How are people suposed to know how to open the H2.db files now since you guys just flat out deleted the post on the wiki for no reason???
FYI, it wasn't for no reason. The link to it on the main wiki page was replaced with the page that has the information AbrarSyed just told you about /feperm export. We aren't in the habit of simply leaving our users hanging by removing information and not replacing it.
I didnt meant you were doing nothing, I notice the changes on world edit stuff, but I dont want to do any permission thing. I want to check the player logger from the old version. To see if some stuff was stolen from a chest and some blocks modified. It had that feature right?
it does.. and it DOES NOT use the h2 database.. the PlayerLogger is disabled by default.. and only takes effect when/if you enable it in its config and make setup the mysql stuff for it.
Bumping my former post as i am still getting the error on the server when doing /help on a client. "Comparison method violates its general contract!" I need help on solving this. Other commands seem to work but /help throws that error...

the issue with /help as op throwing a server hiccup has been posted as error here but it looks like none of the devs have actively investigated it yet. It'd be nice if there was some feedback.
For the item ban I would like to restrict people placing buildcraft quarries in the main world. I see in the documentation ho to restrict the placing of a block (yet still allowing them to craft it) but there doesn't seem to be any capability to specify a world in which the restriction is taken into account. Any plans for that?
I dont think there is a way to restrict specific blocks from being placed, so you should suggest it on github.
https://github.com/ForgeEssentials/ForgeEssentialsMain/wiki/How-to-Ban-Items
Now we have the nocraft down, lets take a look at the nouse. This will allow the player to have or craft the item but will block the use of the right/left clicks or placement of the block. I will use TnT again(id=46) for this example. Say you wanted your players to be able to acquire this item for use in crafting or some other need but its also a destructive item that may bypass protections you set so you want to block this from being placed in your world. You would use the nouse ban. Lets have a look at what this might look like in the cfg.
####################
# nouse
#===================
# Configuration options to make an item unusable.
####################
nouse {
# Use this format: "id:meta". Use meta -1 to ban ALL variants of an item/block.
S:List <

}
Right there in their Wiki... so back to the original question: Any thoughts on doing the NOUSE by world?
Preferably from someone who has at least read FE's wiki...
I am having an issue where i am stuck in the guest group, i am op but it sayis i dont have access to commands to creat new groups or even /p export. Please help.

Then you're not op, or you would have all permissions. Trust me, this has been proven working for over a month now.
The 1st post dictates how to report errors. In case you guys didn't notice.. there are a TON of issues there. We are trying to prioritize what gets fixed first, wand what gets fixed last.. and so on. Sorry if we ignore you.. it just means we have noted the problem, and are working on it. If we reply.. its usually with an instant solution.
answer to your question is this...
Yes, we have protection similar, but better than ModifyWorld.
ForgeEssentials is NOT compatible with BukkitForge, or any Bukkit plugins...
FE is meant to be a clean break from Bukkit.. generally we DO NOT have the same nodes.
does the version 1.4.7-1.1.1.251 works only with the latest forge (minecraftforge-universal-1.4.7-6.6.1.524) or would it work with the 1.4.7 - 6.6.1.515 as well? I tried to install it on the 6.6.1.515, the server starts but no ForgeEssential folder is created.
Edit...
I got it to work...
the only thing what i couldn't figure out yet is this *colorize* command.. how does it works and what does it?
Does it colours the font on the signs? And if yes, how i can choose the colour?

Colorize parses the color codes in signs. In order for it to work, you have to type /colorize and click on a sign that already has color codes in it.
It's great to see this mod finally completed, great job devs!
However, will there be a chest/custom block access logging function for player logging module in the future?
FYI, it wasn't for no reason. The link to it on the main wiki page was replaced with the page that has the information AbrarSyed just told you about /feperm export. We aren't in the habit of simply leaving our users hanging by removing information and not replacing it.

Hope it's more informative now!

Not likely you'll get an answer unless you follow the guidelines for reporting in the first post.
Doesn't happen if I revert to coremod 1.1.0

I wouldn't say so.
