I just ran into a severe problem with forge multipart. When placing the microblocks they "place" but are invisible, with no bounding box. Even deleting the mod and all dependent mods didn't remove the invisible blocks. I couldn't remove them in creative either. I finally resorted to TNT, which did work. This left an incredible mess to clean up though, rebuilding everything that was affected by removing mods to try to repair the problem, and the hole in my land left from the TNT.
As far as I can see, Forge multipart is not supposed to be required to use TT, but it won't run without it, so I have no choice but to reinstall multipart if I want TT, and I do. Is it possible to remove the dependency? I would like not to reinstall multipart, as I am quite angry that the issue with that still is not fixed.
Had the same problem myself. It's an ID conflict that doesn't crash the game, so it can be hard to figure out. If you use NEI do an item/block id dump and find the forge multipart ID. It will probably be nested in the middle of another mods ids. you'll need to edit the config file and change the id to one of the empty numbers from the dump.
Just a small request: Gaseous Illuminae has lots of aspects in it's crucible recipe and as such making the stuff in bulk is a pain. Could the aspects be changed to 8 on all the aspects? 8 is still a good amount of aspects for what it dose. I could always use those 16 torches currently needed to cover a much larger area anyway. If this is changed then don't forget to change Gaseous Tenebrae to match.

Thank you, that fixed it. Oddly enough, I checked through all the configs and adjusted the item IDs to avoid conflicts, and assumed that as it didn't crash the block IDs were fine. Guess not.
Considering that the osmotic enchanter is a type of evil altar thingy, I think it would make sense if there were special enchantments that you could only obtain through the enchanter. Additionally adding the ability to remove, add, or strengthen enchantments with it would make it worthwhile as well.
I don't find the osmotic enchanter too easy if you look at how much work it is to put the whole thing together. you first have to get the research for it, then you need to collect the resources which includes travelling through the world finding the obsidian totems and pillars. if you're lucky you can find an altar. if you've collected all that, you then have to craft the osmotic enchanted, which isn't a simple task either, and when you've crafted that, you need to set it up. and then you've only just put it together, you haven't even used it yet.
to use it you need tons of aspects, which means getting alot of nodes set up in your base, which in turn also takes quite some research as you'll need the best wand for it. and even then you can't constantly enchant unless you spend even more time getting more nodes in your base to recharge your wands continuously.
actually the way how Azanor is planning on doing seems too easy for me, as it doesn't really require any additional gathering of items or settings things up. sure, you need mana beans, but just find some pechs (if you've Twilight Forest installed, try going to the Enchanted Forest, they pretty much rule that whole biome) and kill them, you don't even need to trade with them to get some mana beans. and if you don't get the mana bean you need? not a problem, just find a magic forest biome, or plant a silverwood and let it turn that chunk into a magic forest biome and just keep replanting that mana bean over and over till you get the mana bean you need. it's still a bit of work, but for me it isn't as much as work as the osmotic enchanter
infusion enchanting still requires grinding for xp though. and there is the item requirement for the individual enchantments. diamonds for fortune for example.
extra research is required for both methods.
either way, i didnt find building up the osmotic enchanter too hard. i just ran in one direction with a wand of equal trade in my hand and and a stack of dirt in my backpack and gathered the totems in less than 15 minutes.
the pillars are not too uncommon.
the manabeans require an actual farm to set up, before you have enough for frequent enchanting imo. on the other hand you could argue, that you already need a bunch of nodes in your home for the osmotic enchanter.
i just think both methods are individually useful. the infusion enchanting for most vanilla enchants, and the osmotic enchanter definitely worth for thaumic tinkerer enchants.
Thaumic Tinkerer is a spiritual successor to my Elemental Tinkerer mod, this is a mod about tinkering with thaumic creations. It;s an addon to azanor;s Thaumcraft 4. The intention is to add new, and useful items you can create, using the knowledge you've acquired from the vanilla thaumcraft researches. Researches that come from this mod are prefixed as [TT] for easy labelling.
so, i know you have problems with your laptop right now, but ill still leave this here, because i feel it would fit your mod. you said, you planned on a barrel type storage for thaumcraft at one point. such a storage would really be useful imo.
how about greatwood and silverwood barrels, similar to the ones from factorization?
Hello everyone, to start off, apologies for the lack of recent updates regarding my money situation, or any updates in general in this thread.
As is, I've collected a sum of 376€ from both donations and last month's adfly paycheck. I am trying to go for a total of 400€ right now. For those who are not aware of my status, or would like to leave a donation (thanks!), you can read the section in downloads in the OP or have a read on the post on my website.
I'm nearly there, though!
Wow! Almost there!
I'm curious, what would you say the average donation would be? Well, that's a lie. I'm not curious, I just want to compare my donation to everyone elses.

