I have no idea what this stuff is trying to tell me. ._.
You've got a block ID conflict. A glass fence gate from one of your other mods is trying to occupy the same spot as Bibliocraft's lanterns. You need to go into the config files (.minecraft/config) and change one of those items to have a different block ID number. You can use a standard text editor, like notepad, for editing config files. Just save when you're done.

[Scott]: Things I have managed to get in the last five minutes, in order of ascending importance: cobblestone, planks, lapis lazuli, redstone, gold, coal, diamond. VERY LOST.
That? Just that? Thats simple... TOO simple. I'm actually suspicious of how simple that is.
.....Is this a trap? *Jesting*
Weird thing is when I go past 2256, I hit numbers in use by forge itself, but none of the forge config files have any numbers listed in them. At this point just keep going up until it works?

Pretty much. Sounds like someone is off-setting by 255, which I hate. When I put a number into a config file, I want it to be that number, not that number + 255.
Actually, it might be even easier to look at the IDConflicts.txt Forge should generate for you in your .minecraft folder. Should show exactly what's conflicting and give you some suggestions as to empty ranges to try. (I usually forget it's there; sorry for not reccing it earlier.)

Another method is to go into NEI's options and dump the id list. That way you can see all the currently open slots and find a large enough open range without worrying about a config using #+255 like ^ stated.

There is a rare mythical button called "Search" that likes to answer questions; however, due to its nature, it often blends in with its surroundings so as to remain hidden.
This mod is simply amazing, I was wondering if anyone wanted to share books they made. I'm trying to make a library full of intresting books, so if anyone would share with me I'd be very greatful. At the moment I don't have much written down but my friend is making a series of books titled the rememberance series, ill happily share it (with his permission). Consider it somthing like give a book take a book.
Did I mention I love this mod?
Off topic, but I gotta ask.... is your avatar a mix of Alex Louis Armstrong from "Fullmetal Alchemist" and Kyubey from "Puella Magi"? Cause if I'm right... you are... you have a weird (if not amusing taste) taste in pictures. lol
Hey Nuchaz
I know that many people have requested for chairs, and I agree whit that.
I was thinking about a feature for chairs, whre if you put two chairs near each other, they would connect texture to look like a bench.
Then if you hit it whit the screwgun they would disconnect their texture
You trying to read my mind? I am actually thinking about doing just this. I'll probably start with just stools that can turn into benches then maybe add like "chair backs" as an upgrade that the player would place on the block space above the bench or something like that and will get the player a different model, from stool to chair. Stools seem like a good starting point because I can make use just one block space.
Multiplayer MCPC+ with Forge .804
Replicated the issue with versions 1.4.0 (test and live server) and version 1.4.1 (test server)
I checked the server.log and Forgemodloader log but none of them showed any errors or any informational messages that anything had occurred regarding Bibliocraft or other failures during the startup that would indicate a save, write, conflict, etc.
If you have any suggestions on anything I can try to get better messages or want to send a debug version, I can run that through pretty quickly and pass on anything I find.
I should note that everything else in Bibliocraft is working great without issues.
Image from test server version 1.4.1
Hmmm, ok, this must be an MCPC+ issue with my packets. I've had some odd issues in the past with MCPC+. I'll download MCPC+ and mess around with when I get some extra time. Maybe I can figure out what is up with my packets there.
Good to hear! Good luck with that adn If I come up with some ideas, I'll be sure to tell you! Actually, here's an idea that's perfect for this mod. Two Words, Improved Signs. I'd like to see signs that hang from ceilings and are editable and maybe have more variety. I already ask someone else to make this as a mod, but I feel you could do a lot more with it.
Signs hanging from the ceiling would be quite nice as well as would more varieties. I thought about doing something with signs a long time ago but never got around to it. Maybe even having a special book that you can use to write text in and then right click a blank fancy sign to add the text. A graphic like from an item would be a handy addition to something like that too. Maybe I'll have to give fancy signs some thought some time and see where they might fit in some future update.
There is a mod out there that does quite a nice job at making signs editable called Panicle Craft, might be worth checking out.
Suggestion: Add some hanging flower pots, or maybe (modular?) planters that hang on walls? Or floors. Whatever. I'd really love to see some stuff like that.
Still loving the mod! I'd love to see more lights, but that's not the first priority. Get that disc rack done yet?
I'm not sure flower pot's are something I want to get into, though I probly could do some interesting things with connectable models and all. There is another mod out there that may interest you reguarding flower pots called Painters Flower Pots, might be worth a look.
Lights are something I want to expand on, with some different designs and even multiblock chandeliers. I might wait till after Minecraft 1.7 due to the changes that will take place. No more block ID's in 1.7. I think that is going to go a long ways toward making mod compatibility go a lot smoother.
The disc rack may get to make it into the next content cycle which I am working on now.
That? Just that? Thats simple... TOO simple. I'm actually suspicious of how simple that is.

