Hi! Its me aigain i just got a new idea(sorry if im bugging you). how about a quartz jem(i have no idea what it could do) and a blaze rod/dust gem that would light enemyes on fire? also a here is how i think the grenade should be crafted(imagine the wool is string)
also, in the same place i read about the grenades, they said cartridges were invented, making realoding faster. could you impliment this somehow?

More inlays with cool effects may be added late (quartz definitely being one of them). I have also considered the idea of pre-prepared paper cartridges for faster loading. Maybe you would have to have a certain inlay to use it...
Have you deleted META-INF? I don't mean to question your intelligence, but that's the first advice that comes to mind.

Haha yes, this is definitely true. Not only does it make the mod balanced give fresh mechanic to combat, and viscerally satisfies you with every kill, it is realistic as well. A 1/2 pound lead ball flying 10 times faster than an arrow is sure to put a stop to anybody, even wearing armor.
Yes i did delete meta inf. but then when i tryed aigain now, it says that my windows in not compatible?? anyway, its seemes that i have somekind of curse that prevents me from having a program that works whithout fail on my computer.(the curse thing i a joke by the way)
btw i get ideas really often, so if you DO need ideas im pretty shure i might have some. btw here are some now(srry if i say something that is already in the mod) a gun whit 3 barrels? it would be awsome and a cool alternative to the 2 barrel gun.also, in the armies that had flintlock guns, there were 2 branches of the army. men armed whit pistols, and men armed whit pikes that protekted the pistolmen(i just invented this word lol)while they reloaded. could it be possible to add a pike in this mod? oh, and in the new update, they will add horses, and,sabres were also used by the pistolmen on horses.also,it is said that when the reloaded, there was a chance that the still burning cinders from the gunpowder could ignite the next shot. could you impliment this? I thought about a three-barreled pepperbox, but I wasn't sure what to do with it, really. I would have it be a gun that would have good power and range but be very hard to load (only at a table, maybe) and be intended for use only in emergencies. It didn't make it into this update though. I probably won't add melee weapons. The gunpowder igniting prematurely when reloading might be too much coding for what its worth, and the misfire mechanic already gives some randomness.
Cool mod you should add stands for cannons and make it so you can atach a bowie knife to the rifle
Mounted, long range cannons will likely be implemented sometime. The musket already has a bayonet which gives it a nice perk over the coming buffalo rifle, which will not be bayonet-ize-able (speaking of making up words).

There are no server files, but it has never been tested (to my knowledge) on LAN.
Both the smelting for coal to gunpowder and iron ingots to round shot will be changed to crafting in the next update.
I tested it on a server, and the game crashes when you try and shoot a player.

I know literally nothing about server-mod interaction in minecraft. I think after the big update is ready I'll put something out asking if someone would be willing to do it for me.
In other news, the update is almost finished! Just needs some more testing and adjusting, and the addressing of the LAN issues (which I may or may not be able to interpret and fix).
I know this sounds stupid but, could you make a gun that can be loaded with 64 shots? it would do minimal damage (half a heart), but have the range of the musket and load with double gunpowder

The closest thing historically to that would be a Gatling or maxim gun, which is a little advanced for the scope of this mod. I am interested in adding a gun like that though, so I'll think.about how I could do that. Although after the update comes out, I'll probably take a short break yo actually play some video games

I really love this mod and I think you have done an awesome job so far. I would really like to see more, but the only difficulty I have is with conflicting mods, this is why I ask about Forge because the way the recent versions deal with ID's is really nice since it allows mods to work together even though they may initially attempt to use the same ID's. Unfortunately, some of the big mods like Forestry are still lagging behind and haven't updated to the newer capabilities of Forge.

The mod is compatible with Forge, ModLoader is only the minimum. Both of the ideas you mentioned were already changed for the big update
This mod no longer has sulfur ore, unfortunately. There was an issue with mod ore generation in 1.5.X Minecraft versions.