This is a long idea, but please hear me out:
If you build 2 (two) Thaumic Luck Tinker Tables (lots of possible recipes are not included, as I do not even no if you are interested, but I can provide them later if you wish), put them together on the floor, Tap it with your Thaumic Tinker (level, i.e adept) Wand, add Thamic Luck Tinker's Scrolls and Thuamic Luck Tinker Tools and Vola! Now you hunt for the element/essentia: Tinker’s Luck or . (the ancient, unreadable version is a word-only font, so I would have to send a word document with it inclosed). You grind up the object inclosing that essentia and it stores it in the table until you tell the table to use it. If you have 1 Tinker's Luck stored, the chances are high that it will waste the essentia an pour it into the air as flux, giving you nothing in return. However, if you have 99 (100 or more equals certain) the chances are high that it will safely use the essentia (no flux poured out) and produce a (random of the category special, i.e. you will not get dirt) special item or research that can not be obtained (not easily, at least) through many other sources. You can then start the cycle again by adding more essentia. If you like this idea, I can give you the details, and/or other ideas. Thank you!

i had to reread a few times, to understand what you where talking about.
i guess, youre talking about the thaumcraft 3 version of thaumic tinkerer, since you mentioned a thaumic tinkerer wand.
the current version of the mod is for thaumcraft 4 for minecraft 1.6. (you might want to look into updating minecraft, the mod is awesome )
thaumcraft 3 is not supported anymore. ill just go ahead and say, i doubt hes gonna add content to an outdated version.

I know that. The Thaumic Tinker and the Thaumic Luck tinker wands are very different things… The luck one is infused with the Tinker's Luck essentia and has a different effect than the normal tinker one. By the way, I think the main reason this is unclear, is because most of the things I mentioned were MY IDEAS, so they are NOT IN the mod yet… I did not make that clear, so I am not mad. Vazkii could make a version for Thaumcraft 4 that has these items in it.EDIT: Sorry, I did make a typo. I meant a thaumic luck tinker wand, not a thaumic tinker wand.P.S. Please Approve. Thank You!
Making me calculate stuff, you...
The total amount of donations received (if you include last month's adfly payment, which I do because it's still money) is 20. The average is 18,8€. The highest is 40€ (without fees) and the lowest is 0.50€ (nothing got to me out of that one).
I'm glad I was able to help, honestly! Unfortunately, I don't have enough to donate the last 24 you need. I'm sorry.

I'm attempting to use the enchanting table this mod adds to enchant a sword of the zephyr with looting III, and this happened. When I try to rejoin the world, it crashes again within a few seconds. (IDK if its relevant, but the wand I was using was a silverwood core with iron caps that I renamed in an anvil "Science Stick")
Also this; the name is weird for all TT enchantments. I took this a few moments before the crash happened.

Are you using the most recent version? The bugs you described should be fixed. Also, I highly enjoy the name you've given your wand (although you really should be using something other then iron as a cap. I'd assume you should have thaumium by now if you've got a silverwood wand).

Off topic but, Vazkii changed his profile pic again! (I wonder how many pictures do you have?)
EDIT: Oh, a paragraph about profile pic changing:
Quote from About Me : 10th Paragraph »
I change my avatar often, I get accused of it pretty often too. I don't like things constant, I enjoy change, that's why most of my mods are small, so I can just work on them and then move on to something else without burning myself out (which I tend to do fairly easily), other things I change often are my twitter bio, my facebook/twitter cover pic, which mod I'm currently working on, my skype message, my wallpaper and my pokemon party during a nuzlocke. That's also the reason why I refuse to watch naruto, dragonball, fairy tail, one piece and other large animes.

EDIT: Oh, a paragraph about profile pic changing:
What are the odds.
