I have a question. I played FTB 1.47 direwolf20 pack and Mindcrack pack and there was a feature i really liked. But when i swtiched to 1.5 and installed the 1.5 version this feature was gone. Now i could be wrong and this could of been from a different mod but it wouldn't make much sense. In 1.4.7 you use to be able to highlight the item and roll your mouse wheel back and forth to either take an item or deposit an item. In 1.5 it does not exist. Now like i said i could be wrong and this could be from another mod but It would not make much sense at all. Thanks if anyone could answer!
I read back a couple pages and found out it was nei sorry for the pointless post.
I already asked this, but didn't get a response. When I press the sort key immediately after exiting a crafting table in SMP, the game freezes. I have to manually quit the program and relaunch minecraft. Is anyone else experiencing this glitch?
I'm playing Vanilla 1.5.2 on a server and have this installed via MultiMC, running Forge 7.8.0.685, Optifine 1.5.2, and Rei's Minimap 1.5.2. The restock for a broken tool works but sorting doesn't. When i sort in a chest via buttons or middle click, or in inventory via 'R' or middle click, the inventory sorts, then reverts to what it used to be and now I'm holding an item. If I remove said item and sort, I get a different one. Is this new? Can I fix it?
Yes, but how are you proposing to DO this? These other chests are not the currently open GUI, so the mod can't simply send out simulated clicks to sort them. Without adding specific support on the server side for this, I would either have to try to simulate closing the current chest and opening the next one (dealing with the possibility it's out of range or cancelled by the server), or wait until the player did that themselves. I'm not really trying to come across as annoyed, but there are many things that sound simple until you try to work out how they would actually have to do things, with the limitations imposed by primarily being a client-only mod in mind.
Kobata, you've missed the intent of the question. He never asked to sort 20 chests at the same time. He's asking to sort just *one* chest, but to have a delay between actions. NC+ blocks the action if it detects more than 10 stacks moving within 50ms. This means that InvTweaks needs an option for a pacing delay between actions so that the inventory sort (of a single chest) is not "too fast", to allow it to work on servers where NC+ is installed.
This is important to me as well, as many servers now have NC+ installed preventing InventoryTweaks from sorting.
Kobata, you've missed the intent of the question. He never asked to sort 20 chests at the same time. He's asking to sort just *one* chest, but to have a delay between actions.
No, he was definitely asking to sort multiple chests (Edited quote of what I was replying to below)
My suggestion was this: When sorting an open inventory (other than the players) have a method that searches for nearby chest blocks (there's at least one API for that, likely others.
When other chest blocks are found add them to a dictionary (or some such Java Collections, must be a one to one or one to many collection so that you don't get duplicate chests) and take the information from said dictionary and place it into a queue.
I'm having trouble making InvTweaks keep potions at my hotbar. I believe I have configured the Rules correctly, as I refer to a group from the Tree. Is it a bug, that is won't recognise potions? Or is it just me being stupid?
It should work there, but apparently I missed some new potions being added. It might be a bit screwy because it tries to prioritize 'current item' over other rules, but that rule matches all metadatas on the same ID (so it probably matches 'any potion' in preference to your rule). This is fixed in the dev versions to actually be exact on items that it matters on.
right i need help when i press my sort button the items go weird then one goes to my mouse cursour
example:
Since you're on a server, it only can be the NoCheatPlus plugin which disables cheating on server, including InvTweaks. With chests and other things it won't work, either.
I know this isnt your fault but. Trying to DL 70 mods off mediafire. They limite you to 10 a day. thats 7 days of waiting for mods to download. manually. Totaly BS, Is there ANY other host you can use please?
I play Super Craft Brothers Brawl. When I spam potions with Creeper, I run out then I switch to the next slot. Then the potion glitches and disappears into my inventory. So I am left with a spot that is supposed to have splash potions but rather than that, it is in my inventory. If I run out of potions then wait for the potion to go into my hotbar (I have to wait a few seconds) I could be dead by then. What is causing this? Do I have to not play that class then?
No, he was definitely asking to sort multiple chests (Edited quote of what I was replying to below)
The thread I was following was by TheMightyAnonym. I may not have directed your attention correctly.
Lets start over.
On the subject of anti-cheat blocking of InventoryTweaks, have you considered adding a programmable delay (defaulted to zero) between item moves to allow chest and inventory sorting when NC+ is enabled? If it already exists, how do I configure it?
Im not sure if this have been ask before. Can you sort tool with enchantment?
for example: I want my silk touch pick in D1 while D9 will be my fortune pick.
thanks for your time.