from 2256 to like 2270 or somewhere in there the game is finding the vanilla music disc items. We just cant use those for block ids. Shouldn't be an issue in Minecraft 1.7 though.
Speaking of clipboards, I think it would be nice if they were placeable on walls like paintings.
That would be pretty sweet. I might try to do that eventually, But it basically means I have to make a block for the clipboard then do all the stuff to read and render the text in the world. I could do it, but it will take a little work. It would mean I could make the one you carry in your hand render the actually list too, which would be sweet. So yeah, I might do this eventually, but not sure when.
It would mean I could make the one you carry in your hand render the actually list too, which would be sweet.
Rendering the list too? Well, isn't it too... much? I mean, I wasn't expecting this too. My idea of placing clipboards was just a convenience.
For example, in a factory, office or lab, they place a clipboard next to a door or on a visible panel. With this in mind, instead of storing the clipboard in a chest, hidden, I'd place it on a wall next to or in the room where the clipboard is related to. If I need to read it, I remove from the wall and right-click, read/edit, and place it back. It would work like a book in an item frame with name tag (reading glasses required?), but without the frame. I don't want to complicate much. :x
Are there any plans currently to make this open-source? I'd love to see how you got your Tile Entities to be so smooth and stable when using large numbers! Are you using ISBRH?

Ok so here's another part of my Signs Idea. Add a way to make Bigger signs by putting them next to each other and using the...uh...Screw gun to merge them and then you could add a Quill Pen and some Kind of Eraser to edit the sign.

Forever protecting Hyrule with the power of the Master Sword, DragonMaster16.
I suppose there's not much to complain about, so I certainly applaud your work. However, the use of the tape measure and screw gun are not necessary in some places, unnecessarily complicating some items, specifically the table.
Some complexity is expected given the nature of a block, such as the printing press. However, tables are simple items and yet complicated! Placing the table cloth is normal, right click. Removing it, however, requires a second recipe and a completely abstract idea, why not right-click to remove the table cloth with an empty hand when the table is empty? Rotating is the same way, using the ruler seems pointless. You sneak-click to open the GUI but since there is only one item anyways, why not just right click to add, right click to remove? You could then use shift-click to rotate the items.
Anyways, those are just my initial thoughts. I would recommend staying away from tools for simple tasks as much as possible. Asking the player to use a special tool to remove books from a shelf is silly, why is a table cloth any different? Besides, breaking and replacing the table is faster and cheaper since it doesn't require another tool.

