I found that too while looking for mods to compliment SGcraft and i was like thats bs but... because of his license below I left it alone "LicenceThis is free software. You are free to do whatever you want with it."
Greg already knew about my fork, check pages 25-27. Also, our code has diverged greatly from the base mod, the next release will have very little in common code wise with SGCraft.
Hmmz we use this mod but how rare is the naquadah ore exactly cause we never found any
I just created a world with seed "SG2" and it generated a total of 392 blocks of naquadah.
I have uploaded a version with some debugging options in the config file. Turn on debugLava and debugRandom and it will write a message to the log every time it generates a naquadah deposit. You should get about 100 or so of these messages initially when you create a new world. If not, something is probably wrong.
i've only found one issue with this mods so far.. when i go through a SG in creative it crashes the game.. if you need more info.. let me know. i have both client and server side installed.
although it is a great mod i have to agree with others veiws on it needing improvement.
i personally feel that increasing the gate size could add a whole new element to the game. i have experimented with simple ships using the Archimedes ship mod. the issue is that the maximum width and hight of any vessel is restricted to 3x3 in order to fit inside the gate. a larger gate would allow for more complex and interesting designs to be utilized.
I also feel that the mod could greatly benefit from the ability to import worlds as dimensions. this would allow the more creative minecrafters to develop weird and wonderful worlds for others to explore adding an additional form of adventure to the game.
Amazing mod, makes you feel like you are on the show.
Can't wait do until there is an easy way to look up gate addresses instead of writing them down haha.
Maybe look at the stargate mod for bukkit servers to implement how they are showing gates using a sign, but implementing it in your dhd with all the symbols and keyboard input.
I haven't installed it yet, but this mod looks great. Had a question before I download it though.
Do you have to build two stargates and they just act like a portal, or can you put in a random address and go to an actual new world? That would be an amazing way to explore, if that were possible.

This mod is the backbone of our transport system, love it. We even have small puddle jumper ships (archimedes ship mod) specifically built for gate travel. Would be cool if you could construct the gates laying down flat as well as vertical, on some of our mobile mining platforms it would be nice as well =)
We have enountered an occasional bug, where seemingly randomly, when you go through the gate, someone else in the world will also be ported to your landing spot. It seems that it's usually someone who recently used the gate before you.

No, it doesn't generate worlds of its own yet. Sometimes you will come across generated stargates in the overworld, but if you want stargates in other dimensions you have to build them yourself.

That sounds extremely weird. I can't imagine how that might be happening.
Are they really transported, or is the client getting out of sync with the server somehow?
How recently is "recently" -- seconds? minutes? hours?
Do they still have to be near a gate, or can it happen from far away?
Lantea is a fork of this one which at present only has different textures and a better DHD model. I understand there's plans in the works to add more kinds of Stargates in LanteaCraft, while this one (AFAIK) is effectively 'done' but for bugfixes and version updates.

When mango eggs fly, what is the square root of the tomato?
This is an AMAZING mod!! Can you add and iris to the stargate like on the DHD GUI when you right click there is a button in like the corner or something and it closes. Just asking if you can add that in. This is still an EPIC mod keep up the AWESOME work!!
we have SGCraft-0.7.3 and galacticcraft version 955 (the newest version at time of posting)
our config file for sgcraft is like so : http://pastebin.com/k8Zu4ekC
no idea why some entrys are doubeld up,
There's some stuff in there that's not mine (all the options starting with capital letters). It looks like you're using a version of SGCraft modified by someone else, or have been at some point.
My version doesn't work with Galacticraft worlds at all yet. (The big long address is a bug -- it shouldn't be trying to show an address at all for unreachable locations.)

Well, I wouldn't say it doesn't work with them "at all". Only problem is the minus sign in dimension id numbers. It can be changed in galacticraft config files as a temporary solution. So, it does work somehow if people know this little trick. I would recommand you to add this as FAQ if you don't mind.

There's an easy fix for the GalactiCraft dimensions not being reachable, and it works for most other dimensions that suffer the same issue. Go into their configs and set their Dimension ID to a positive numbers. Negative ones (Except for -1) *always* have that problem. Positive ones don't.

Thank you for that information! I'm about to use these mods together so that truly helps!
Okay I am pretty new to modding in general. Once I found this mod I knew I had to have it. However I also have Galacticraft so I want to make sure that I can get SGCraft to work. I am aware of how to fix this error, sort of, however there is another issue that I have with this mod right from the start. I can't access the config files for SGCraft to make the core crystals craftable. I also don't understand why that is not allowed to be crafted right from the start. If anyone can help with finding the file as well as properly editing them, the more detail the better, it would be greatly appreciated.

First of all, you must run minecraft with this mod at least once, otherwise the config file will not generate. Then go to your minecraft folder where you'll find folder called "config". Open config folder and there find "SGCraft.cfg" file. The lines you are searching for in config file are under "Options" section. Just change the value you want activate from "false" to "true".
B:allowCraftingCrystals=true
The reason why it isn't allowed from the start is, that you suppose to find them in dungeons or trade them with tokra villagers.

That is just it. I am pretty sure I have SGCraft is properly installed, and I have already played a bit of the game after installing it. However its config file has yet to appear. Only two of the five mod config files have shown up, specifically Galacticraft and buildcraft. I know at least one of mods I have installed works despite no config file because I can see what it changed right from the start.

Well if the config file is missing and mod is working, then it's quite weird. Did you find any stargate components or items ingame? At least in creative mod? If not, then make sure you didn't accidentaly downloaded and "installed" the documentation file instead of a *.jar file. Generating config file is one of the first things forge does when game is loading mods. (not all mods must have a config file, though.) If you have correct file in mod folder and mod is really working=you can build working stargate and still no *.cfg file in config folder, let me know and I'll upload my config file for you. But you would be the first with this problem, so there would be really something wrong.
