If this mod works I can see it becoming a fantastic mod, although you'll need something to prevent people from selling items added with an internal or external inventory editor before anyone would really use it without considering it cheating. I'm assuming it does not work on multiplayer? I'll definitely keep an eye on this.

Thanks and ya I have it so you can't use this with NEI, TMI, in creative, or with commands on, but obviously there are other ways to get around it which I will get to after people give feedback, I actually had this in WIP mods but there weren't enough people testing I because no one looks at WIP so I moved I here.

Very good love the features in this mod! (Trading and stuff) but yeah I love it!
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Help me! The evil is taking me away,
its pulling me into the darkness.
Please help me, if I go in there
I will never come back, the world
is slowly drifting away. All I can
see is the pain and sorrow in my
eyes. My tears are drying up. I'm
already gone....
in the video you said that you can sell and buy items from a database: you mean that all who have the mod installed are connected each other and if i want to use the mod i need to connect to internet ?
Lol I said that by accident, my programmer peaked through, the database is like a server that stores variables, the language is called MySql so while you are connected to the Internet you are not connected to eachother, only to the server, connecting all of you to eachother is a lot harder and people could exploit it so MySQL is a lot safer.
It should, I forgot to mention in the video that if you search a modded item and you don't have it of its a different Id on the sellers client then it is on yours it will show up but it will show up as a red x
ChaneLog:
* Fixed a bug that would cause you to crash if clicked cancel without selecting an offer to cancel.
* Made it so you can't use the mod in super flat land
1. Will mod items work with the exchange system
2. Is there a main page list where the items that are recently put on displayed
3. Is there an average price option
4. Will you look into setting up categories based on the items you are looking for instead of just searching
5. How do you earn credits in the first place
6. Is there any issues that you could see happening on public servers

1. It should, but as they're modded and some mods have text files where you can change the IDs, if you search for say... a thauminomicon and the seller id was 3002 and you have it set as 3001, it will show the item but the image will be a red x
2. I'm making an add on to my website so that you can search stuff by using wildcards (ex. st* would return every item that starts with st)
3. no but i might add it
4. that's what the website db search is going to be
5. upon signing up you get 200 credits, might increase it to 1000
6. single player only
The idea is fun, but anti-cheat is completely unfeasible. Consider how easy it is to cheat with making your own mod.
Modded item ID restriction and no enchantment restrictions seem arbitrary. You could use NBT data to store all item parameters, and get modded items by their internal names and mod IDs.
Also, with no way to get credits aside from being a new user, if you ever get to zero credits, you are stuck with it forever.
As for industrial business companies. This mod is a must for players who want more money and exchange for different items. I'm still missing the point from technical mods (Industrial-Craft 2, Buildcraft, etc) about selling objects for money and buy different stuff.
It is more like equivalent exchange 3 but more "industrical" like.
As the problem with cheats for getting money. In singleplayer creative/cheats (include NEI's toomanyitems, chickencode's not-enough-item) (no internet connection), how about a default type of exchange (means it cannot transmit your stuff to internet but immediately give you credits and cannot merge with online-able account that you have been created).
Useful if they want to regenerate the item without wasting time putting in chests manually for production. (I could not find any good auto transfer exchanger mod other than EE2 outdated and EE3 WIP but not automatic.)

yea I know the anti cheat system in place right now sucks, and it can't stop everything but I'm sure a person that wants to play legit knows what price looks realistic. An I'm not sure i get what you're saying. I use a SQL database to store all the items and sql only takes primitive data types. and you get credits by selling stuff.

I did not know that problem existed, I will, try and see if i can fix it. and you can't use NEI, TMI, single player cheats, or creative mod when using this mod
If I cheat and fill the database with all items priced at 1, your market is gone.
> I'm sure a person that wants to play legit knows what price looks realistic.
And will buy an item for a higher price just for the sake of realism? Uh, great.
> I'm not sure i get what you're saying. I use a SQL database to store all the items and sql only takes primitive data types
I'm sure you can store Minecraft NBT data describing the item fully in your SQL database as a binary blob or a string.
Well it is impossible to get rid of all ways a person can cheat as if they know how to program they could easily make a new mod that will do the same as NEI or TMI. and i am not that advanced yet to know how to do that but i will look it up