Ah, I see what you are wanting now. For what you want, you could use a bookcase, shelf, desk, or table for a quick place to slap it down and pick it back up again.
I don't think I have it setup to read the title of the page when looking at any of those blocks with the reading glasses, but that would be something easy enough to add.
Are there any plans currently to make this open-source? I'd love to see how you got your Tile Entities to be so smooth and stable when using large numbers! Are you using ISBRH?
No plans anytime soon, but if I ever have a reason I need to/want to move on to other things and possibly don't have the time anymore to work on BiblioCraft (or whatever, never know what the future brings ) then I do plan to, at that point, release the source, probably on github.
Also, nope, not using any ISBRH's, I am using all TESR's at this point. I would like to use some ISBRH's for some of the simpler blocks, but haven't had any luck getting OBJ models to render without crashing the tesselator in the ISBRH. I try to cache things and try to do everything I can to make the TESR's so they have as little to do as possible. I am sure there are more optimizations I can make, which I try to go back and do as I learn new tricks and have time. But yeah, I basically followed Pahimar's examples in the EE3 github for my rendering stuff.
Ok so here's another part of my Signs Idea. Add a way to make Bigger signs by putting them next to each other and using the...uh...Screw gun to merge them and then you could add a Quill Pen and some Kind of Eraser to edit the sign.
Sometimes there definitely is times when a big sign would be real nice. The screw gun would be the tool to use to connect them.
Maybe I could even use screw gun modes, so you just change to an editing mode to edit the signs. The less tools the better. Anytime I feel I need a tool to accomplish things I want to try to fit it onto the screw gun. But yeah, I do like the idea of some bigger signs.
So yeah, this is a wierd bug. I did some testing and it seems to be just a bug with the Forge build 866. I hadn't ever seen this issue before now. so I installed build 866 and it seemed that all my blocks look like maps when held. The I upgraded to forge build 870 and it went away, back to normal. I think someone derped on forge 866, so just update your forge to a newer version (or older, heh) and it should be fine.
Actually looking over the changelog in forge, a thing was adding in build 864: "Added a RenderType that allows Map-style rendering w/o inheriting from ItemMap." and that is was messed things up for my stuff, but then in forge built 870 they reverted that change so things work again. So avoid builds 864-869 and all will be well.

You raise a valid argument but I do have a couple reasons for doing things like that with the table.
I wanted to be able to lay things on the table and remove them by hand without a GUI, but I still need the GUI for certain items that can't be placed with a right click (certain mod items like portal guns and gravity guns fall into this category) so adding the gui to shift click solves that. That still leaves a need for a way to remove the table cloth. When you look at it the way it currently is, with the screw gun only has one use, to remove table cloths, I agree it seems silly. But I think when I add several purposes for different tasks to the screw gun, it won't be as bad because it will be just this tool you will likely have around anyway.
Rotating items I suppose could probably be on a shift-click on the sides or something. Part of the reasoning there was so you could setup your prefered angle and it would be less likely someone else would come along and accidently screw it up, so I put it on a tool. But you don't have to use the tape measure, the screw gun works, and many tools from other mods as well, including most any of the different wrenches can be used, so I tried to make it pretty flexible. The first release of the table only had the tape measure as a tool so that is what got that started as being a tool that can be used to rotate stuffs.
So yeah, that is my reasoning behind doing it the way I did.
Still loving the mod! I'd love to see more lights, but that's not the first priority. Get that disc rack done yet?

You've got a block ID conflict. A glass fence gate from one of your other mods is trying to occupy the same spot as Bibliocraft's lanterns. You need to go into the config files (.minecraft/config) and change one of those items to have a different block ID number. You can use a standard text editor, like notepad, for editing config files. Just save when you're done.
.....Is this a trap?
Off topic, but I gotta ask.... is your avatar a mix of Alex Louis Armstrong from "Fullmetal Alchemist" and Kyubey from "Puella Magi"? Cause if I'm right... you are... you have a weird (if not amusing taste) taste in pictures. lol
Speaking of clipboards, I think it would be nice if they were placeable on walls like paintings.

Hmmm, ok, this must be an MCPC+ issue with my packets. I've had some odd issues in the past with MCPC+. I'll download MCPC+ and mess around with when I get some extra time. Maybe I can figure out what is up with my packets there.
The disc rack may get to make it into the next content cycle which I am working on now.
from 2256 to like 2270 or somewhere in there the game is finding the vanilla music disc items. We just cant use those for block ids. Shouldn't be an issue in Minecraft 1.7 though.

Paving the way to a better world!
Another excellent mod for something a little more decorative is CraftHeraldry.
Forever protecting Hyrule with the power of the Master Sword, DragonMaster16.
I came here to report this same issue, using the vanilla MC launcher so not sure if theres and console spam. using forge 866
I use forge 866 with liteloader 04 and Magic Launcher 1.1.7
Ah, I see what you are wanting now. For what you want, you could use a bookcase, shelf, desk, or table for a quick place to slap it down and pick it back up again.
I don't think I have it setup to read the title of the page when looking at any of those blocks with the reading glasses, but that would be something easy enough to add.
Thanks!
I tip my hat to you sir.
