On the ease of getting wither stars, time sinks =/= difficulty. Just because it takes forever to get three rare drops from a rarely spawned mob doesn't make it difficult. Killing the wither is difficult (not counting mods with over-powered armor), not getting the skulls. That's just time wasting.

Really? We played 3 hours and now we have 139 nether stars! That's no time! For wither you need only a few ghat tears, claws and then you get the inner core with can be used to spawn a wither! easy peasy.... 3 hours....
I'm trying to make the Experience Tome which I need a bottle-o-experience. I followed the recipe from bluedart's video and direwolf20's mod spotlight and the recipe does not work. (water bottle, redstone, and glowstone).
The only recipe shown in NEI is something from bee's (intellect drop around an empty bottle). I'm not doing bee's in this playthough. I also thought, if I didn't have bee's installed, there would be no way to make it at all.
I'm assuming he updated the recipes for balance but I can not find the update information.
What I meant is that killing the wither isn't hard, with all the overpowered armors in the game.
Getting the skulls to make the wither normally isn't hard. It's just time wasting. Relying on luck doesn't make something hard. And finding a fortress in vanilla, then finding a rare spawn in it and getting a rare drop, is just luck.
So the Dartcraft recipe for making a bottled wither isn't making the game easier. It's just removing a timesink that's there to make you think it's difficult.
A lot of the "difficult" things in Minecraft are nothing of the sort. They're just timesinks. Creepers are difficult. They give you a warning that you're about to get blown up, and can be killed or avoided if you're paying attention. Spending a couple real life days trying to find some diamonds so you can make a pickaxe to get the obsidian to make a nether gate, then hoping you can find a fortress without getting completely lost isn't.

nothing is broken, if people feel like they need to shortcut some things dartcraft does it's absolutely wonderful best to allow that, perfect as is.
while we're on the force wrench (sort of, earlier this page at least) and the serializing chests and machines, can there be anything done about how picky the chest or machine is about where it's placed back down, they just don't want to be put in certain spots (often where they were taken from) for some mysterious reason more often than not.

24 hours gone again, wasted in futility, welcome to minecraft modding, that is (unfortunately) our community.

i keep making the same mistake, i think "oh, i've given them a few months, surely it'll be fixed by now" THAT is why i seem to ALWAYS be angry to some of you, my advice is to get the lead out.
there were nice things here, until the mod author threw a tantrum.
I have found that the ability of the Force Rod to pick up fire blocks, combined with its ability to turn chainmail into iron ingots gives almost completely free iron.
How to Reproduce:
1. Use flint and steel (or some mod item that does the same thing) to ignite a fire.
2. Click the fire with a Force Rod.
3. Craft the fire blocks into chain helmets.
4. Throw the helmets on the ground and click with the Force Rod.
That's three iron ingots at the cost of six Force Rod clicks and no more than five clicks from flint and steel, less if you set fire to a tree.
I would recommend either disabling the fire block pickup function, or making chainmail armor transmute into fire blocks instead of iron ingots. The former is probably preferable, as Tinkers Construct (if not other mods as well) allows conversion of chainmail into steel.

If you stare at my avatar hard enough, you'll notice that it consists of three triangular rings, interlocked in such a way that if you were to remove any one of them, the other two would be free to float apart.
Is there any support planned for mfr harvesters/planters? Although it's great we now have forestry multifarm support, I think mfr has superior alternatives and would love to be able to farm force trees with it.
I'll second this, and add Steve's Carts to it as well. I'd love to be able to farm these trees with either MFR planter/harvester combo, or a Steve's Carts woodcutter.
is it possible to have it so that if you mine a block while sneaking auto smelt and auto-macerating is disabled until you stop sneaking?
those two are always a bit of a barrier towards using either auto smelt or auto macerating tools since sometimes you want it, sometimes you don't, you wind up carrying two pickaxes instead of one for no reason.

They already work with SC, just use an exotic trees addon on your cart.
Nuggets don't drop from trees this way, though.

Force Transmute an Enchanted Book, no?

Shift+right click but armors are not socketable, just some tools are.

Looks like more a bug to me.
You don't do that anymore. Just enchant it in the fancy obsidian thing like the rest of DC's tools.

reading back through the forum I found my answer after all.
