I am pretty sure I read somewhere that Giganotosaurus was able to achieve great bursts of speed (faster than trex) when chasing prey for a short time

1. Since some people have been saying that there hasn't been enough work on the archeological side of this mod, how about a new enemy mob which can be summoned by Anu like his own pet or maybe a temple where this mob can be summoned, like a pyramid.
2. How about dinosaur armour? Sounds a bit far fetched but its been done with horses in 1.6 so why not with the ridable dinosaurs? It would look pretty cool to get armour in diamond, iron and maybe even scarab gem.
3. Going back to the archeological side maybe a museum could be added where you can find rare items and dinosaur skeletons (which are already in the mod), maybe even an archeologist like the ones which currently spawn in villages.

Really. You didn't have to be such a meanie. I understand Joniokonio's of 1.6.2, since the update messes things up. However, I also explained to him nicely that if 4f remains on 1.5.2, noobs like you will spam the post "UPDATE TO 1.6.2!". Go learn your manners, kid!

As one of the people waiting for more of the archaeological side of things, neither idea 1 or 3 are what I'm looking for on the archaeological side. Idea 1 is just another mob...which isn't archaeological at all. I like idea 3...as I like like mod specific villagers, but it doesn't add things to do and explore and isn't something to do.
How are they not archaeological?
Per Wikipedia: "Archaeology, or archeology, is the study of human activity in the past, primarily through the recovery and analysis of the material culture and environmental data that they have left behind, which includes artifacts, architecture, biofacts and cultural landscapes (the archaeological record). Archaeology studies human prehistory and history from the development of the first stone tools in eastern Africa 3.4 million years ago up until recent decades. Archaeology does not include the discipline of paleontology."
If you read the description of what archaeology is you will see that adding a mob is not in any way archaeology and while adding a museum or villager would be nice, they are not archaeological either. There are many ideas that have been posted by myself and others on Github that could be implemented.
Well, I understand,, but what I don't understand is that some of you are trying to shoot down 4f for not adding anything archaeological yet.
Stop it alraedy!! We are a team, not only 4f. And as of me, I annoyed him with "Let's not add more dinosaurs for now". And we should be shot down for that. Because if you look at it right now, we aren't staying true to the title.

No, it's not that. I have a great deal of respect for what 4f and the whole team has done and would never "shoot them down". They have almost completely rewritten the mod and fixed many bugs, which is wonderful. The main point that I was trying to make in my posts every time this comes up is that the complete focus of the mod to this point has been on dinosaurs and the adding of more and more of them but absolutely nothing is being done to the archaeological side of things. Which makes the name of the mod kind of misleading if that side isn't going to be developed.
I've talked to 4f, Tyranno66 and Microjunk (when he was part of the team) about this and they said they didn't know what to add and had forgotten about the ideas on Github. I just hope that some of that get added sooner rather than later, since the dinosaur part of the mod really has no interest for me other than collecting the relics and fossils and analyzing them. Once I have the eggs they just sit in chests since that part doesn't hold interest for me. I know that other people love that side and I'm not saying that there shouldn't be dinosaurs. It's just that the name of the mod is Fossils and Archaeology...and Fossils should include more than just dinosaurs and that it would be nice to see the archaeological side get some attention now.
