Just thought I would let you know that the link to the Lost Books 1.0 version you have under the Previous Versions spoiler on page 1 points to the Health Bars download. The link is correct on the Lost Books entry in the server mod topic.

The deadly world mod seems a little TOO good at it's job... I mean, sure I wanted more challenge, but they are absolutely everywhere. and especially those tnt traps that are a pain since you can't really disable them.

Haha, yeah. Sometimes they end up that way, it depends on the world. You can lower all the features' frequencies in the config file (or even disable any of them) to make that less of an issue.
EDIT: Forgot to mention, you should be just barely able to reach the mines without them triggering and destroy them.
hi, in the player heads mod says that y can configurate the drop rate and an option to allow head drops on any death but y dont see the option

In your .minecraft folder, there's a folder called "config", and the properties file (PlayerHeads.cfg) is created in that folder once you've run the game with the mod installed.
You can open and edit it with any text editor.
Hello, I want to let you know that I really like your mods. They are very nice, especially Lost Books. I think it would be really great if you can gather a community writing books for your mod

Thank you! I'm glad you like them. That would be really cool! It is designed in hopes of having a community some day.
Love it!
However, the Lost Books make your own book guide isn't very clear, perhaps you could include a example? I didn't understand what you meant by 'lines', with the first line being the title and the second being the 'by ' thing, i wanted to know what you meant.
Do you mean:
Titleofbook byperson?
or
Titleofbook
byperson
Once i'm clear on it, i'll start writing books left and right in my spare time, right now i'm about to write the Necronomicon, genious right? xD
Stop treating mod devs poorly. These people mod as a hobby or as a service to the community, they don't have to take your suggestion and you are not entitled to anything from them.

By lines I mean your second example, where each line is separated by pressing your enter/return key - that way you can include spaces.
To see many examples, I'd recommend downloading the mod and looking at the books files included in it.
People need to stop making these awesome mods. Because I keep having to mark them under 'must have'.
Also, If I wanted to change up the drop rate of books, how would I tweak that?
Haha, thank you!
Once you've run the game once with Lost Books installed, go to your .minecraft/config folder, there should be a file called "LostBooks.cfg". You can open that with any text editor, and you should see something like this:
# The chance for a book to be dropped from a mob.
D:drop_rate=0.03
Just chance the 0.03 (3%) to whatever value you'd like!
Most excellent. Anyway. Is there any criteria for books you have? Because I'm half tempted to submit some of my in character/in game journals I've been writing, as well as in game/in character manuals for mods I've written as well (I'm having way too much fun documenting stuff from the herbology mod.)
'Reference' documents would be pretty dang cool to include in this mod, I think.
You could basically have stuff like... all the crafting recipes included in several volumes of books... so you wouldn't even have to look them up out of game! There'd be an actual way to play it without EVER looking at the wiki!

Yeah, at least to be included with the mod. It's not really strict; they just need to be at least semi-family friendly, and fitting with vanilla Minecraft.
You're free to host/share your own book packs, which can, of course, be anything!
I have a couple reference documents included, but it's a pretty minimal amount (well, the number of books in general is pretty low).
For deadly world have you considered custom dungeons for different spawner types? So a cobwebbed lair with Spider Spawners, an obsidian ruin for Creepers, an endstone rock for endermen, etc.
Also does it generate the towers etc in the nether and end as well?
Hmm, interesting. Currently, my only plan for dungeons was to have a type that generated completely closed off, possibly holding a very strong mob (or several) that never despawns, in addition to having the spawners in all dungeons configurable like rogue spawners, plus the possibility for the spawner to be a tower instead.
I might do it. Especially the cobwebby thing. Also, I was planning on making "armored" spawners that can generate rogue or in a dungeon (once I expand Deadly World to include dungeons) - they will just be spawners protected by obsidian, which could be very helpful to creeper spawners.
Nope, currently Deadly World only generates in the overworld.
How do you make the drop rate for heads increase for the Player Head Mod?
From your .minecraft folder, open the config folder. Then, you should see PlayerHeads.cfg - open that with any text editor and change the drop rate. The drop rate in the file is the decimal chance for it to drop from 0 to 1 (so, if you want to know the percent chance, just multiply it by 100).
Look inside the config folder in your .minecraft folder. You should have a file in there called HealthBars.cfg, you can open and edit it with most text editors.
Ah, thank you! The link has been fixed.

No, it is currently for 1.2.5.

Yep, it will just take time. It is basically being rewritten from scratch.
