Does FE support teleporting,warp,portals,etc to other worlds? (dimensions?) If so, how would I do that? If not, will this feature be included in the future?
They aren't working for me:
I tried this:
p user @p group set Members
But it added "@p" as player too the list.
And what's abaut perms to to allow/deny a player to hit mobs or brake minecarts
That's just one command. And yes, we haven't actually added them to that command. But we have added them to every applicable one in the Commands module.
As for your other request, it's not possible right now because of the severe lack of hooks in Forge.

Ok, I found the way to export the files, but since I have no registered players, I don't know the format to enter. Can anyone p[rovide the format of a player in players.txt?
WorldBorder is still being a pain when doing a fill last time I tested. Hope that gets ironed out. Any ability to force (I know it is still early) WorldGuard functionality to force "WholeChunk" claiming rather then arbitrary coordinates (e.g. Effectively rounding up to the whole chunk).
A friend and i are having an issue, we installed Feed the beast and your pack along with it, the problem is we dont have permission to change anything in game, and we are unsure how to create permissions for ourselves out of game, we've searched and searched with no result but were directed to the ForgeEssentials forum so, here I am, "How do we set permissions out of game for ourselves?" :/

How to get start it!
You remove Worldedit and it´s always try to Download it
Of course it does. It's a required library. If you remove WorldControl from the mods folder, then it doesn't make a difference whether it's there or not.
18:02:47 [SEVERE] [ForgeModLoader] There was a problem downloading the file worldedit-5.4.6-SNAPSHOT.jar automatically. Perhaps you have an environment without internet access. You will need to download the file manually or restart and let it try again
They removed the file b/c they are no longer useing World Edit. I guess we need to wait for a new build.
Added back temporarily until we make another release. We are dropping WorldEdit, but our WorldControl will still have all of WE's functionality eventually.
i hope a anti creeper thing will be implemented, and do not mention game rules! they change the wither and i only want the creeper as no block damage pussys.
dropping WorldEdit ? why ? its about the only thing that works 100 %. i think you should work on things that are not there ( tpa ? jail ? temp ban/mute? ) and let things that are working untouched
What's working 100% right now IS WorldControl. We never released any version with WorldEdit integration. And there is still a lot missing from that type of module.
And, for your information, tpa is already in the current beta builds.
Awesome work so far, everything works well. I'm also pleased to see responses in this thread to inquiries!
What would be a good method for modifying user & group permissions not ingame? It's rather tedious and unruly attempting to manage permissions by individually adding them to groups and not being able to see a list of what you've added.
The vanilla override list here doesn't seem to include the command "/list". Perhaps I'm mistaken and "/list" isn't a vanilla command. I tried allowing the permission node ForgeEssentials.BasicCommands.list on a group but it didn't work (individuals in the group were unable to "/list"). I noticed that the default groups that ship with FE allow "/list". Could you help me out with this?
I'm getting the lines
[INFO] [ForgeModLoader] FML has found a non-mod file ForgeEssentials-[modname&version].zip in your mods directory. It will now be injected into your classpath. This could severe stability issues, it should be removed if possible.
for all the ForgeEssential .zips. What does it mean and what should I do?
@infinituslacuna
don't worry about the FML error.. thats meant to happen. it doesn't do anything.
Look at the wiki regarding the permissions and commands.

Right, I did. Please read my post in full. "/list" isn't on the ForgeEssentials vanilla commands list, and when attempting to allow ForgeEssentials.BasicCommands.list permission to a group it doesn't work.
Also, what about my first question regarding editting user/group permissions without being ingame?
https://github.com/ForgeEssentials/ForgeEssentialsMain/wiki/How-to-Ban-Items
Now we have the nocraft down, lets take a look at the nouse. This will allow the player to have or craft the item but will block the use of the right/left clicks or placement of the block. I will use TnT again(id=46) for this example. Say you wanted your players to be able to acquire this item for use in crafting or some other need but its also a destructive item that may bypass protections you set so you want to block this from being placed in your world. You would use the nouse ban. Lets have a look at what this might look like in the cfg.
####################
# nouse
#===================
# Configuration options to make an item unusable.
####################
nouse {
# Use this format: "id:meta". Use meta -1 to ban ALL variants of an item/block.
S:List <
46
>
}
Right there in their Wiki... so back to the original question: Any thoughts on doing the NOUSE by world?
Preferably from someone who has at least read FE's wiki...
Any chance of a response AbrarSyed? Curious on how we restrict per-world.
If we are to restrict certain things like that per-world, it would be a full permission. hence youd be able to disable stuff like that per player, per group, pr World, per zone.. whatever whomever and wherever you want.. and honestly.. thats a great idea.
Make an issue for that on the github.. an issue is the only way to help us remember that we need to add a certain feature.
Hi is fill command working? As i see no changes after i use it. Does it delete and generate chunks up to border? Also can we get trim command in near future? thanks (ForgeEssentials-ServerComplete-1.4.7-1.1.1.251-on server)
define trim?
And yes.. the fill command works just as you described.
I'm from a medium-sized public server.
Our main server uses bukkit.
We plan to open a second server with forge, ftb and - ForgeEssentials.
After the 1.1.1 update it got really useful. It is a pleasure to see most of the things working.
In fact - everything i tried worked.
I thank you for this useful, extensive and promising modification!
But of course there are things we have to get control over, before we really can go live with a public forge server.
Functions i can't wait to have in order of their importance for me:
Item-Ban and use/nouse settings for groups (really, rea-lly need that)
Mobspawn control for zones (nice-to-have: the possibility to influence the spawnrate)
Exact respawn point (no respawn-area)
Group/Range-Chat (public chat = not much that is more annoying)
nice-to-have: A way that people can protect a limited area themself (max blocks per player, configurable)
I've spent many hours on your github sites and considered requesting things - but i'm not sure where they would go?
The issues on your github looking like bugs and not requests. So i'm not sure...
What is the best way to request features and keep on track with their possible progress?
I really thank you for you effort, ForgeEssentials team.
All of what you want is Incomming in version 1.2.
PLEASE request things.. we use the Issues as our TODO list. Everything there will eventualy be resolved. And it will either be catgorized for the next update, deferred for a later update, or marked a HighPriority bug fix.
They do.
Not yet.

Could someone post the 3 export files for me so I can modify and import them?
Thanks

We already have block breaking and placement in PlayerLogger. We don't have chest access yet because Forge doesn't have a hook for it.
Of course it does. It's a required library. If you remove WorldControl from the mods folder, then it doesn't make a difference whether it's there or not.