Probably a texture pack error, nothing to do with this mod.
Im not sure if this have been ask before. Can you sort tool with enchantment?

thanks for your time.
The itemtree/rule info's representation of items only handles ID and metadata, so it is currently not possible to specify specific enchantments for specific slots.
There is a bug in my game where if I press the middle mouse button to sort while I'm in an Industrial Craft 2 GUI such as a generator or a bat box it sorts my inventory bar and puts my pickaxe, shovel etc. into my main inventory box.
I'm not sure if this is an issue with InvTweaks or with Industrial Craft 2 but it gets annoying so I thought I'd post it here. I would download the API you have but Mediafire doesn't let me, another download location would be helpful. Sorry if this has been posted before.
You shouldn't be able to middle-click sort while in generators or batboxes in the first place, they aren't listed in the compatibility info. (The IC2 things explicitly enabled are the safe and reactors) If it got forced somehow, then it's being messed up because their slot layouts don't match the expected order.
Any help. I lost my ability to shift middle click and auto fill everything. =( Now shift middleclick just acts like middle click and Im unsure how I even broke it. =/ Is there anyway to fix it? Manually making 8 chests is long. @.@
Tip: The middle click shortcut behaves differently if you target the crafting input: in that case, it will adjust the item amounts to balance them, helping optimize your recipe input. For example, if you want to make sticks, it will make sure your wood will be split equally between the top and the bottom stack.
But I installed modular power suits. Ended up crashing my game once about an hour later, and then when trying to craft as normal. Hold down left click to make a frame of 8 wood, hold down shift middle click, it just sorts the inventory. And yes, this is while hilighting the wood inside the crafting input as I always did before. Unsure how the hell I broke it. D=
when i open my inventory my game crashes with this error message (i only have this mod installed)

Using InventoryTweaks-1.55-dev-b32.jar
Having an issue with sorting my inventory while looking at the GUI of an Iron Furnace. I open the furnace, move the cursor to My Inventory and middle-click. Slots 1-3 jump from my Hotbar into my Inventory. I know this is a bug while in Creative (Hotbar to inventory jumping while sorting no matter the screen) as thats always happened for me no matter the version, but this is something new that I don't remember seeing in 1.54.
I have tried deleting the previous config files, but that doesn't seem to help. Thought it popped up with b32, so I reverted to b28 and regen'd the configs, the problem is still there. Not sure what to try next as there is no error messages being given.
*edit*
Mistereel, you might want to switch to MultiMC as its a better solution. Check it out.
My download gave me a .zip called InventoryTweaks-1.54b.jar
I'm not sure if it's supposed to be a .zip or a .jar file, but none the less it works just fine
So, there's custom sorting. So what? Is there some slot group (like A-D) for armor?
Feature request/I missed something: sorting by enchant? I have a silk touch pick in slot D1 and a fortune/digging pick in slot D2. Is there any InvTweaksRules.txt way to put them in their respective slots? If so, how?
My download gave me a .zip called InventoryTweaks-1.54b.jar

Doesn't matter. .Jars are renamed zip files, essentially.
can someone help me? when i try to install it in the magic launcher, it simply says: no mods found
does somebody know why this happens and how to fix it? and i really can't work without the mod. because i normally play FTB and it's so damn usefull.
Use MultiMC, IMO it's less terrible and does less weirdness. (note: I'm not paid by its dev to advertise it. It's actually awesome and not a virus.)
can u change the download jar for inventory tweaks to winrar? it doesn't seem to load the mod but my other mods with winrar folder do
A problem which occurs when you DONT use winrar or 7-zip with mod-zips is:
If you extract the modfiles with builtin M$ win-folder support, the mod won't work anymore. Don't ask me why. But packing and unpacking of java-classes should always be done with either winrar or 7-zip, never with M$'s builtin zip-folder support.
If you manipulate the mods files (eg "textures") you make them disfunctionally when using M$.
Your simple solution is: Don't unpack! Just throw the *.jar mod files into your mods folder *without* unpacking them.

*edit 2*
Error posted to Github.
I'm not sure if it's supposed to be a .zip or a .jar file, but none the less it works just fine
Feature request/I missed something: sorting by enchant? I have a silk touch pick in slot D1 and a fortune/digging pick in slot D2. Is there any InvTweaksRules.txt way to put them in their respective slots? If so, how?
Doesn't matter. .Jars are renamed zip files, essentially.
Use MultiMC, IMO it's less terrible and does less weirdness. (note: I'm not paid by its dev to advertise it. It's actually awesome and not a virus.)
