Would it be possible to get a block that you could pump items into to convert blocks en masse? building a huge structure and then having to convert each stack of 64 blocks is a bit cumbersome. Perhaps a ui similar to the chisel item, but it has an inventory and all the blocks of that type get converted? Maybe even make it sided so we could pipe items into and out of it?
is there anything that can be done about how you mod has the same crafting recipes as a knife in every mod that adds weapons? I love both mods, and I don't want to lose ether one. I only ask because maybe you can help but if not it's ok.
Road lines do not have a recipe, I will fix that before I release my fork. The crafting issues with knives might be fixed, for now use something like minetweaker to create a alternative recipe for it.
Also here is a screenshot of what I've done so far on the fork.
I've been working as if it will be a drop in replacement, so I'm trying to preserve compatibility.
There's honestly no point is there? - I don't think there is... Personally I think you should scrap all compatibility, there is no point, honestly none what so ever. What's your reasoning behind this?
Let me put it this way, I would like some compatibility for a painless migration of worlds using AUTOMATIC_MAIDENS version of the mods to my version. I'm not doing anything about doing the reverse and do not expect it to go very well. Most of the changes I've made have either been adding new things to the original code or working with the rendering back end to do make things like connected textures on micro blocks work or finer grain control over connected textures.
Shame that the original author has disappeared, I wanted to thank him for the cool mod. Its about damn time someone made a aesthetic blocks mod that doesnt just recolor the crap from vanilla.
I know this will probably sound old but is there any chances that you will be backporting the mod to 1.5.2? Since Minecraft uses GPU more and not CPU back when they updated it to 1.6

You can actually controll the gpu amount minecraft uses, by using jvm arguments to set permsize lower, and allocating more ram, if your using multimc this is rather easy.
I felt kinda dumb for asking that, because then i saw your comments about your fork....
Use NEI (not enough items) - it has a mode that lets you see recipes

You craft temple blocks, then toss a ball o' moss at it.
I have NEI, but when I click or press "R" on the road lines, nothing happens, is there an ID problem, or are road lines not made through crafting ?

And as Delta mentioned, minetweaker is the way to go.
Its a fork, its going to be an entirely different mod. But ironically you could have both mods installed
As to conflicting chisel recipes, add stone rods, and make it a stone rod + iron ingot (be sure to register w/ ore dic)
