Not much news. Had some higher priority projects that had to be done first but I worked on the mod a bit last weekend. It's getting closer to a new release

I just wanted to add to the comments from others and say thank you so SO much. This is a mod that I check on very frequently (....much more frequently than I'd care to admit!). I'm sure I speak for so many of us when I say that we appreciate your hard work tremendously. Can't wait!!
Feel free to use what we have done so far. As of 10/2/2017 the main carpenters block seems to be working in single player and with a forge server. Lots of the data classes are missing for barriers etc. Also some of the models are not completed but bdogs15 and I have been slowly working through that.

Thanks for your efforts in getting the mod ported. My progress is pretty slow, but I'm putting in time when I can.
I'm just confused on it.. I tried just dropping the .zip file in and it said I needed the .jar, so I saved the zip as a new archive as a .jar, dropped that in and it wouldn't even read it as a mod :/

What .zip are you referring to? Did you use the "Download ZIP" link from the "Clone or Download" menu of one of those GitHub repos that Dockter linked a couple of weeks ago? If so, that will only get you source code, not a mod ready to play.
I've made some progress this weekend. The current POC codebase was hacked together and not easy to untangle, and cleaning it up has produced frustrating bugs... Once I can get the basic render layers working again I will push for another POC build.
See here. http://www.carpentersblocks.com/
Could I use this in a personal mod pack im making for my youtube?
oh ok thanks robijnvogel
Mineshopper I know its hard but any updates. I know I won't get a response but curious.

@Mineshopper,
Two repo's have been started to assist with the 1.10.x and 1.12.2 update.
1.10.x == https://github.com/burpingdog1/carpentersblocks/commits/1.10.2-preview
1.12.2 == https://github.com/AlmuraDev/carpentersblocks/commits/1.12.1

I just want to ask if I can get permission to help port this over to 1.12.1.. I'm building a modpack and would absolutely love to have this in it.
Refer to previous comment, or check out BlockCraftery by Elucent. Both handle that.
Okay.. So how do I use the .zip file as an active mod?
Do you think you could update it to 1.12 since your last update was 1.10.2
AGAIN?
- Guys, we are low on ideas for next exp!
- Let's screw everything and try again!
- Oooh, great idea!

Hence why I previously asked how I go about getting the mod ready to play.. I'm here because I want help
Do you know how to code?
