An ore that drops random items. It's different from other randomite mods in two ways:
1. It supports texture packs. Do you hate it that every non-vanilla ore looks completely out of place when you use a texture pack? Here's an image of randomite with Doku texture pack selected:
The texture of stone is preserved.
2. It supports other mods, out of the box, without the need to edit any configs. Here's how that works: randomite drops items from a random block that can be generated in the same chunk as randomite is; the more rare the block is, the more likely randomite will drop it. If some mod adds a new type of soil and fills half the world with it, it'll be very unlikely that randomite would drop it when mined. If a mod adds some rare ore, like Irridium from Mystic Ores mod, randomite will drop it with a very good chance.
There is also a config where you can tweak some settings.

cxcvi: well, damn. Didn't think there would be downsides to using latest version. It's 7.7.1.651. Could you post the error log? If it doesn't work with recommended version of forge I guess I'll have to downgrade my development environment...
Edit: nevermind, it was an error on my part. Try 1.0.1, it should work.
With all the large abundance of ores from various different mods, I kinda like Scokeev9's version of the Randomite, so I can have slightly more vanilla ores!
The mod support is nice, and the new texture is flashy, but what I don't like is you have increased chances of finding a rare ore!
This is of course just my opinion that rare ores should remain rare for balance's sake!
The idea is to have Randomite be an always desired discovery. If it drops mostly coal, well, that just means it's going to be mostly useless. And to make it all balanced you just have to make it spawn in small amounts.
You can change few things related to Randomite generation, as well as to what block Randomite is not allowed to drop, but the probability distribution can't be changed.
Cool. Although the texture still doesn't fit in. Maybe make a 32x32 texture if the person is using a 32x32 texture pack? I'd download but I'm only looking for mods that try to stay close to vanilla, and randomite doesn't exactly shout that.
ILoveGadgets: It depends on where you place it. If you mine randomite and place it somewhere else, I'll drop something. Also I think torches, fences and planks should be valid drops. If you know shaft is nearby and don't want these, you can use silk touch to move the ore somewhere else.

Are the options configurable at least?

Made a video. Hope it can be featured on the OP. I think I misunderstood some concepts when reading the info.
I'm a pixel artist who makes pixel things and maps! I also do line art occasionally.
I have two work in progress resource packs!
This is the second one!
And of course, by "work-in-progress" I mean "will never, ever be completed".

And it always drops the randomite block itself.
