLoader's json says it inherits. Still nothing. I can't get Ellian's Material Detector to work either which is to be installed into the jar.
Just thought I'd let you know that the installer and web site don't exactly handle enlarged font sizes quite right.
I'm using this setting in Windows 7:
I'm using the following setting in Chrome:

The following is a screen shot of the web site (notice the left menu):
I know that my settings are a bit abnormal, but I've been having some vision problems lately and have had to increase the font size in order to see things.
Also, I used to run Minecraft on my Windows Media Center PC, connected to a 42" TV at 10+ feet away. I don't any longer, but when I was, I ran with very similar settings simply because using Windows Media Center at a 10' experience with Windows in default font mode is nearly unreadable to anyone. Even on a 42" monitor... So these issues would likely be present for anyone in that circumstance as well.
A simple tweak to the CSS for the web site should prevent the left menu from overlapping the links at the bottom.
I can't figure out how to put LL into my modpack - I tried pulling the "liteloader-1.7.10.jar" out of the installer file and dumping the contents into my Forge "modpack.jar" but the game just crashed. It DOES work with Forge by itself though. Help plz?
Firstly, I do know 'development builds' are not supported - but I've been using the 'Liteloader-installer-1.8.0-00-Snapshot' version for a while (& not had 'much' problems with it... yet)
Secondly, I also know we are not suppose to ask 'when x.xx version is out'
But I was wondering what the developer plans gonna be.. is he gonna develop a 1.8.3, wait until 1.9 is out, or until the offical API etc etc is out (although most probably he's too busy IRL atm )

I'll be making a 1.8.3 release as/when MCP is available. There won't be a release for 1.8, the snapshots are it.
There are some things that us modders can look forward to in 1.8.3. Mainly generics, inner classes, and exceptions. They were not cleared by proguard; thank Grum.
Holy crap I can't believe this worked. I just took the jar for the 1.8 version of liteloader and inserted it into my mods folder, and next thing I knew voxelmap, which is a litemod, worked just fine! I didn't even need to install liteloader or anything! To reiterate, I used forge to run liteloader. Will this have any unintended side effects?
Nope. This is one of the intended ways to install LiteLoader. You can also load Forge with LiteLoader by putting it in your versioned mods folder (mods/1.8). It works the same way as Optifine.
Thanks SirBarclay - I will look for the Chicken next time I fire it up...
Okay, I have 3 Profiles (Forge, Hwy101, LiteLoader); but, for JourneyMap & Jabba, I need the Forge Profile...
I put Jabba jar & the JourneyMap jar in the Mods folder -But, still no Jabba or JourneyMap...
<sigh>
Obviously something is wrong; but, I have no idea what...
I'm on 1.8.
I installed LiteLoader so I can use Voxel Map.

It obviously doesn't. I placed the .jar in the mods folder and I didn't see any Optifine settings when I started. And what about Ellian's?
On 1.7.10, all my mods are loading and none are in the 1.7.10...
Why does everyone says to put them there?

That's because they are litemods. Only tweak mods like optifine or shaders need to go in the versioned mods folder.

Heck, it seems I have bigger problems: I got NO Chicken at all.
But, LiteLoader says it Installed...
Would the Launch Log Help with figuring this out?
Please teach me how to change skins with this mod installed because my skin isnt there anymore when i installed this mod
PLEASe anyone help me
Did the 1.8 Snapshot for LiteLoader -Still No Chicken <sigh> Also I note that Forge is NOT allowing me to choose which version to Run.
Thoughts Please...
Thanks
Okay, Update: I GOT the VoxelMap! (Yeah!); but, still NO CHICKEN!
I am giving the Map a Run -at this point, Glad to have 1 of the 3...
Chicken is a bad way of describing it. It should be a tab in the top right corner of the main menu, which when hovered, shows a chicken.

Thanks Killjoy - I finally found that out - Now I have the 'Chicken!'
Now to get Jabba working and see about the Soft-Bag someone was talking about...
