Nice mod
If you are thinking about adding durability to the flashlight, could you make it so that when it runs out of durrability it won't work. So, the durability bar would represent the amount of battery left in the flashlight. You can add durrability to the flashlight by putting it in a crafting table with a redstone dust. One redstone dust would heal the flashlights durrability like 1/10 of the bar, that should stop the complaining about it being overpowered.

I had some of the same ideas like using the crafting table. Whatever I do implement will be similar to this.
Just saying, I feel like it should only be effective within a certain radius, it's weird how you can shine a light miles away and it acts as if it's right in front of you.
After downloading this mod, and playing with it a bit, I have to say: I love it. I want more. But, I also have to say, the item PNGs are rather poor. So, I made new ones.
The unlit one. If you look closely, you can see a button on it. If needed, I can brighten the colors to make it easier to see.
The lit one. Again, the colors can be lightened if necessary. Feel free to use both of these in the mod. I've already updated my copy with them.
So, after playing with this mod for several hours, I have a few suggestions.
First, change the stone used in the crafting recipe to all iron bars, and have the switch be replaced with a button. That'll make it more like a modern flashlight, at least one that size. Plus, it'll make it more expensive.
Second, going along with the steel frame idea, make it deal more damage on hit. I'm not thinking anything too big, but if you have a flashlight that size in real life, made from steel, it deals some SERIOUS damage when it's swung. Perhaps as much damage as stone sword, or a wooden one. Either one would make this more multipurpose.
Third, updating the idea of durability. Make it so that it does have a battery bar, but that it doesn't degenerate over time. Instead, make it have a "Boost," button, which makes the flashlight brighter, but does use battery power. I was thinking increase the light size, and, as an added bonus, also light zombies and skeletons on fire (Those mobs that would be damaged by sunlight.)
This mod is awesome! but you should add batteries,it will make the mod more realistic(and for survival)!
and why not make another flashlight type(like gold, diamonds, etc)? if the recipe is cheaper, the light is
not that shiny

The durability is in consideration and mining helmets would be a great idea!
That would be great!
Thank you!
Btw, the mining helmet idea is great.
Thanks
Nice video, I will feature it soon
P.S. Suggestion - batteries made of redstone dust.
it really helpful...
i think it must have shortcut to activate the flashlight
so we dont need to hold it...
