Also on the topic of the new blocks vs stay vanilla, I really want cherry trees to be plantable outside the one biome, i think if you added cherry leaves and cherry wood (looks like oak but the center has a more pinkish center, its planks could be pinkish.) and maybe one more wood, it would round it out very well... and maybe a few new flowers... Thanks for listening

Yes, it uses the Forge BiomeDictionary.
Cherry Trees: The problem is that I'm trying to avoid adding more blocks, to keep it more vanilla-like. That's why I have the current poll question.
Flowers: There's no point when Mojang is adding at least another 10 in the next update.
can u update it to 1.6.4 please i really want it i had it for 1.6.2 and it was awesome! so can u please update it
I'm updating it very soon. Just trying to work out some sand dune code for a new desert. At the moment, my logic is fine but the world takes 2 minutes to load...
Btw. I would like to use your mod in my modpack (link in my signature).
I'm not making any adf:ly (or sth else) money out of it and you will be credited as everybody else^^
Go ahead.
The update will be out very soon, there just always seems to be something that needs adding.
A new release is out for 1.6.4 with 7 new biomes. One of them, the Sahara biome, still needs a bit of work, but I wanted to push an update out before 1.7.1 is released on Friday.
1.7 will probably take a while to update to. Lots of world generation stuff is changing, new biomes are being added. I don't even want to think about adding rare versions of 57 biomes yet...
Additionally, I have exams coming up, and they'll keep me busy for the next few weeks.
Thank you for the release. Since 1.7 will probably be a major pain for all of the mods to update, I feel I'll stay in 1.6.4 for quite some time.
The new biomes I encountered are quite interesting, I assume the Sahara represents dunes formed under constant wind? It's the first time I see such a design in a biome. I also kind of like the Badlands.
I have a question, that has been in my mind for quite some time. One of your biomes is the Creek Bed but I don't remember ever encountering one before. I suppose it's a sub-biome but can you tell me which biome uses it, out of curiosity?
You're right about the Sahara. It just still needs a few more landforms to distinguish it, as at the moment it feels too similar to vanilla deserts.
The creek bed should generate instead of rivers in the sandstone ranges biome.
Hi
Im currently making a server modpack for a server and i was wondering if i am aloud to use your mod in my modpack you will be credited in the signature like everyone else, i wont be using adfly or any other such type things so i wont be making any money

Go ahead. If you release it publicly, send me a link and I'll add it to the list in the OP.
On a side note for anyone else waiting for a version for 1.7 to be released, I can't update until Forge does (and they haven't), and Forge can't update until MCP updates (and as far as I know, they haven't either).
I was wondering if in the meantime you could be interested into upgrading the current version of Better Biomes to become ATG compatible?
While ATG takes control of terrain generation and probably makes some biomes that rely on it heavily (like the Archipelagos) unusable, there are also tons of pleasantly looking biomes in BB that would work marvel alongside ATG.
If I have some time I'll try to hijack some of the ATG ID with BB biomes and take a few screenshots of how it looks.
I've looked at ATG compatibility before, but I got to a point where I couldn't be bothered to overcome the problems I was having with it.
I'll put a poll up, and if there's enough interest I'll work on it once I've gotten an update for 1.7 out. At the moment I'm experimenting with some other mods that I'm working on, so I won't do it just yet.
Not to throw a sparrow in the works, but would love to hear how to fix this one. I've double-checked the configs to make sure they're what was in place on start.

I think that it just tried to add a biome to a non-existent world type. Is the Better Biomes world type disabled in the config?
If so, re-enabling it should fix the problem. I'll make sure that it's fixed for the next update.
Hey can you add Mo'creatures support i tried the config thing but that didnt work oh and im using 1.4.7 cause of tekkit-lite so maybe a all version solution? just a request :u

How soon is "very soon"? I'm waiting for the update to 1.6.4 before exporing any new chunks. Thanks!
Very soon is right now. Version 1.3.1 has been released for MC 1.6.4 with 7 new biomes.
Thank you! I'm going to go get it right now.
