I personally think that the "Loot mod" have a lot of potential, pretty awesome Idea, specially for multiplayer, i don´t know. It´s a shame that it's outdated...
If true, then the user has do enter the dimensions added by other mods. Now mod such as Biomes O Plenty, Twilight Forest, MoCreatures and Dimensional Doors have an dimension option in their config file.
So I can take those IDs and enter them in Deadly World.
Now, here's the problem: In Mystcraft there's no Dimension ID, because every time you create a book, that book essential is the new dimension. So you can create a book, and that ID would be 120, then you create another book, and that ID would be 88. And so on.
So, apart from Mystcraft, those 4 named mods, I dare said, the most used ones, have dimension IDs exposed.
Couldn't you make it so that you could just add the dimension-id's yourself for the worlds you want it to work on?
Oh well. I really just care about the Lost Books mod atm. Awesome way to get stories started and giving out quests.
Will you update Lost Books? I really, really don't want to be without it. It is so frekkin great for an RP/ADV-kinda server. Instead of offering guides on the website or in books that they buy/recieve from someone they find them when killing mods. It's such an more awesome way to let player find out what all the mods do (well, some of them just check the mod and then the mods site, but anyway).
And also such a great way to offer quests, stories and "hints" to treasures or to hidden portals to other worlds.
One thing I'd love to see in an update (please tell me you'll update, please) is a choice to write books ingame and save them to Lost books (something like "/savebook <name> common/unique).
Oh whatever. Just don't abandon this treasure of a mod.
Are you planning to update your mods (mainly player heads)? If so, is there an ETA, or any other info you could give us? Not trying to rush you, I am just waiting on player heads and a few other mods to make a private modpack, and I am curious

Don't worry - it will be updated. No features on it will be changed (including the default library) until I can get the next version to work properly. Lost Books currently has no known bugs, and I'd really like to keep it that way.
That would be an interesting way to help write a book - the next version will offer something similar: when a book item "expires" on the ground, it will will be saved to be dropped later (it will only drop the book once, however).

I am updating them, but I don't have much time to work on them. Hopefully, they will be finished soon, but I can't give a date.
Thank you for the update! Now all I have to do is update my server
There isn't any chance that 1.6.2 will work with older version? If it doesn't it's ok of course, I just had to ask Love your mods and lovely to see chest loot being updated as well. ;D
Your lost books mod is an awesome way to help people with the mods running on the server btw. Since I run a MCPC server I have a bunch of mods and bukkit plugins but I only give help on the more important things on the website. All other things, like how dimensional doors work, how to get to the twilight, whatever is explained as hints in stories found when out killing mobs
Yes, they can google the mods but I've noticed most people don't realise this (and/or are to lazy)

No problem!
No, unfortunately, the 1.6.2 version is not backwards compatible.
I'd probably be mostly lazy. Seeing a huge list of mods is too daunting to go through and read about every single one, but it's nice to get the mods slowly fed to you as you play the game. Of course, I'd read up on the major mods and any mods that I think could help me accomplish whatever I'm trying to do at the time.

Ah, well I understand it is enough work just to keep the mods updated. It was the new additions that interested med. But I love the mod as it is to.
When it comes to reading up on the mods I wish there was some way to "hide" what mods are used. To offer a server where noone knows what to expect would have been awesome. Running a MCPC-plus server I get to atleast surprise my players with plugins. That's something.

Yeah, I agree. If the players don't know anything about the game they're playing, it's almost like playing a new game for the first time. Of course, combined with what actually happens and what you learn from other players/lost books, you slowly learn about the game. Way more fun! Might be possible in the future?
I just recently found this and I'm lovin' it. Some of the fear factor has definitely returned with this mod.
I'm wondering if it would be possible to change the arrow spawners so they create arrows with a very short lifespan? I encountered one recently and by the time I could destroy the spawner there were probably 100+ arrows stuck in the walls.
D'Oh.. and will you update it? ;_;

Chest Loot and Lost Books are now something I no longer have to make! Kudos sir. ;-)
Of course!
Thank you. It will be updated eventually, though.
I'd have to code things specifically for those other dimensions, so it'll probably come in after a while, if I do add other dimension support.

Server mods have now all been updated. Enjoy!
Thank you! I hope you like the new version even better!
