That's really quite disappointing, but if you don't have time, you don't have time. I play with a lot of mods and I'd rather wait until they've updated, so I suppose I'll have to do without for now. Thanks for the answer though.
That would be nice too; It is not that hard; the hard part is to understand how the mod works; java is pure class, and mod authors often code different from one to another;
But i think that this author would not like to have someone else maintaining his code/share his code with a stranger; Makes sense, but makes me sad because i feel powerless and cannot help in anyway;
Actually you can. Offering to backport a new release to 1.6.4 will solve me from doing it myself, therefore saving me a lot of time. I do not have the mod set up on github but I can do that. Thanks for offering.
The great news is that I have fixed the other bugs people have been reporting (the gravity lift, light bridge linking, etc.) and it works a whole lot better. Another update for 1.7.2 is imminent, and once I do, I can set up github for you. I'll create your own special branch for you to work on.
I don't want everyone modifying my code though, so I will set up the permissions just right for you to modify.
Thanks for understanding. If I wasn't at the stage in school I am now, I would have a lot more time. The International Baccalaureate diploma keeps one very busy
I am still quite pleased though that people do not want to do without my mod in the backport. That means a lot to me, and also indicates that my mod is one of the good mods out in the community.
All is not lost though, RalphFox volunteered to backport the latest version for me, which will save me a lot of time, and make everyone happy at the same time.

At least kris can focus on developing further/fixing bugs while i try to do the backport.
Along with many improvements and bugfixes, it includes linked bridges, animated textures, and a re-done gravity lift!

Thank you for your patience. I now believe that all of the reported major bugs have been fixed, but they still might pop up. If you happen to find the same bugs, or any new ones, do not hesitate to report it.
If you haven't read other comments, RalphFox is working on a backport for me as I do not have the time to do so. I do not know how he is getting on with though.
Big feature request: a power cost. dont know how big a job it would to add but a upkeep of power (RF) for this would be great as a config option.

Reconfigure your block id's. The configuration file is located in the config folder in the .minecraft directory.
