i think the explanation on many of your items is to thoroughly, it should not say exactly what it does just give it a hint, thats what normal thaumcraft does.
also i am feeling that the research for the items have a bit to few symbold, some of the more advanced items should maby have some more symbols.

To be honest I am not sure what is causing this as I have 2 thaumic addons (thaumic tinkerer and thaumic bees) to my minecraft but all the thaumic armor recipes are switched around like I for the leggins in my wand section and wand where the leggings should be. I am not 100% sure which mod interactions is causing this so I am posting this to both topics as both add things into the thaumnomicon.
In the thaumcraft thread that was reported before I had made this mod. It's also been reported there to be a GregTech bug.
Actually, I have the same bug. And I've never installed GregTech (Specifically because it causes a lot of issues with other mods) So unless it's a GregTech API in Thaumcraft, then it's not GregTech causing the issue.

The fluxometer isn't working for me, either.
I have Forge 7.8.0.688, Optifine 1.5.2 HD U D2, Rei's minimap, Damage Indicators, Balkon's Weapon Mod, Twilight Forest, and NEI.
My money's on Optifine causing the issue, because I have a lot of weird rendery bugs that aren't really important.
I'll do a .log hunt later and see if I can't see any relevant error messages.
also my fluxometer doesn't work, I entered my testing world, threw stacks of items into a crucible and was still blank.
but something I saw was some sort of beacon ray comming out of the node into the ground, like it was being moved by the core, but was just for a split of second and it didn't move.

This mod is surprisingly well done. Not a huge fan of the duplicator thing though. Is there any way to configure a multiple of essences for things to cost? It seems like there should be some loss there - magic is never free, unless you're playing EE, I guess.
Anyways, guess I'll download it and take a look at the configs myself. Hoping it's adjustable - if I was going to put this on my server, I would personally want the costs of fabricating something to be like three or four times as expensive, essence wise, as what the item is composed of, heh.
It's cool that you can see the aspects of the flux now. Are there any plans to utilize those aspects when they're already part of the local aura? For instance, pulling the aspects back into warded jars.
Another thing you could do is make aspect-specific flux effects like spawning a giant horde of spiders if there's too much insect in the aura or random fire patches breaking out anywhere where the ignis is too high.
Because Smokey Quartz has no real practical uses I am going to suggest some ideas:
1) Adding a reversed/negative daylight decetor made with Smokey Quartz
2) Adding armour/tool sets for both Smokey Quartz and vanilla Quartz.
Currently there are 2 items that use smokey quartz aside from the blocks of course, i like the idea of the night detector or moonlight detector as chaosenatic called it, but i dont think we need smokey quartz tools.

The Transmutator has a base cost multiplier of 4 so anything u try to make will cost 4 times what you would get from it along with some vis from the local aura.
I hope nothing happens with the transmutator please Vazkii, for me it's absolutely fine and i'm sure it's ok for many others. Multiplying the aspect by 4 is a good thing and the vis cost is also fine (incidentally Nukularpower mentions that the cost is free, magic is never free. Did you read the Thaumonomicon on how this item works at all?)
17 vis or whatever is hardly a cost It just seems like it would be a good option for server admins, to be able to set the cost of use really really high.. versus just banning the block, which is what I would do now if I installed this. It's not just me "not using it" that I am talking about, and I fail to see how having that option would hurt you at all. Also, it would be a good reason to go through the process of building up a big aura node, if the cost was up there.
But anyways, glad to see that you can indeed disable it if you want. So awesome, definately looking forward to getting back into research, heh.

I have Forge 7.8.0.688, Optifine 1.5.2 HD U D2, Rei's minimap, Damage Indicators, Balkon's Weapon Mod, Twilight Forest, and NEI.
My money's on Optifine causing the issue, because I have a lot of weird rendery bugs that aren't really important.
I'll do a .log hunt later and see if I can't see any relevant error messages.
Option settings: Have tried nearly every possible combination in the options.
Mods: Thaumcraft and Thaumcraft Tinkerer (obviously), Iron Chests, Ender Storage, Twilight Forest, Zan's Minimap, and NEI

but something I saw was some sort of beacon ray comming out of the node into the ground, like it was being moved by the core, but was just for a split of second and it didn't move.
I support the moonlight detector thing, but I don't think need more armor/tool sets.
Anyways, guess I'll download it and take a look at the configs myself. Hoping it's adjustable - if I was going to put this on my server, I would personally want the costs of fabricating something to be like three or four times as expensive, essence wise, as what the item is composed of, heh.
Another thing you could do is make aspect-specific flux effects like spawning a giant horde of spiders if there's too much insect in the aura or random fire patches breaking out anywhere where the ignis is too high.
Currently there are 2 items that use smokey quartz aside from the blocks of course, i like the idea of the night detector or moonlight detector as chaosenatic called it, but i dont think we need smokey quartz tools.
The Transmutator has a base cost multiplier of 4 so anything u try to make will cost 4 times what you would get from it along with some vis from the local aura.
17 vis or whatever is hardly a cost It just seems like it would be a good option for server admins, to be able to set the cost of use really really high.. versus just banning the block, which is what I would do now if I installed this. It's not just me "not using it" that I am talking about, and I fail to see how having that option would hurt you at all. Also, it would be a good reason to go through the process of building up a big aura node, if the cost was up there.
But anyways, glad to see that you can indeed disable it if you want. So awesome, definately looking forward to getting back into research, heh.
